One of the best experiences Ive ever had! Customer Service was top notch! This was my first time ever having to buy a garter so I was clueless. The staff made the process so simple and literally walked with me aisle by aisle throughout the store to handpick each item. The garter was beautiful and my son absolutely loved it. I will tell everyone to go to The Mum Shop! Thank you so much!

My daughter was very disappointed. It is my daughters Senior year & I wanted it to be special so I thought I would splurge and order a mum instead of crafting one at home. Though the mum was pretty, it was not what I ordered. I placed the order online and made a special request in the comments/request box that we wanted the ribbons to be 24 instead of 36. Which I know they can do because they also make the guys garter. The garters are much shorter that the girls mums. When I brought the concern to the salespersons attention, she told me that the order did indeed show the special request but they could not change it now & that I could just take it home and cut the bottom of the ribbons off. That is not possible because it would cut off the lettering on the ribbons. That was the only resolution they gave me . I did not pay $127 for something I have to take home make alterations myself. I would have like to have been offered to have them correct the ribbon length by removing the back, shorting the ribbons from the top and re-applying the back cover or replacing the whole mum with 24 ribbons. But instead I am S.O.L. and left with only writing this review to inform everyone that you dont always get what you pay for. Especially from The Mum Shop in Plano. I do not recommend.

Always the place to go for homecoming mum supplies. I have been a customer for school and wedding related crafting for almost 20 years. Look what I made for the same price as a plain single mum if ordered from the school.

Gorgeous senior mum ordered online but needed late notice name addition to reflect a her last minute date to the dance. Not a problem for these professionals! They also created an absolutely amazing, extremely last minute (ordered online at 1pm, picked up at 4pm) rush order garter for 2021 Sachse High School Homecoming! Thank you Mum Shop!

I cant say enough good things about this place. We went in 6 days before her homecoming and they had it ready the Wednesday before! The mum turned out amazing and exactly as we pictured it and more. The customer service there is unmatched! We went in on a busy Saturday to place our order and someone walked us through the order form and helped us decide what we wanted. (first timers since I always made my own in H.S. and never knew what half the stuff was called lol). The man at the register also assisted in making sure they got the order just right! On the day of pickup we purchased a kit to make our own garter for her date and again they were awesome at helping make sure we got exactly what we wanted/needed. We decided to have them do a letter ribbon for their names and they made it on the spot and even added a little something extra! If youre busy or just want to support your school that is partnered with them please please come here and get your mum. Whether you order it or make it yourself it will be amazing! We will definitely be back next year!

Great selection! So many different colors, ribbons, options, etc. You can make your own or order one of theirs. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Be ready to get carried away lol.

Its my 10 year old sons homecoming. The ladys were absolutely amazing and helped me put together the perfect garter for his game.

This was me and my moms first time making a mum and Im so happy with it! We were really disappointed by hobby lobby but then we found this place and were blown away. Everything we could have possibly needed was right there for a reasonable price. The variety in ribbons and charms made us so happy! I like how they have the finshed custom orders visible from inside the store because I was able to get some last minute inspiration, thanks so much!

Very slow service for customers who have not already pre-ordered Mums. Pretty good selection of items. Need to be better staffed during peak of season as customers who need help are pretty much ignored.

My daughter needed a replacement Mum for the HoCo game. They helped me design it (pick the right colors) and they put it together as I waited.The team is amazing and they work so fast.Being from up North, they made this experience seamless and something l looked forward to doing again.I hope there is someone paying attention to this that can help them redesign their website. BE WARNED - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACEWe were recommended to go here, and boy were we duped. Our daughter was told to quarantine due to contact tracing, and she will miss the HOCO game. We let the shop know, and asked for a refund. We were aware of the no refund policy, but due to the whole unforeseen 2020 mess, one would think policy was a little more flexible, especially since just about EVERY business has adapted (hotels, airlines, wedding facilities, etc.). You name it - and the company has adjusted to accommodate the consumer. Not this place. My wife reached out via email yesterday as soon as we found out about quarantine, and here was the response:I am sorry your order is already complete. We can attempt to sell it to someone else or you could still give it to her as a memento. If we sell it, we discount it by 30%. Great prices! Sooo many trinkets to choose from. I had a blast picking out tons of trinkets. They do offer fabulous mums to pre order from at reasonable prices. A crafty gal like myself went the DIY route. Love it!

Just picked garter up we ordered and highly disappointed! They offered 1 style garter for her school online, and when I got to the store to see they definitely had different garters I was highly upset . I will have to have this taken apart and redone with way more added this was definitely NOT worth what I paid . This is a joke I would be embarrassed for her to give this to her date . The mum on it looks like a pee wee football player would wear . If I have one made next year I will go in and make it a custom order . When I went to the store 2 weeks ago it was chaos and was never even acknowledged, but it was very busy and they seemed understaffed.

My kiddo wanted to build a garter for homecoming, so I was a bit hesitant to go to the store because I would have preferred to order it. I had a list of everything that we wanted for the garter that we printed from the website, but I was still overwhelmed when I walked in. Someone immediately asked me if I needed help. They took my list and helped me get everything I needed in a matter of 10 minutes. She even had the ribbon with the names ordered and ready to go before I left. Thanks for making this process so easy. Great customer service!

Melissa, Malissa & Megan are wonderful ladies who worked hard to make an amazing mum while staying in our price range! They made the potentially tedious process of going through & picking out the items in our package fun!! After just having a very long day of training & a terrible drive through rain & bad traffic up 75 from Dallas, I ended up leaving the store in a wonderful mood, smiling & laughing w/ my son! I dont think Ive ever had so much fun spending my money on something that will only be worn 1 day then hung on a wall. It was worth every dollar!

We havent received the mum yet, but looking forward to it when we do.I wanted to write the review on the amazing customer service that I received. I was at the store at a pretty busy time, and a lady named Cathy helped me. She was amazing. She was with me over an hour helping me with an order. My son and date had previously bought the mum stuff thinking that I wanted to make it. Well, I am not crafty, so I came back up to the store for some help. Cathy went through everything that I had already bought and redid the order. She showed me some new things that they had received to help the mum look even better. I cant thank her enough for helping me, and I cant wait to see all of our creation! Thanks Cathy.

Two words - absolutely amazing. The fact that you can order a mum last minute on Tuesday the week of Homecoming and have it guaranteed to be ready by Thursday the same week is unimaginable. I just knew I would be staying up all night to make a last minute mum when The Mum Shop saved the day.  The online ordering process is so easy, though I understand how it can be overwhelming to some. Sit down and take your time! There are examples and tips to help you along the way.  You can also check the website to find out when your mum or garter is ready by using the order number and then pick up is hassle free.  The quality and craftsmanship is unmatched.  I remember getting my mum and garter for my senior homecoming here and now Im excited to be able to get my kids here as well!

Best mums around! The quality is great. However, the staff is rude. I have been in twice in the past week and have had rude experiences with the cashiers and witnessed other rudeness to customers. On my first visit I asked the cashier if I had the correct size flowers for my triple mum. She told me one of them was wrong and swapped it out. I was looking at all of the different sizes of mums and asked again if I had selected the right size for the triple mum. She responded without looking at me yes, but if it makes you feel better, here I will give you back the one that you had picked out. I was not trying to question the mum that she had pulled out, but only trying to make sure that all three of my mums were the correct size for the triple. I live an hour away from this store and did not want to get home with the wrong flowers. I made the trip in because I shopped here in high school when they were in Richardson and I want my sons date to have the best. The next time I came in the cashier (different girl) again was rude when I was asking questions about what I was purchasing. I told her I needed a backer for my mum. She calculated my bill without the 25 cent backer. When I pointed out that I still needed the back, she got frustrated with me and said, well, Im going to have to do it all over again. I have also witnessed people saying that they arent from TX and dont understand the mum thing asking questions of staff who respond to all questions like these customers should just know. If you have never made a mum before and dont really understand the tradition it is overwhelming. I really get the impression that these people hate their jobs. I understand mum season is busy, but this store wold be so much better if all of the ladies were nice and helpful. The mum shop is the original and the best, but once you are the best, that doesnt mean that you forget about treating customers right. I really hope that this review prompts the bosses to have a conversation with their staff. I would love to keep coming here, but not if the staff stays this way.

Today we had our first mum experience. This is where you should go! They were very helpful. And the finished products were gorgeous! We let them know we were on a budget and we were able to design a beautiful mum for our daughter.Also the ladies there are very nice and a joy to work with!

I came with my son to send a mum out of state. They were so helpful and quick with the order. It turned out beautiful!!! And the young lady that got had tears of joy!!! 💕

They screwed up the colors of our mum then charged us to fix it. When they fixed it they rushed, so it was poorly done and they got glue all over the rest off the mum. They also left out much needed accessories for the garder we paid for so well have to go back and likely we will be charged more. I had better expectations given the reviews but this place really let us down. Not returning.

We saw a picture of our finished mum via a friend that was at the store, I was concerned to see Becoming on the double loop ribbon instead of Homecoming so I contacted them right away (3 days before it was scheduled for pick up) and was assured it would be corrected. However today it was delivered to the school with the wrong wording still on it! It was also missing a spirit flag. While the rest of the school says Homecoming ours was made with Becoming. So disappointed! Spent over $100 on it and ordered it weeks ago, only to have to scramble around to get it fixed, and pay more $$ the night before Homecoming! Store offered an $11 credit and told me they were surprised as no one had Becomings this year and to their knowledge they didnt make any this year. They made at least one! Sent pics as proof, I think we shouldve gotten back more than $11!

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE MUM SHOP AS POSSIBLE!!!!!! THE OWNER AND EMPLOYEES OF THIS BUSINESS ARE THE RUDEST THAT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR IF YOUR MUM IS DONE INCORRECTLY. THE OWNER OFFERED US A 20% REFUND FOR THE TIME SPENT GOING BACK TO HAVE IT REDONE, AND WHEN MY 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WENT BACK TO GET HER MUM, THE OWNER WOULD NOT GIVE HER A DISCOUNT AND PROCEEDED TO FUSS AT HER AND CALL HER A LIAR. I SPOKE TO 3 DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES AND ALL WERE EXTREMELY RUDE. I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW BEFORE, EVER, BUT I FEEL STRONGLY ENOUGH ABOUT THE FACT THAT MULTIPLE EMPLOYEES AND THE OWNER WOULD BE SO RUDE TO MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER WHO SPENT $130 FOR A MUM FOR HER HOMECOMING. THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN, BUT THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE TO TREAT PEOPLE BADLY. Very rude!!! I’ve never been to a customer service establishment with the workers so disrespectful. They argue, roll their eyes, and are very dishonest. And make sure you check your order at the store! They WILL screw you over! In the process of trying to fix my garter I got because I KNOW I’m missing stuff on it.

We ordered our garter weeks ago and we never got an email saying it was ready so when I called to see if it was ready 2 days ago she told me they sent me an email and when I said I did not recieve one she said “Well we sent you one so it is not a problem on our end. Make sure to check your junk mail and bring your order form when you come”. Her tone was very rude. We went to pick up the garter and we were very disappointed with the fact that we paid $60 for the garter and it was very plain. We decided to add more to the garter and when we asked for help she seemed very bothered with helping us and she got annoyed every time we asked for something else. We wanted to add so much more but she seemed very bothered so we stopped. All she added was 2 boas, a few bells, and a bear head and charged us almost $40! She was very unhelpful and rude. We went to Mums R Us in Allen and they completely rearranged and added so many things to the garter and only charged us a fraction and not only that they were so nice !

I am only giving this place one star because you have to select a star in order to post. I had a friend tell me to try this place, I drove all the way from Aubrey over to this place only to be treated rudely! Me being new in Texas I was trying to ask about the whole mum thing, what do you do etc, one of the ladies was extremely rude to me and even tried to argue with me about the homecoming dance date in front of the whole store. I did not purchase anything and walked out shortly after I will not give my money to these folks they are extremely rude!!!!

I would go here to get stuff for a mum but I wouldn’t have them make a mum because they made my mum for senior year and they Head most of the ribbons And overall wasn’t that good.

I am disappointed in the customer service that was provided to me upon the pick up of my product. I called the night before to ensure that my daughters mum was ready. When I called again the next day to inform them that I was on my way. The associate asked for the information. I gave her all of the details. She explains that they could not find it. I let her know that we called the night before and were told that it was ready. Her tone was clearly frustrated after 3 attempts. I asked if she was ok and that maybe someone that worked last night would know where the product was. She replied with Im just fine. Im good are you Ok? She puts me on hold for the 4th time. She says oh, its here at the front desk already. When I arrive to the store. Guess who greets me? The rude phone lady. She asked for my form. I said I dont have...she interrups me midsentence and says that they cant help me without my form. I replied, I would like to speak to someone with better customer service. Why couldnt she just walk away since I was in line waiting on another associate? That would be too much like right, she replies, I am nice. I am very nice. She continues to talk. At this point others are looking at her in dismay but that doesnt stop her rant. I finally say, maam please leave me alone. While the cashier was fantastic, the amount of interaction that one has to go through with the mean lady takes away from the experience of the shop.
