I found AHW gun store and gunsmith by chance and decided to visit the store, what a pleasant surprise, an authentic owner operated store and gunsmith shop, I met Rafael and Miles asked a few questions and they kindly cleared my doubts very professional and friendly and more important very knowledgeable, a big contrast to many other stores I have visited. Rafael ended up doing some work on one of my handguns, was quick and very well done and reasonably priced, I am very happy with the result. AHW became my go to store and I highly recommend Rafael and Miles to anyone in need for their services.

Ralph and son were literally on point and just professional as can be. I visited their store last Sunday; and although a smaller store, Ralph welcomed me without the macho alpha male tone. I originally ordered a Daniel Defense V11 Pro; and there were no complications, no excess jargon, just STRAIGHT forward salesmen-ship without the pressure to buy this and buy that. The pick-up was easy, however I did have some questions to clarify my knowledge, or lack there of, regarding M-LOK and Key-Mod. Again Ralph provided clear feedback with examples from his personal AR. This place has a family owned feel. They made me feel very comfortable and were happy to educate/update/remind me on a few things. It’s a small shop but they had access to everything I wanted. Being CC licensed, I was in and out pretty fast for purchase and gun cleaning/service. Polite service, comfortable atmosphere. They even had a movie on their big screen to pass the time but short wait. Highly recommend.

Let me start off by saying the customs service in this store is outstanding. They really go above and beyond to have a satisfied customer. Took the concealed carry class with them and I must say Janice knows what she is talking about and best of all l, she keeps the class engaged and entertained. I bought my 1st gun here and didnt know what to get. They suggested the canik tp9 elite sc and what a gun. Shoots great. Great trigger. 12 and 15 rd mag with optics option which I wish I would got cause price is way up. Also got 32 rd mag which is bad af!

The gun smith there was very rude and has no time for anyone. Even the employees are afraid to ask him. They all have attitudes especially the girl Cat. So I took it to AHW and I got to say hands down the best and friendliest gun smith. Fixed my issue right away while I was there. I definitely will be going here from now on out. I visited American Handheld Weaponry looking for a simple replacement part for my AR-15 and within minutes the staff was able to help me where other local shops couldnt or wouldnt. The staff is beyond friendly, the service is beyond exceptional, and despite the smaller size of the shop, the selection of products is quite extensive. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed. Great gun store and gun smith location. You can regularly interact and speak with the owners anytime you walk in. Great customer service both over the phone and in person. This is my 1st experience with AHW and I must say... so far so good. I havent given them 5 stars (yet) based on the fact that I just took my firearm to get a new trigger put in and new sights added. As soon as I receive it back I will update with service and prices shortly as well as a new star ratingUpdate: I dropped off my handgun to get an upgraded trigger and new sights put on. I spoke with Miles (hope I spelled that correctly) and was informed that he should have it ready in 24 hours (my firearm was ready in less than 24 hours). Me being a newbie I had several questions and Miles was very patient and knowledgeable. He never tried to sell me anything, Miles just gave great advice and suggestions. The service was great, the trigger was amazing (felt better than my friends who has the same) and the sights spot on as I wanted. Very professional quality of work. The prices were the best I could find in my area as well as online. Honestly, for the quality of work that was done I wouldnt have minded a paying a little more. Glad to see there is still places like this out there. AHW is family run with a passion and enjoyment for what they do. Highly recommended.

I needed a new barrel installed on my S&W MP15, and went in on a Sunday to see about getting it done. Had a very positive experience with the folks at AHW. I was looking for a local FLL for transfer (newbie at FFL transfers from out of state) and Raphael told me what was required and was helpful over the phone. I came in and filled out the required paperwork. A couple of days later I found a few more things I wanted to add and called back and Miles was super helpful and advised we were good to go since I was pending my other items. The other out of state shop did not have AHWs FFL information and requested it. I emailed AHW and they sent it over in less than a business day. I cant say enough with how well these folks handled themselves. Awesome level of attentiveness, they also do gunsmithing!

Awesome place. Just had my second encounter and it paralleled the first. Fair pricing, prompt service and turnaround, and they go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied and they explain what steps they took to correct your problem and why the problem arose. I am close to deaf and they take the time to work with me. These are good guys (I have only dealt with Ralph and Myles). I only found one good gunsmith prior to them and he left the state. But these guys beat him by a mile. Good family business.

AHW is amazing! For 15 years and 3 different gunsmiths in 3 different states I have been trying to fix an ejector blade on a Winchester trapper lever action mod94 cal.357 and nobody could find or make the part.I was reluctant to see if AHW could do it but Miles did it in a week!Thank you!

Out of all the custom riffles i own, this is the best custom riffle i have had made. Great customer service, wonderful owners Rafael and Janice Matos, what a great experience. I took in my m16 comando 11.5 barreled upper to Rafael with cycling issues. Weapon running slow/ sluggish. Im thinking this is going to furt.Rafael took one at the bolt and immediately notice the gas key was a little loose. He tightening the screws and re-staked them. He said, You are done Told me to take it to the range and to call him later with an update. Well, I couldnt get to the range fast enough to see if it was true. I dumped 4 mags through it in full auto. Ran like a champ, freaken awesome !!Oh, the total cost for the repair, ZERO ! He said to just to write a review about my experience at American Handhelp Weaponry .Rafael,You are a good guy and your my gunsmith from now on !! I went there a couple months ago to purchase my first gun, customer service experience was amazing. Happy I made the choice to go to American Handheld Weaponry!!!

I had been hesitant about being a gun owner for a while. When I decided to do so, I asked a friend for some reference to make my purchase. It was then when he referred me to American Handheld Weaponry to see Janice and Ralph. After a 44-mile drive, I arrived to the store and they took care of me. Not only did they showed me which gun was best for me to start with, but also they gave me confidence and taught me how to handle one. At first, I bought a Walther CCP; a couple of weeks later, when I had already taken my firearms course, I came in for my second gun: a Glock 43 4Gen. They ordered right away and I took my husband with me who then got a Beretta Storm. On his first giveaway, I won a Glock 19 custom that Im in love with; and today Im owner of my second Glock 43 :)As you can see, I always go to the same place and drive 88 miles round trip. The difference is that now Im not hesitant, because they have become family. Their knowledge, inventory, prices and exceptional customer service make you want to go every day.So, whenever you want to purchase ANY weapon, and be certain youre making the correct decision, I recommend American Hangeld Weaponry 200%.
