Still as amazing as ever.I havent been here since they relocated, and Im impressed! Despite the pandemic, this establishment is still going strong. We had lunch with a coworker and sat on their back patio. We both had iced oat milk drinks (mocha and matcha lattes), which were delicious and refreshing. I like the variety of milk substitutes they offer. We ate the massive mushroom-cheese panini with a side of tomato soup and the breakfast tacos. The produce was fresh, the portions were substantial, and the flavors were delectable. This is a great place to go for good food and an open meeting space with colleagues.
So chic! The menu online is what brought me in the door. It was so unique, had fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as drinks that were beyond just coffee.I had the toast with asparagus, greens, lemon aioli and a poached egg. Yum! It was a full breakfast and made me want to lick the plate. My lavender chai was not only beautiful but also delicious!I couldn’t resist grabbing an espresso and lemon bar on the way out because I enjoyed everything so much. There was outdoor seating in the front and back of the building, as well as ample seating inside. The dessert display case…I would’ve bought it all!!
The press cafe is a super cute and very aesthetic place to get lunch with your friends at. Ive come here many times and it has never disappointed. I love the salads here. The picture is of the blissfully beet salad and the butternut squash soup. Even with a long line we got our food very quickly and the wait time wasnt too long
Service is all over the place and no one bothers to respond. No interaction at all with the customer apart from taking your order and bringing it. I placed my togo order 15 mins later i gave my dine in order and my togo order came 20 mins earlier. I would never visit this place again.
I ordered grits with cheese. It was terrible. They add oregano and green onions. So I asked them to make plain grits and cheese but they said it was pre made and they could not make them any different. So I dont think they considered black people when making them. They were terrible.
The press is usually a favorite. But at this location, there were way too many people and we waited for almost and hour and quarter to be seated. But the food honestly makes up for the wait. The avocado toast, Elvis Presley toast, vegetable frittata and the humble chia pudding are a few of the amazing options available.
The new place is more spacious. And the food is as always Tasty
The Press 🌟🌟🌟Cute restaurant with nice decorations, especially on a Sunday noon, with the sun ☀️ and colorful car show outside.Associates are very friendly and attentive. The waitress came to refill water 3 times during the lunch time.Ordered... I forgot...egg Benedict, and house signature (see pic). Everything looks so pretty. But they all taste ... okay..the egg Benedict, instead of using the traditional English muffin bread. They use the fluffy cake, which was interesting, but the texture doesn’t go quite well...
Crazy how long I have lived in this area and had never been here yet!! What a treat!- Parking: easy, tons as it shares a lot with other businesses- Tables: outside, we sat in an uncovered sunny area, which def got toasty. would recc umbrellas if you can!!- Ordering: Order first, then grab a table. They will remember you by name :)- Staff: Super friendly!!Food:- Tomato Soup: wow! I would order this all day long.- Matcha Latte slightly sweetened with honey: done to perfection- Dill Bacon Sandwich: ok... I realllly wanted to love this fully, however the onions are HUGE chunks and super raw. Raw is fine, but I think slicing them thinly would help w/the bite. This is the only reason for 1 less star.Otherwise, I def will be back!!
No complaints: nice spot, with good bustling energy
It was good. I liked the chai. A huge piece of plexiglass broke and shattered all over the restaurant while we were there. Pure accident and no one got hurt but thats why I took out a star.
Fun little place; we showed up and the line was out the door. There are signs asking patrons to please not sit until after you order. I became a little worried we would not find a table. Basically, by the time you order a table has been opened up and there are staff that take your name and will reserve the table as your spot becomes open. The coffee: delicious, the food: delicious, the French Toast: Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was so good and no complaints here.
One of the best local breakfast places weve ever had.Really high quality food. 100% recommend.Drinks are good, but I would say Ive had better coffee in a few other places. But the food there makes it all worth it for us.Definitely going there again.
One of the best cafes in Pleasanton. Wonderful food and service.
Horribly disorganized. When I finally got my food, the salsa tasted old and expired, the bacon was burnt. The mochi pancakes were so poorly made. Overpriced for such horribly made food. Maybe they were just super busy and stuff slipped through the cracks but highly disappointed.
Not a great place for brunch. The food was ok, I got The Press Benedict. For some reason it has a mustard emulsion instead of a traditional hollandaise which could have been a lot better. The mustard sauce was broken and oily, not very attractive, though it still tasted ok.The bacon was dry and hard and just tasted like salt, clearly not freshly made.Service was good for a cafe.
Amazing food! Very fresh and delightfully prepared! Luv Lizzy, she provides the best service every time!
The seasonal fruit oatmeal was amazing. The avocado toastini was a bit tough to chew, not for weak teeth. They have this crazy seating process, seemed a bit chaotic and a lot of work for wait staff. Nevertheless, by the time we ordered, we were able to have a table despite a long line. Charming areas.
Finally! A place that serves BOTH grilled cheese, and also tomato soup!!All joking aside, while the prices might seem a tad high, its completely fair and worth every cent. Ill pay for quality if its there.Wife ordered a turkey bacon peach panini (yes you read that right), and I ordered the three cheese bacon dill grilled cheese, and I got a side of tomato soup instead of salad. The tomato soup was absolutely delicious. I normally only use it for dipping, but I had to finish it off. The peach panini wasnt canned or jarred peaches, they were fresh, horizontal slices.Food was fantastic. Servers know the dishes really well. Wife cant eat aged cheeses, but staff guided her on what cheeses would sub better for her sandwich. For drinks, I ordered a bottled mandarin orange soda. Wife ordered a lavender chai late. I dont like chai - but she thought her drink was absolutely delicious.Unfortunately the food was so good, we forgot pics!! Cest la vie!!
The Press Cafe has Excellent Food that is D-E-A-Licious 😋, and a Great Atmosphere. Good Place to meet friends for Breakfast or Lunch, and the pastries are Amazing and ALL Home Made. 5 Stars Plus! !
I had the graham cracker latte (very delicious and unique if you like sweeter lattes!!) And a strawberry basil toastini (yummy but nothing too special). Great little cafe but its in the shade so its pretty chilly sitting outside :)
The best toasted turkey avocado sandwich I have ever had! Amazing!!! Now I want to try everything on the menu :D
This place is the bomb! The food is exceptionally good and they r very creative with the items they put together. The food is simplistic, but tasty. I had the baked potato with 2 eggs sous-vided and 2 sliced of lean scrumptious bacon. My friend had a brownie that I had to take a bite of. It was moist and filled with fruits and made with all dark chocolate without being overly sweet. After eating my meal, I broke down and absolutely had to get in the long line to bring a brownie home. Get in line, order your food. While u r waiting, one of the servers will ask the number in your party and obtain a table for u. They will place a yellow post-it on the side if tge table to declare that that table is reserved for u. Come for the food. Stay for their brownie..;)
The ambiance at The Press was very lively and the staff was very friendly. The place was too crowded and we had to wait for ~20 mins to place an order, but the wait was worth it! The wait list system in this cafe was different than any other restaurants, you get waitlisted while waiting in line to order, and somehow the timing are so good that you get seated by the time you actually order. The cafe mocha was up to the mark, but the star item was the fresh peach bread pudding! The pudding was topped with slices of peach fruit. It was not too sweet and paired perfectly with the coffee. We also tried the avocado + egg toast, each toast was crisp with half boiled egg on top of it along with slices of avocado. The spice on the boiled egg was really good, I just wished eggs were sliced and spread across the toast just like avocado.Overall the place is a must go, definitely 5 stars and would visit it again to try all the other items in the menu. I have my eyes on mixed berry chocolate brownie and french toast for next time.
Very refreshing breakfst, highly recommend their avacodo citrus toast!. Quick service, might look chaotic but their process works. Coffee size smaller than most places, good taste!.
Great ambience.. Good breakfast choices
My only experience with this cafe is the graham cracker latte. Cinnamon, honey and oatmilk with coffee. Tastes delicious.
Came on a hot Monday morning. Not crowded but still busy. Staff is friendly and efficient, taking time to pet dogs and talk to regulars. Everything was plated beautifully. Had the avocado toast which was tasty. There is plenty of space between tables inside, which is appreciated so that you dont feel like you are sitting on top of each other. There are about the same number of tables outside. Tables are sized for 2-4 people. You can group tables together but since its busy its difficult to get 2 close enough to move together.
Nice and great ambiance location. Friendly staff and good service!
I’ve been to the pleasanton location 2 times. The food is great! I give it a 5 star rating for the food. The problem is the slow and somewhat unorganized service. I waited over 30 mins for a couple sandwiches. Several people got their food before me that ordered long after I did.I saw 4 people in the kitchen/prep area and the restaurant wasn’t overly busy at that time.I was in the restaurant/kitchen business for many years and I have an understanding of how things work. In my opinion, their system can be improved and streamlined. I think that this would help with the wait times.Regardless, the food is really good and I’ll keep going back. I just hope that I don’t have to wait so long in the future.
Brunch was delicious! Highly recommend if you’re looking for healthy options!
The lattes here are unbelievable, they roast their own beans fresh and it shows. The flavor profile is simply fantastic and one of only two places in Miami Ive found so far where the coffee has no bitter aftertaste, its a smooth experience beginning to end.
Had the Turkey Pesto sandwich. Wasnt hungry so I shared it with my husband. Waited until we got home to eat my half. Mistake! It was so good! Will just have to go back!
Fabulous food.. always! Comfortable outdoor dining under current circumstances!
During COVID Ive been more careful about spending money on eating out. There are a small handful of restaurants that Ill patronize when the future is so unclear. The Press is one of those restaurants. The food is fresh, delicious, healthy - and the staff and owner are friendly, efficient, and kind. Happy to support this locally-owned business that adds a lot of character to a rather unimpressive strip-mall. (I usually get the Turkey Tomato Jam sandwich .... and a cookie)
Trendy breakfast or brunch spot. Been going here since they opened. I still love the eggs bennie
Absolutely the best place around for a light breakfast or lunch! Top quality ingredients in each dish! - Brian B.
Love the variety and quality of their menu
Staffs were nice and I love the ambiance of the place.
Great set up for safe outdoor dining and delicious breakfast.
Food usually is ready 10 minutes after predicted pickup time on Saturday mornings. Pretty busy.
Gluten free bread here!
They have the coffee I love most. I used to live in Pleasanton for 3 years and moved to South Bay. But we still go back occasionally and grab coffee from the Press every time when we are in the town. We were there on mid of Aug and ordered ice latte. It’s so amazingly good taste as always. I think it’s a must visit place when you are in Pleasanton.
Great! Their pesto panini is delish
Great sandwiches and bread. Great coffee. Great value. One of the best restaurants in Pleasanton!
Amazing space w/ ample seating. I can imagine this place filling up on a weekend with nowhere to sit but when I was in there on a Thursday morning around 10:30 it was hopping but still could catch a seat inside or outside. Ended up meeting the owner excellent guy with great knowledge and water and coffee. We talked a little bit about his second location and some different stuff within the industry. Wonderful dude! Coffee was on point, beet Reuben excellent, great service and the building feels good to be inside. If you want quality specialty coffee in the Pleasanton area that ticks all the boxes of a third wave experience this is your spot.
Michael, a sweet & friendly young man took our order @ the counter. Very quick service; delivered to our table. Rest of the staff were also friendly. Niece ordered us to share the smoked turkey pesto & the cinnamon apple + ham. As well as lavender lemonades. Loved the bread. Sandwiches were OK. The salad was fresh. The lemonade was refreshing & not too sweet.
Not customer friendly.
This place is amazing and the staff is always friendly. The food has never let me down.
Great food and fast service. The toastinis are perfect for brunch.
Super friendly staff and even better tasting coffee! Lots of parking at this location and easy to order online or at the counter.
Lavender latte is a little to sweet for me, however their avocado toast( with egg) was light and tasty.
This place was fantastic. Amazing food with good prices compared to the quality. Add to that a very kind staff that give excellence customer service. The owner is incredibly nice as well. Stops and talks to customers. He made me a golden latte to try and no cost. Highly recommend!
Stopped by for a quick brunch over the weekend and was very pleased! The place gives off a homey vibe, and the staff was friendly. Perfect start to my morning :)I ordered the Cured Salami Caprese, which came with a side salad. The portions couldve been larger, but it was tasty nonetheless. There is seating both inside and outside, but not nearly enough tables to fit all of the customers waiting in line to order. If youre planning on eating here, you might have to wait a while to get seated.Parking is usually not a problem, as its located in a plaza with a huge lot. However, expect a long line at peak hours, especially during weekend mornings.
Loved this place
We went here on a Friday during the summer for brunch with the family. It was very busy and packed, and the line was long. We also waited a bit for the food to arrive. However, it was all very delicious and good quality! My sandwich was very good and the seasonal carrot curry bisque was good too!
Fresh ingredients and all kinds of tasty foods!!!
Simple ingredients done right! Food is always fresh and delicious.
The service is excellent and the employees are very friendly. They provide blankets when it’s cold outside and they’re food is absolutely superb. I recommend the the vegan cake. That tastes like heaven!
This place is great and very unique. It looks very nice and the food is amazing. Id highly recommend trying the spicy maple bacon marshmallows. It sounds weird, but trust me, its awesome! The only reason Im giving a rating of 4 stars instead of 5 is that this place has gotten so popular that if you want a table inside, chances are you will be waiting a long time, perhaps 30 minutes or more. So Id suggest going there right at opening time, or later in the day when its less crowded.
Great place to have your morning coffee and a bite to eat. Food is really good, and the coffees are on point. Quick service and friendly staff. Do NOT get your order to go. Thats for someplace like Starbucks. At Press, sit back, relax, and enjoy the whole environment. Treat yo self.
Its a great find in pleasanton. Their sandwiches come with a small house salad. The bread on which they serve their sandwich in delicious. You get two sandwiches in ones order!! Loved the beet and the avocado sandwich. I would definitely recommend trying their coffee as well. They have a cute coffee bar and they serve espresso drinks with a lot of style!
Fresh food prepared deliciously, and fun people to boot! Have breakfast here you won’t regret it.
Great service with a nice rustic ambiance. Food is really good too! Just a tab bit expensive, but for those who enjoy it, it’s worth it.
The Cobb salad was good. nothing to die for. I wish the place had better veggie options. I mean all their soups are vegan, but that would be the only vegan option. I did order a side of tomato soup. Which was good to say the least. However I dont hate the place. Lunch is quite busy. I would order before if your taking to go.
Nice cafe in otherwise unremarkable area. Portions are on the smaller side considering the prices. They serve great coffee as well.
My new favorite breakfast spot!Excellent food and service.Love the breakfast here especially the Avocado toast.
The Press is always a treat. Always crowded, this cozy spot lives up to the local hype. The wide array of breakfast and lunch foods served is always being tweaked, serving seasonal takes on classics. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and even though getting a table can be a headache, you’re almost guaranteed a good spot (blankets outside make cold mornings that much cozier!). Try the golden latte, it’s divine!
Great local café.
