The best dealer for Buick/GMC service in the area by far. Affordable routine maintenance prices for quality work. They do a brake fluid change for around $100. The same thing with power steering fluid. Most dealers are charging twice as much and they dont even clean out the lines properly first.
Stoops Automotive is absolutely far and away the best dealership serving northern Indianapolis Hamilton County and Madison County. Their customer service from sales and service and the quality of their culture is impeccable. Whether you’re looking for a new or used car I can’t say enough about this dealership I have purchased over 20 cars there including my new 2021 Dinali and it is absolutely fantastic. This was the easiest experience I have ever had buying a vehicle. Quickest ever, Steve knocked it out of the park. Took care of everything and was very knowledgeable with all of the options that came on my truck.
Dropped off my truck when they opened to get oil and fuel filter changed. At 3:30pm I called to check on it and they asked if I needed my truck over the weekend because it was not done(!). Representative informed me that they were behind when the day started the day. Why would they not call me the day prior to reschedule? Why would they not offer a loaner if they knew they may be asking to keep my truck all weekend? I know everyone is struggling to deal with short staff but in my opinion the dealership is not managing the situation well. I have never had problems like this in the past but unfortunately I may start looking for a different GM dealership to visit for service after this.UPDATE: Raising my last review from 3 to 4 stars after the latest visit. Much better communication and level of service. I felt my business was appreciated and I was valued as a customer. The visit was very efficient and left very please. This visit rated 5 stars on its own.

Your finance team was great. We had the opportunity of working with Kevin. He was patient with us and did his best to explain things.However, the sales department was not transparent, didn’t explain what they were doing, and ran our credit without us saying we wanted to buy the car. Then, when finalizing the deal, we finally filled out the credit application AFTER our credit had been ran. He was rude and interrupted me on SEVERAL occasions. Stoops, “I’m glad you don’t play those games there”, because that’s what your sales person told me as he wouldn’t let me finish my sentence. If we didn’t like the car so much and it wasn’t such competitive pricing, we wouldn’t have bought. Like other reviews have said, “one bad apple can spoil the bunch”. Completely appalled by how we were treated.
I’ll tell you, we had a several issues here but Kelly, the service manager is amazing. She treated us right, honestly, and fairly. She is what will keep us going back. I really appreciated the good customer service.
While I appreciate the response, my family member got her car back, finally and will be returning to be fixed again on 8/2. Shabby repair work. If youd like specifics, its a 2020 GMC Terrain. I would love to update my rating, but so far we can not. Hopefully it will be better this time around.This place deserves 0 stars!Our family has purchased a couple of vehicles here over the last few years from Stoops.. Wasnt easy..you have to really work on a deal! And, their repair service is even worse! They have given a completion date 4 times now and after weeks, still dont have a car! I was in search of a 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 and like all other customers, I was having a difficult time finding the right color and options that I wanted. Lucky for me Stoops GMC had the exact truck that I wanted and it was available. I worked with Rich Santomassion in the sales dept. and he went above and beyond. His customer service is top notch. So, when I wanted to get my husband his first new truck in about 20 years, Stoops was the place. Turns out, these are the nicest, easiest to deal with, most knowledgeable folks I have ever run in to in my forty years of car buying. We bought exactly the truck my husband wanted with their helpful advice and guidance. Because off covids effect on supply chain, we had to wait for this dream truck to be manufactured, but were kept advised of the progress and had less than a 2 month wait.
Found you for your service department and recently purchased a car from John. Unbeknownst to us a month later we’d be back to see John again to pick up a replacement for our totaled 2016. John made it fun both times. We’ve made some new friends from the dealership. Financed a car, after 19 days of having the vehicle, only to come outside of my home one day to the car being missing. Thought the car was stolen if it wasn’t for the app. Turns out, I was not approved for the financials and wasn’t told so until I called about the car they stole back with all my belongings in it. I also had a trade in and put money down. They have yet to reach out regarding the incident. It’s been over a week now. So now I’m out of a new car, my old car, and my cash. Also sent a referral who purchased a new vehicle, was told I would receive a gift card. Never got that either. I do not recommend.

Very bad customer service when it comes to servicing your vehicle. I took in my 2021 Acadia Denali because a trim on the passenger side was falling off. I asked to get a loaner while my vehicle was in the shop and they claimed they were only for specific reasons. I also have a water leak coming from the reading lamps and they claim they cannot trace it down which in return they will not fix. 2021 Acadia Denali and they cannot fix???? They have also refused to change a center console piece that was scratched from factory. Super disappointed with GMC and Stoops Buick.

Sales person was great. However, the truck required 3000+ to repair some really essential things. Rack and pinion, leaking struts, etc. so, basically I overpaid.
Ok the service department is amazing! But I had left my debit card at home and didn’t realize it until i went to pay. The lady there was rude and acted like I had to cough up 20 whole dollars. It was an honest mistake and I said when I got home I would call. It took me an hour and half to find my card. She called and was very rude. It was 20 dollars. Not even 50 or 100. I felt awful. And I will come back for my road hazard but that’s it.
As usual, with out long association with Stoops Buick-GMC, they didnt let us down at therecent problem. It was a hot late afternoon, I was to meet relatives at a Plainfield restaurant and my 2012 Sonic Chevrolet (purchased at Stoops) wouldnt start This was after a long time sitting at my retirement faciiity during the pandemic. He does a great job keeping us informed on diagnosis and prognosis. Wayne in service is a master at repairing both our Cadillac and our Jeep Cherokee. I was purchasing a vehicle that my mother had before she passed away. It was a 2012 Terrain with 19,000 miles in it. It didnt get driven much and I wanted an inspection done to make sure I wasnt getting in over my head. JOSH WATSON was my contact and with his expertise, he recommended a used car evaluation. I was very pleased with the service he provided and the knowledge and professionalism he had. Thank you so much for having such a professional staff.
The service department is great however sales not so much.. Our salesman explained nothing about the vehicle all the buttons inside we learned on our own with the owners manual and he lied to us and the person there handling the loan. We were given a paper to sign only to find out later that we should NOT have signed it. That is poor salesmanship and unacceptable. I would never buy another vehicle there and would discourage anyone else to.. I am sure there are some honest sales people there but one bad apple spoils the bag..

Dropped my truck off first tjing in the morning. Got a loaner car to get to work with. About 8 hrs later all was done and under the price I was told. I have never had a bad experance with Stoops.

Extremely disappointed with this dealer. Went to see a 16 camaro SS with an appointment and was told they will get the car out. When i went to dealer car was still inside and i was told that they will allow to test drive only when approved. I found this ridiculous and it was not as expected. Please mention on the ad so that it can save someone’s 40 mins drive.Appreciate your feedback. Your ad itself says test drive. This is for sure not an high end car just a 2SS not a ZL1 to consider your rule. Quiet unfortunate to hear your statement that people who like to drive cannot afford them please dont judge anybody who walks your dealership door. Anyways your car is overpriced I still believe your response was rudeNo matter how much I love the car but not comfortable dealing with this kind of customer service
Josh, the service advisor is the best, he needs a pay raise. He is passionate about his job and he is also very knowledgeable. The dealership feels like your neighbor and not really like a business. I really like Stoops and I am always driving 30 minutes to service my car there. When it is time to get a new car, I will bring my business to Stoops. Like I said before, I do not need a fancy showroom or a fancy customer lounge, all I care is that you treat the customer with dignity and get the job done correctly and timely.

Went to stoops Buick GMC today &c a 2021 GMC denali with the 66 duramax and one wanted to talk to somebody while a guy used to work for is now working there as a sales person he came out and he looked at me and said the truck is a lot of money . I said ya so I want to look at it he was like ya it is in the 80s ya on good I want to look at it so he stopped the person I was talking to on the phone and told him no he is just looking no I was out to get me a new truck so dont go to stoop they lie and dont want to help people that is stoops GMC OF MUNCIE INDIANA DONT GO THERE

My vehicle was in for a routine service and a factory recall. The center Takata air bag propellant needed replaced. My dash was cracked doing this. Even though the service rep warned me this could happen, and stated the dealer would not be responsible for repairing the damage, Im left with a cracked dash. This was a recall on part of the vehicles safety system. How can GM repair my vehicle, while at the same time damaging it, without taking any responsibility for the damage? Says a lot about GM, doesnt it? Im very disappointed in both GM and the service I received.

First service on new car plus two recall items. Replaced tire. All done in a timely manner while I waited in designated area. All Stoops employees were polite and helpful.
Well I told them I had a miss and a issue with the fuel pressure regulator. I said I wanted them both fixed. They had the car for about a month . they fixed the regulator and said it fixed everything else. They also saod they drove it around to test it. Obviously not- when they called they said it was all good and all lights were off and no misses were happening- the second i turned the car on it had a engine light and was missing. Tried to call service after they told me to call on the comment below and it said she was out of office til March 29.

Do not recommend! They convinced me to purchase the tire warranty at the time of my purchase and it has been nothing but a nightmare from day one. After multiple appointments with a faulty tire, they still refuse to replace it after 2 years!
