Mike is the best in the industry. Want to know the best upgrade or the reason for performance demons? His experience will make you a happy driver!
I would like to thank Mike and the guys for the tune it was cool to meet you man and your service was much needed thank u sir
These guys are the best. I removed the AFM (DOD delete) and the VVT in my 5.3 Yukon XL and added a mild cam. Mike was able to tune it in a mere few hours, at a much better price than other places.
Norris Motorsports did an outstanding job changing the exhaust system on my C7 Corvette. I had ordered a set of Borla pipes and after they were installed they noticed that it was not even across. Turned out Borla jig was incorrect. Norris Motorsports contacted Borla and had another set sent out. This set was also incorrect. Again, Norris Motorsports worked with the company to identify the issues and get another set sent. They ended up talking with David Borla and finally had a correct set sent and installed. This was over a six month period to finally get what I wanted and Mike Norris and his crew fought for me with Borla. I will be taking my next car to them and would recommend them to anyone that is looking to get work done on a high performance car and want it done with high quality!
So far, Its all good at Norris Motorsports
Had Mike take care of the valves and do a cam upgrade in my C6 zo6. Great work! Runs wonderful! Thanks!
Greg seems very nice and warmly conversational. My father-in-law chose to have him work on his classic car and offered him a trade in option that my father-in-law couldn’t resist. Instead of dumping in a bunch of money into his old 6-cylinder Mustang, he got a deal on a mint 1965 8-cylinder Mustang GT. My father-in-law has been in love since he got the car. They do great work!
Took my car to Mikes shop to do some dyno runs on my 1971 240z . His staff and facility made for a pleasant experience .
Awesome customer service! I will definitely be Back! After purchasing a multi owner c6, that I knew nothing about its prior history, I contacted Mike to do some tuning, and get an idea of where the car was, what was done and what wasnt, and I got exactly what I was after! Car is finally running as it should and as soon as its time for more upgrades it will be going back to Mike Norris Motorsports!
They did a fantastic job!!
Mikes a great and smart guy
Mike and his team were friendly and knowledgeable. He tuned my cam+headers car that came in running super lean and bucking at low speeds. He, Junior, and Drew showed me around and explained some slight differences between model years. Mike also let me know what to expect and weak areas for my next upgrades. My car runs great and I would gladly recommend Norris Motorsports to anyone.
Dropped off Camaro to get transmission fixed for a friends car, very friendly staff,
Staff very is very knowledgeable!Customer service was great, a bit hard to find but well worth it.
Multiple experiences with Mike, Bruce, Drew & Junior working on my cars. Everyone at this very busy shop has been polite, knowledgeable and professional.91 RS w/383 LS1 w/LSXRT intake. Another well known tuner had failed to make the car driveable after over a half dozen tuning attempts. Mike found three issues, like excessive timing, vacuum line issue and loose intake bolts. When Mike finished tuning the RS was far more drive able. Mike also made suggestions for better drive ability. I followed them and replaced the intake. Today the car drives like stock with Mikes tune and made its best horsepower and torque.99 TA - heads & cam, w/155,000 miles due for valve springs and buying 1 quart of oil every 500 miles. Mikes crew installed a new BTR Platinum valve spring package and replaced valve seals. Car noticeably ran better, easily reds to 6,500 rpm again without smoking. Oil consumption dropped to one quart per 2,500 miles which was astounding given how hard the engine has been beat on over the years.99 TA - build ERL 416 short block to long block, install heads, cam, intake headers etc & tune. Good communication, worked through me supplying wrong crank sensor and two other missing part issues in a calm professional manner. My car had to wait its turn for install and this did take a little while. Impatient car owners be assured the results are worth the wait.99 TA - repair ERL 416, after car was stolen and engine damaged by car thief mechanically over revving engine on missed shift. Mike & crew sorted through the damaged engine. and the 416 required two pistons, set of lifters, new cam, new rockers, new intake runners as they split, heads had to welded up and CNCd again, new valves & new springs, new oil pump, disassemble, clean and reassemble and install.I was in despair thinking it was basically a total loss and on the verge of having the old heads & cam LS1 reinstalled. Mike explained at each step what was needed and provided accurate estimates on the cost of repair. This was like peeling an onion because a new nasty surprise arrived at each step when additional damage was found. Photos of damaged parts were provided. Visited shop to see parts. Everyone at the shop was first rate and professional through this long process.Darin Morgan of Reher - Morrison was also outstanding in getting the heads welded up and CNCd in a timely manner. The 416 was repaired, exhaust issues fixed and shifter issue fixed. Motor had to be pulled and completely gone through. Engine was tuned again and dyno tuned. It was along grueling process but the car was completed and sorted out.2,000 miles and no issues other than replacing the alternator (bad diode/voltage regulator) at 1,500 miles.Ive had a lot of experience with Norris Motorsports and look forward to doing other problems with the help of Mike, Drew, Bruce, Junior and the rest of the crew. A++
In my opinion Mike Norris is a mediocre tuner at best. I have taken my Pro- Charged 02 Camaro to him for dyno tuning twice. I was not happy either time. He was given several opportunities correct issues ranging from dying at idle, as well as running rich. Both times he blamed the M.A.F.. The first time he had me purchase a Z06 unit.. The car still never ran right- it was rich, and died at idle. This was after follow up tweaking This is a summer car, so I lived with the issues for a couple summers. In summer 17 I took it back, as it seemed much worse.. Another $1000 or so later, he tells me the M.A.F. circuit is faulty. I instruct him to repair it at my expense. He was not able to do so. He instead installed a 2 bar M.A.P. sensor, tuned around it- deactivating the M.A.F. This is jury rigging garbage. The car is still not right- he had to raise the idle to keep it running, and the M.A.F. would yield superior results. He just litterally threw up his hands and said, its the best I can do.Even after this, because he is virtually the only game in town, I gave him another job this past summer of 17 just after the second botched Camaro tune... I had him do a basic program on my 04 LQ4 6.0 P.C.M. He asked for, and was given relevant info- 4x4, tire size, model/ year of receiving truck- a 99 Tahoe. Upon finishing my install there were some electrical issues. To rule out the P.C.M I took him another and asked him to flash it as well. I in no way blamed him, or the P.CM.- I just wanted a second one in case, and I told him as much...He was EXREMELY RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL.I asked politely- in no way demanding, if he could get it finished that day, or the next. Instead of simply saying it could not be done, he began shouting cuss words, and said, all you guys want everything now! I said, oookaay, Ill come back.. He then said, give me the f$^$@g thing. I reluctantly, because I did need it, did so.. He continued cussing, and slamming his stuff around like my 4 yr old does in a temper fit. I have never seen anyone act like this when in a business setting, dealing with a polite cutomer request- it blew my mind!... An hour after I left, an employee called and apologized on Mikes behalf... After picking it up the next day, I realized Mike had charged me $200 instead of the $150 he had for the first one a few weeks prior. I presumed it was because it was a rush request- BUT, he never sought approval for, or informed me of the additional fee.. I would have been totally fine with it had he done so- but just doing it was not cool. When I picked the first P.C.M. up, Mike told me to return with the truck running for tweaking. I called in Dec 17 because Mike failed to correctly program the pulse width for my 99 fuel guage, and also failed to program my tach signal correctly. I was told by an employee each of the 3 times I called that Mike would call me in a day or so, and set an appt. for Jan, as they were booked. After the 3rd no return call, and it now being almost the end of Jan 18, I give up.I am purchasing HP Tuners- I cant do worse than Mike Norris...
They know what theyre doing
Awesome engine tuner.
I was worked me into his very busy schedule he got me fixed up and tuned. Thanks Mike
