As I walked through the pristine glass doors I was treated by a small man. Very small who ushered me into the dining room and said “I will be right with you” and I turned to say take you time he had vanished. As I went to my seat I was thinking about what bagel I wanted and decided on the “New Yorker.” To my surprise the bagel was laid out perfectly on the table with a note that said “just as you wished.”

This place has such a good vibe, I went for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was great and the begal I had was just the way I like it! I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast on a lazy weekend or a quick pick up before work. I will be back to sit and read my book very soon

When I moved to the North Country, I moved almost across the street from this restaurant. And Ive been eating breakfast there ever since. Sandwiches are to die for. My favorite bacon and cream cheese on a bagel. To die for. Service is always good. Friendly and a comfortable environment to be in. Ashley one of the owners young, for and very professional. U must stop here if in Plattsburgh!!

Always glad to find you here when I am. Breakfast sandwiches made to order on real bagels. Just a bit sorry no espresso machine now. Extras: No steps, handicapped bathroom but best approach may be to back into access hall, street parking (free).

Ashley is a great host and owner. She works hard and her staff follows her lead. They put out a quality product at a decent and affordable price. The ambiance is great lots of good music playing, good people gathering and just a good overall vibe and environment. No place is without its hiccups but they keep it to a minimum and it gets fixed quickly.

The bagel pit is one of my favorite places to eat in Plattsburgh. There food is great, super friendly and very helpful but if I go in there one more time and order a steak egg and cheese and they put onions on my bagel I’m going to lose my mind. I’ve now repetitively asked them to not put onions on my bagel and for the 5th time in a row they have. It has blown my mind that every. Single. Time. I ask them for no onions I some how get an increased amount of onions on my bagel and have to pry them out of my steak and it becomes an absolute mess. I am only rating this poorly due to the fact that Yet again a Surprising large amount of onions were put on my bagel again. Please end this madness and stop putting onions on my bagel.

Good food. Slightly slower service than a fast food restaurant but definitely far faster than conventional restaurants, so if youre looking for a quick eat but if you are not in a rush this is a good location to grab breakfast.

This place is complete trash. I used to love coming here, and even though every once in a while it took a while to get our food, the food was good. But today my boyfriend and I called a pick-up order - on the phone they said it will be ready in 10-15 minutes. We arrived in 5 minutes, paid, and was told it will be another two to five minutes. We waited there for 30 minutes. During those 30 minutes, the place cleared out, no more orders were being made, and the woman who took our order and our money made herself a sandwich and sat in the restaurant on her lunch break. We asked if our order was almost ready and they claimed that they didnt know we were there and didnt bother to check and see why their customers were attentively sitting there for a half hour, especially the woman who took our order. When we got home, our order was cold and soggy because it was just sitting in the back for close to 40 minutes. When we brought it back and asked for fresh sandwiches, we were told that the sandwiches arent going to be made any fresher than what they are now. They said they forgot about the order and the only thing they were willing to do was give us a refund. No apology. No offer for new sandwiches. The woman who took our order and neglected it to go on her lunch break showed no sympathy. The customer service was terrible. Yeah, we got our money back, but our experience was awful. This place has good food but terrible customer service and incompetent employees who dont understand business. We used to come here all the time but this place just lost two loyal customers.

I love going to the Bagel Pit. I dont mind waiting a while for service, but when I get to the counter to order I expect a little hospitality. The person taking my order had a rude attitude to not only myself, but also tossing customers orders in front of them when it took longer than 3 seconds for them to get up and grab it themselves. I understand a busy day causes stress, but if you work with the public you have to learn to set it aside and put your best foot forward. The food is always great, but the service today was disappointing.

Not happy. The last time I went there was ridiculous. I can only hope these 2 girls will be reprimanded. They made the food with NO gloves, and the dark-haired girl literally patted all the bagels laid out to be prepared. Why?? That was the final straw and we asked for our money back and left. The other girl preparing food seemed like she was high and I saw her go, Oh yeah. Were supposed to wear gloves, arent we? laughing like it was funny. The male working is the one that reminded her. All 3 were being really silly, which I get and I like because its a private, small bagel shop. Have fun. But not at the expense of the food and service. It was shocking. The small dark-haired girl working the register was polite and apologized. Proper food handling is not too much to ask. It was absolutely ridiculous how blatent they were. With both uncooked AND wrapping the finished product. Unbelievable. Im going to miss those bagels. I know Im only 1 person, big deal what I think, but with service like that, more people are bound to stop eating there.

The New Yorker is a favorite of mine, on an everything bagel. Everything is super good though, and quick and affordable. Great tunes too.

I noticed the kitchen staff not using gloves .... I gave them a second chance (after confronting the owner) & discovered that even the owner had cut holes in the fingers while prepping food. Gross. Dunkin might not be local but at least you know theyre respecting health code.

“It’s the pits”. Ordered a few of the most basic menu items and the regular bagels were mediocre, gluten free tasted store bought. Eggs were totally over-cooked and tasted like a dirty grill. Coffee was just “eh”. Bathroom had no soap, floors under the tables were absolutely filthy. Would give no stars but the associates working there were nice so felt obligated to give one. Unless they make some changes I would never eat there again and regretted not going to Panera up the road. Hopefully this review will be taken as constructive criticism for the owner and they do something ASAP about the quality of food and cleanliness because I would rather support local business than go to a chain eatery. I look forward to trying it again in the future and hope to change my opinion on the Bagel Pit.

Fast service. Great food. Had my usual, the Baxter. Only thing that needs improvement is the HEAT. It is 19F outside. Doesnt feel like HEAT is on inside. Had to leave my coat on to eat.

Good bagels and creative cream cheese flavors. Busy and full of college students and families on weekends. Can call to order ahead of youre in a hurry on a weekend morning when the line can be long.

I work in the service industry so this isnt fun for me to write a less than stellar review, but this is the third time in a row that my order has not been correct/complete. It seems that the days that my orders are correct, the casier is rude, or there is always something that makes me wonder if Ill be returning back. Ill try again to order in the future and change my review to a higher mark if all goes well next time, I know the staff is working hard and is very busy on some days, but please maybe check orders before handing them to to-go (or in house) customers...

Seems more aimed to the college crowd (somewhat messy, loudish music, edgy service, etc), but we still enjoyed it as a young family. No changing table but bathroom is large, and entryway is accessible with a stroller (door heavy though). We were also thankful for the high chair and open space for our toddler to stretch his legs. Space isnt baby safe so watch for thumb tacks and mini billiards set. Unfortunately, hours had changed but Google and website hadnt been updated to reflect change so maybe call ahead to check before going. Good-sized breakfast sandwiches have fun names with interesting assortment of flavors. I was impressed that cream cheese schmears were so generous! At least 8 flavors of hot coffee available plus 2 kinds of self-service iced coffees. Fun stop to support local business and downtown Plattsburgh. Glad we went!
