Purchased a variety of cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday and everyone who tried one SWOONED. Each flavor was beautifully decorated and delicious. The banana ones with pudding in the middle were a favorite. Turns out it’s a mother daughter shop (which I love); the daughter / owner does all the baking and her mom makes the frosting. I can’t wait to shop here again and support this lovely business. Highly recommend!

I googled bakeries near me and the photos of the cupcakes here looked so enticing, so I went, and I was not disappointed. They were deliciously fresh and the buttercream is probably the best Ive ever had anywhere. The staff was also incredibly nice to deal with, especially the lady who came outside to take my order. Will be back for sure!

Today I found something that I thought was gone forever a truly outstanding cake shop. I just finished a banana cupcake which I would choose for the desert for my last meal, All of LiVay,s cakes are moist and delicious with icing that is smooth and heavenly. Central NJ was once a treasure trove of good bakeries, over the years most of the decent bakeries have been replaced by baked goods departments in grocery stores where the wonderful cakes and butter creams lovingly produced by artists have been replaced with disgusting chemical concoctions that I would be ashamed to feed to my dog let alone my family and friends. Please Give them a try.

I would always get more than I really needed so I can feast for a few days! :-) i absolutely love the ladies in there, too... so sweet every time Id go in! Even busy icing cakes, theyd stop to chat. I have had about a 2 year hiatus since I moved and I keep saying I will make a special trip... i really should. It is just SO good!!!

Needed a sweet treat for small birthday gathering and wanted to support local. So glad I found this store. Very impressed with curbside delivery (due to pandemic) and the cupcakes were absolutely amazing. Definitely will be back. Thank you LiVays for a great experience.

Stacey and Mrs. Welch are the absolute best! They accommodated a rush order for my wedding and they nailed it! The sweet potato pies were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back!

My brother and I made a trip to this bakery after my friend Joan S. recommended it. It was a delight! The cupcakes were imaginative and delicious. I shared one with my mom and one with my sons new girlfriend. I plan to return! If you love cupcakes, this is the place to go! The owner is also very friendly and warm.

Ordered cupcakes for my birthday via Uber Eats and was blown away by how fluffy and delicious they were! I hate the sugar bombs they sell at places like Magnolia, so these were a welcome reprieve. So much flavor and not cloying sweet. And the ratio of cake to frosting was perfect. We tried the Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lemon, and Pineapple Coconut and they were all amazing!

She did a great job for my boyfriends photo birthday cake. Everyone loved it, and its so cute.

I’ve become a regular customer ever since being introduced by a friend. Livay offers a great assortment of sweets, which includes cupcakes, cakes, pies, cake pops and brownies. Blue velvet is my absolute favorite flavor and I always buy a few to last me for a couple of days during the week. Stacey and her mom are very pleasant to deal with and offer great customer service. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone that just wants to satisfy their sweet tooth or celebrate and event like a birthday or graduation. You name it and they can pretty much make any kind of cake for you on order. You can’t go wrong their amazing quality and will get hooked quick! Check them out!

Stacey at LiVay is the absolute BEST! The best tasting custom baked goods Ive ever had, honestly! Ive gone there for birthday cakes, sports team themed events and randomly pop in for my cupcake fix! I tell them exactly what I want and its always perfect.

Seeing the review comparing them to mr cupcake. no offense sounds like bitter competition. i come from new york to get these! Ive never been disappointed and they do sell samplers if choices are your thing. these are by far some of the best affordable cupcakes..and i tack on a toll to bring them home!

The originally baker where I ordered my daughters cupcakes from cancelled on me last minute the night before her birthday. I goolged bakerys in Plainfield 8am and Livay sweet shop answer the phone, so I told her my story and she had all the cupcakes I needed. Very kind women will definitely recommend the bakery.

Went to the Plainfield Shop today excited about the possibilities of a cupcake cake for my aunts graduation party this Sunday, willing to spend almost anything because I know I was looking for last minute service. Upon walking in the young lady working behind the counter greeted me warmly, then it all went down hill from there. She asked how she could help me, and I told her what I was looking for, she stated today was a baking day and suggested I check out the Facebook page or the website for choices and to place my order because she was too busy to stop and give me one on one service. She also added thay the shop was closed this weekend and couldnt take orders for Saturday and Sunday. I continued to talk with her about what I was looking for, willing to pick up on Friday, and stated that I had already been to the site. During our interaction her social cues and responses left me believing that she was entirely too busy for my business and after about 5 minutes of this interaction I decided I would take my business elsewhere for the one on one service every paying customer should expect. Upon leaving she wished me a sweet day.

It was ok cupcakes. A lot of people are saying these are the best cupcakes Im sorry I beg to differ. Flavors werent all there. There were only 6 different types of cupcakes to choose from which isnt much. Mr Cupcakes has more than 15 different types of yummy wonderful flavors. Also for $1 less. $2.50 for a cupcake thats way to pricey for something that didnt blow out tastebuds away. Stuffed Cupcakes in Nutley have twice the size with more fillings for the same price that is really good. I think this place needs to drop their prices of make a better recipe. I am willing to pay 5 bucks if its to die for.

I went to this cupcake shop with the highest of hopes but unfortunately the cupcakes were FREEZING COLD. I guess they keep them frozen overnight but that was an awful shock. Of course the woman who sold them to me knew they were this cold but I guess she was hoping I wouldnt notice until I got all the way home... Never going back.
