Nice location that was well stocked, but there were a lot of stock pallets in the way around the store making it hard to access some items or shelves

Target is one of my favorite stores until the head manager got fired, the store went to hell. I hardly see any associate in each department fixing the mess thats scattered everywhere.... The departments look like they have not been zoned, end caps have random items shoved by the “price check” shelf, and that’s how fragile objects get broken, every department you go in is trashed with random piles of mess! Too much product is left out on the pallet, full of boxes which sit for a days. I’ve seen the desk associates stand around and gossip and rather the stocking the dollar section that has a cart full of boxes that sit there and never get touched. Less talking and more working? If I worked there myself I would have an up keep of having the isles swept and organized.. Some of the staff is courteous and helpful. I know some the associates try to keep up with the store and may be understaffed ? I’ve also had a item that I purchased as a seasonal and wanted to return it or exchange it for something else which would be fine, however it had to be select items, which is disappointing bc the store would still be able to keep its money even if it didn’t have to relate to the item vs he amount I could exchange it for another item. Also when it comes to the clothing and shoe department on the weekends it looks like a mess clothing hanging off of hangers or on the ground and shoes in the middle of the isles ....

One of the reasons I frequent Target over WalMart or other chain stores is the care they typically take in stocking/organizing/displaying their stock. I went to this Target while visiting from out of town (against the advice of my mother who said it was a wreck) and walked in on a Saturday afternoon to see this. Upon walking in there were shopping carts blocking the front door, there was trash all over the ground and every aisle I went down looked just like these pictures. What amazed me most was that there were staff EVERYWHERE, and yet the shelves were in complete disarray. I watched two employees step OVER hangars lying on the floor, and another girl in uniform who looked like she was shopping drop a garment on the floor and simply walked away from it. Is this the Twilight Zone? I was so stunned I followed her down the aisle to double check that she had a Target name tag.Whoever is managing this location should be absolutely ashamed, I was so frustrated with the disorganization that I gave up and decided to wait until I got back home to Georgia to visit our location instead.This brand of chaos is to be expected during holidays, Black Friday and the like, but on a casual, random July afternoon? Unacceptable.The staff were friendly enough, the lady at the changing rooms was helpful, and the girls working the Starbucks counter were prompt and the coffee was delicious, but thats about the positivity I can muster about this place.Plattsburgh deserves better. I was warned about this store, it has a bad reputation, and the only reason it is still in business now is because its the only one in town. Pathetic.

I came here from Montreal for some fun US food and home items. Just 1 hour from downtown, this target is huge and has lots of products. Not a lot of other stores around it though.

I havent had to bad of an experience EXPECT for my very last one! My husband an I purchased a video game for 60 dollars. When we got home we realized it unfortunately was for a ps5 not ps4. In between buying new at target in playtsburgh an traveling to our home in chazy the outside plastic had a tar. When I called to ask how to either return,refund,or swap the woman said it was there policy to inform me there was nothing they could do for me except tell me to sell it on fb. Ive never been so dugusted with a company in my life I will never shop threw target again !

In app order provides Convenience and speed. Easy to order, called 5 mins before I arrived and the gentleman was waiting at the curb with my order. Placed it right in my passenger side window.. Great service. I will be doing much more of my shopping this way in the future.

I am always in target for the pharmacy but can always find something to buy when I am there.

We usually place an order on the Target App and pick up via the drive-up option, and the staff is always friendly and timely. The inside of the store is sometimes a little rough: dirty and crowded.

Easy to find what Im looking for and the place is kept fairly tidy

While theres a good amount of selection the cut backs to the overnight work force are apparent. The holiday season left the back row of geeky goodies and the movie area basically blocked off. Theres also plenty of merchandise and garbage that customers leave all over the store in random places that take days to be cleaned up. The workers are doing their best but the corporation needs to do better to help them and the public out.

I have never experienced a problem with any Target stores until coming to this one. First time I’ve ever used customer service to return something and the manager “Cass” was a terrible customer service member! She acted as if me and my boyfriend were scheming to return 30$ headphones! We had purchased them, not realizing the box had been opened before hand (it is easily taken apart and put back together, so the headphones were missing the serial number. maybe returned previously?). When trying to return them, the manager talked down on us and refused to give us a refund, or try to mediate the situation. I cant help but feel it is because we are college students, younger than her, and felt she could talk down to use because of our age. Totally dismissive and very rude. Honestly never coming back to this target because of this interaction.We later called the corporate member services number, where a representative agreed that the manager was being irrational by doing so, and the way she handled the situation was rude and unprofessional. He wrote up a report on the manager for her actions and awarded us a gift card to replace the money lost as a result of the stores careless actions.

A store that could plainly be described as mediocre.

Used to be a real nice store. Now it is a wreck most of the time. Nothing in clothing for older men and women. Plus dept is a joke, nothing. Quality of clothing has gone down. Bathrooms are filthy. Need a good scrubbing with bleach and a brush. Toilets all full today. A pair of sunglasses in the womens toilet. Filthy sinks and drains. Manager is a dingbat. Target needs to step it up. Kohls is coming to the mall!

Theres a good selection of items. But many of the staff were unprofessional. Some nasty customers also. Very nosy. Be very careful of your surroundings when going here.

Im from Montreal. And ever since all the Targets closed down in Canada..This is the nearest Target I can go to.. Its very spacious and you can find good deals.I only come to this Target during the summer- autumn season.

Friendly yet safe service during the pandemic

The Target closest to my home has been on a steep decline as of late. It is hard to get through any of the aisles because they are so filled with boxes of merchandise that need to be shelved. Employees are always stocking shelves when I am trying to shop, and the Christmas section was erected weeks after other Target stores. I was recently at another Target location and could not believe the difference between locations. I generally love shopping at Target but lately I find myself choosing to go to Walmart instead. The employees at my store are very kind, friendly, and helpful but the store itself is a true mess.

There isnt a Target in VT, so this is our one stop destination for everything! We love the selections, designs and prices.The home decor and school supplies are my favorite and thw baby and infant selection is awesome!

Have gone into this store 1-2 times a week for a few months. In that time I have watched this store decline. I will no longer shop at this location. Shelves are bare, same stock still sitting on pallets for days on end. Garbage strewn about,clothes on the floor and shelves. I saw some dairy products left on a shelf for almost 2 weeks. I have gone so far as to use a laundry basket that was left in row and filled it with items left on the shelves from other departments. Who is in charge, obviously they do not have the stones to hold people accountable.

This Target is always great. Definitely my go-to for general items (shampoo, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc.). Everyone is always happy to help and knowledgeable about the products.

My photography takes me all over the northeast. This is easily one of the worst photo centers I have been to, the employees seem to try to avoid doing their job well and Ive actually seen them break their own equipnent. What a waste.

I was so happy when this store first opened..so organized..racks of 1-2$ merchandise in front. It was a step up from walmart but still discount. The store has completely changed. Everything is overpriced, sales are not even worthwhile. Orders arent put away...carts of merchandise not on shelves yet...the shelves themselves have empty and mismatched items on them. Food selection horrible. My advice would be to get rid of any perishable food items as it seems there isnt enough staff to put away regular inventory...target doesnt need to be a grocery store too. The two stars are for the employees/ cashiers..the ones I have encountered maintain great attitude. But target needs more people on floor..putting away inventory DESPERATELY!

I had an extremely bad experience there today. 5 people at the guest services counter when I walked up and no one in line. Not one person greeted me or acknowledged that I was standing there. I had to ask if there was anyone who could help me after waiting a considerable amount of time for acknowledgement. Then when I asked for help with my red card because I had left it at home, all 5 sales people including the LOA or Leader on the shift, Eve, were confrontational and rude even accusing me of lying. I was horrified! I had to walk away because he was out right rude and attempting to continue degrading me despite my request to stop the conversation. Unacceptable behavior especially during the holidys when people are supposed to be mindful of being kind. So sad.

There is always a good reason to visit Target. They have a lot of everything and my favorite time of the year is back to school season. I must sift through their selection and find myself new supplies for the home and for work. Their location is quite ideal for a bathroom break.

Staff was wonderful, but the store was a disappointment, drove and hour to shop at the store only to find the shelves very empty and it was dirty and in disarray. I asked why the shelves were so empty and was told they are just behind and dont have enough help. Really a shame....

I love Target, but recently they have fewer and fewer checkouts open. Today it was very busy there and only 2 checkouts were open, forcing everyone to the self checkouts. 2 of the 4 had people with problems needing an associate to help. The line snaked down the aisle while everyone waited to purchase their items.

They did not get the right items for me and then told ME to go get them off the shelf to exchange them!

This used to be a very nice store. I always prefer Target over other big box stores. The last 6 months (at least) this store has gone down hill. Theres stuff EVERYWHERE! Imagine if a target store blew up, thats what this store looks like daily. Im to the point where I dont want to go there at all because its just so messy and disorganized. I actually spent 15 minutes one night and zoned an aisle because it was bothering me so much.I love target, but this store needs better management or the store needs to close. Its just that terrible.

Plattsburgh Target has worked really hard to keep their store stocked and cleaned. They have some great employees working for them, professional and friendly!

The store is ALWAYS a mess! Shelves are usually only half stocked. And when asking for help from employees Ive even received eye-rolls!

If I could give lower stars I would! Shelves not stocked, messy, couldnt make heads or tails of prices. Staff laughing and joking and not dressed in uniform. Slow cashiers. Service counter woman passed me off to another associate, she looked stressed but nothing was going on. The bathrooms were taped off with no other signage as to why. This was at 11 AM on a Tuesday in February. No specials. No holidays. It was a grotesque shopping experience. Tried on clothes in the changing room, no attendant present, two girls looked like they were just hanging out inia corner onothe carpet chatting about their pets. Drove over to Walmart to do my groceries. Night and day. The worst is that I heard a woman training someone new, saying that they run a tight ship as she pointed to a cash register shelf that looked like a bomb had blown up on it. Someone get the manager out of their dream world and into reality.

Great department store where you can find variety; Target has certain brands and items you cannot find at Wal-Mart! Specifically the beauty and organic sections!!! Only downfall is Target is significantly pricey !

I love Target! I have been to many Targets in many states and the one in Plattsburgh is by far the dirtiest and unorganized! They should really look at making some changes!

I ordered a gift for my children for Valentines Day. It was to be delivered on the 12th. Turns out UPS returned the package to target. Now Target wants me to reorder, pay again and wait for a credit from the original order. Why cant they pull the gift off the shelves and put it aside for my kids using my original order rather than put me through the process again? Why am being inconvenienced? Target should step up and make this right.

This store was great when it first opened, now it is incredibly unorganized, and not fully stocked. It is not unccommon to not be able to get down aisles because freight is piled up in the way.

Groceries, clothes, kitchenware, electronics, etc. While not as much to choose from as another big store in the area, it is easier to shop here and have had better customer service here. I typically enjoy the experience of shopping at Target.

Went looking for a dress for a school dance. Wow not alot to pick from now days. Whats happened to dresses for younger generation. Yeah jeans are cool but sometimes they need a dress and not pay a fortune for it. Anyhow Targedt didnt have much in the line of dresses for our need. All though I found some very good buys in the means of groceries. Saved me a trip to the grocery store. The checkout was quick and the lady was friendly greeting myself & grand daughter with a smile.thats why they got a 4.

WORST EVER! ordered my daughter an Apple IPod Touch 5 & paid for premium shipping (arrive in 2days) to have the item NEVER be delivered. I have spent 5hours on the phone trying to locate item and track through UPS & Target Online system only to discover item has NEVER been shipped. However, I cant get my money back until I wait 7-21 days for the research department to research what they have already told me & that is that item was never sent. So my daughter got NOTHING for her 10th birthday because I dont have $500 to spend on gifts and the one I paid $260 for has never shown up! Thanks Target, you have officially made my WOREST SERVICE EVER & I will NEVER shop there again!
