This was the worst sign experience Ive had. Joe stopped responding as soon as I submitted payment in full and did not communicate with me much from then on. He missed the deadline for installing the sign in our new office, and then put me off another week without explanation, and then again until it was a MONTH after it was supposed to be installed. We had no sign for our office and he continued to reschedule on me without committing to a new deadline. He then said he had to make revisions to our design; he even tried taking out the dot in the lower case i of our logo and the period in our slogan. He also wanted to basically nail it to the wall instead of using the mounting brackets we had agreed upon. This would have been one thing if he had communicated it with us earlier on, but the additional changes came after a month of back and forth, and did not match our contracted stipulations. He was indignant when I asked about the changes to our design, and blamed it on our design file, at which point I offered to send a new one, but he said the vinyl had already been cut. I would have canceled at that point, but didn’t want him to eat the cost of the materials. I asked about a partial refund or add-on service to make up for the late install and changes to our parameters, at which point he became belligerent and said this job was paying less than his other clients, so he would continue to put them first. It was embarrassing to keep communicating with him when he seemed so irritated by everything. It was equally embarrassing trying to explain his behavior to my employer, who wondered why the sign had not been installed already. It made me look incompetent as the head of the project, and left our new office without a sign for over two months. We had new employees and delivery men wandering around because they couldn’t even find the office. With enough back and forth, Joe finally got the sign installed, but some letters were cut skinnier than others, and they were not aligned correctly along the bottom, creating a jumbled version of our original logo. It was clearly a rush job for him, and he didnt even wipe off his own fingerprints or clean off the glue. He just mentioned again that he had bigger jobs that were a higher priority and was equally discourteous in the office, even in front of my boss. He half-heartedly agreed to a partial refund for the late install, but I never heard back from him. I kept following up about it over the next few weeks, and he finally sent a curt text saying the refund check was on his front porch and I would have to come pick it up. I literally had to drive out to his house and found it sitting on a chair. It seemed like a battle of egos right up to the end, and left our beautiful new office with a jumbled looking Franken-sign that we will eventually have to replace. We will not be using his services again.

Joe and Sherrie are amazing! They have never been anything less than professional and we love their signs. Even after we moved out of state we still call them for signs because we have never had any fade or fall off. We recommend them to everyone we know who needs signs. Top rated, first class business.

Joe & Sherrie Goff hired two employees. I was one. They did not pay use for three months and then let us go. Its been two months and still no word.I was told by Joe Goff that Sherrie Goff (his wife) said: She would not make payroll, that it was taking food out of their kids mouth. They are cheap in there material and cut corners that if you knew you wouldnt support such craftsmanship.

I contacted Black Canyon Signs and met with the owners immediately that day to develop some proofs and get a quote. The fees were extremely reasonable, so I hired them. I am very glad I did. The work was for my business, and all the signage they developed for me was fantastic. Great quality. Great price. Great business. Highly recommend!
