They replaced my 2011 Subarus clutch in one day. I emailed over the weekend. I received a quote, talked with Alan on the phone, and delivered my car the next business day. And 24 hours after, my car was back with a new clutch and flywheel. Very nice to have these guys so close to home in Pleasanton, not to mention having such a pleasant, relaxed, non-hostile, and to-the-point exchange with another human being.

I called 3 different transmission repair companies and choose Kwik Shift Transmission. Why? Because after talking with Allen he seems to be a down to earth honest guy. When I called and told him the issue my wifes car was having, he said it might not be a transmission problem. Bring it in and lets have a look. I did and was surprised it was wheel bearings that was causing the noise, which was quite a bit less than having a transmission fixed. He also checked the transmission fluid and said it really should be replaced since it looks like black tar. All was fixed in less than a day at a very reasonable price. One day my transmission went out on my chevie suburban I ask around to try and find the best gye around and I was told thease gyes were verry go I was comfortable the whole process the price was fair and that were on it one-day I and out verry clean the owner had mentioned he had Ben doing transmisions four nearly 40years I couldnt beleave how fast that were they were verry helpfully took a tremindes whight off my shoulders .truck runs great Im happy Id recommend quick shift to everyone the guys do great work try them youll be happy and you wont have to worry thay no what there doing thats for sure my tranys like brand new

Alan is amazing. I brought my wifes 2007 Hyundai Entourage van to him due to an internal noise and after inspecting it he said it was internal. I had two choices: he could open it up and inspect it, or a brand new unit from Hyundai was available for ~$1750. We agreed a new unit from Hyundai was best, so we did it. To make a long story short, the new unit was defective and when Alan took it to Hyundai for the warranty that came with the new transmission they simply told him it was his fault. He ordered a rebuilt unit with an even better warranty and ate the cost of the Hyundai unit. He got the job done and charged me only what we originally agreed to, even though he was out $1750 for the Hyundai unit. Ive also had a torque convert in my 2000 Explorer replaced by him and Ill take any transmission issue I have to Qwik Shift. If you need some work done, dont hesitate. Hes a man of his word and an honest mechanic.

Allan did an excellent job on my transmission. One of the few honest mechanics one could find. He not only fixed my car on such short notice but did it with class. He wont gouge you like some of the other shops in the area. This shop is HIGHLY recommended for all of your transmission needs!

Great transmission shop. I brought my 2003 2500hd in for a very specific problem, and they knew exactly what I wanted. The guys there quickly fixed the problem the first time. Hopefully I have no other problems on my other vehicles, but if I do, I will bring them here.

If you are having problems with your transmission go see the guys at kwik shift! So hard to find honest businesses now when I find one I stick with them. Had a new transmission installed 5 years ago my son had issues the other day (ended up being user error) called kwik shift he checked the car and answered my questions and even though I was out of warranty he did not charge me for his time.
