Scott and the crew did a great job, got the job done quick and flawless. Only complaint would be the price. I have had many after market mufflers installed throughout the Pacific Northwest and typically it cost $100 to $150 max to swap mid mufflers. Here a paid $210.

My wipers quit working during a rainstorm. I called Master Muffler and spoke to Scott. He said come on in right now. I was literally in the shop within 10 minutes and on the road again within 30 minutes! Jason, the mechanic quickly identified the problem-thank goodness it was an easy fix and Scott didn’t charge me a penny! They were excellent, professional and just really nice. I would definitely go there again and encourage those of you reading this to do the same. I made it safely to Oregon without any further wiper issues. Thank guys and a big 👍

I have had to have my car towed to a local shop in Pocatello on two separate occasions… coming back with a temporary fix of some kind… my daughter helped me look around for a shop that would fix it right, she told me to go to master muffler… I thought she was crazy, master muffler, my car was not having muffler issues so I thought why would I go there.. they just do mufflers right.. Wrong, they can fix anything. I just have to tell you people reading this that master muffler is the best. They diagnosed a fuel pump module and had it fixed within days.. Scott at the front desk is awesome and all the employees were super friendly. So if you are looking for a reliable shop to take your vehicle, to, take it to the Master… Master muffler you rock!!!!

I had a bunch of work done to my car, very quick and professional and quoted me less than anywhere else. Exhaust tech does AMAZING welds, manager was very kind, professional and explained everything before anything was done. The other techs also do a great job and have worked on my wifes a couple times and we have never had an issue with anybody that works at this store. Office was very clean along with the restroom and they had waters in the fridge for customers.

The owner and shop were amazing!!!! We had an air tube in the engine blow while driving on a long trip up from Utah, and they were able to get us right in and fixed and back on the road in about 20 minutes. And at no charge!! Such amazing service, Scott Beckstead and his techs are awesome!!

Scott and his team were fantastic for me. After my van breaking down on my way through Pocatello, two tows and two mechanics later (I won’t bash the others, but…) I finally ended up at Master Muffler. Scott made it his personal mission to properly diagnose and fix the problem(s). So its been a busy season with Christmas coming up; However! I am super happy with Master Muffler! My heater wasnt working and before I took it to Master Muffler this other car place say it cost me 2 grand to replace this one tiny thing because it was behind my dashboard. Well anyway, we took it to Master Muffler and talk to Scott. Scott was a very trustworthy guy definitely knew his stuff. They ended up fixing heater for 238$ in total. We were so happy with how fast and reasonable their price was that we will definitely be coming to Scott in future car problems. Highly recommend these guys and Scott.

About $940 dollars for new pads and rotors all the way around with a brake fluid flush. Not much to prove that they actually did the flush but it was $80. I feel they realized I was young and uneducated on the topic and took advantage by overcharging. Without a doubt, looking back, I got hosed on the price. I’m not even sure what quality of parts they put on. I’m sure everything was done right, but I definitely feel taking advantage of for the price. Most likely won’t ever be returning, simply due to that fact.

Im in the process of restoring my 1981 Trans Am into show condition. As such, I want the undercarriage to look & perform just as nice as the outer body & interior. Scott & his mechanics know EXACTLY the look & quality results I am after. To date, they have installed top quality performance parts, & are not nickel & diming to death in costs! Ive used them for three major projects, & my car is being worked on as I write for a fourth project. I am really happy with my service from Master Muffler. I called them in the morning, 2 days before Christmas because my car was shutting off while I was driving and the check engine light was on. They were able to look at my car that day, and found the problem the same day. They ordered the parts in to fix it, and it was ready the next day. I was really appreciated that they took my car out for a test drive to make sure it was in working order, and found that my wheel bearing was in really bad shape (which I had an idea of, but never did anything about, so Im glad they fixed it before it blew out in me). They called me to quote prices before performing any services, and stuck to the prices they quoted.

This company provided over the top great customer service. I was wowed by their professionalism in recently inspecting my vehicle and performing a minor repair at a very reasonable price. From my experience you just can’t go wrong with anyone there and I fully trust and recommend them.

Scott and his team are everything I could ever ask for when it come to keeping my 25 year old jeep running. They are very fairly priced and always willing to fit me in in an emergency. Overcharge for mufflers and wont work on your vehicle unless you buy from them direct . If you find the same exact muffler cheaper through someone else buy it And take it to these guys they Wont put it on because it supposedly can affect the warranty. But if you buy the same muffler through these guys they will put it on and it doesnt affect the warranty. 🤔 B.S.

Had just recently purchased a Tacoma and had the check engine light come on. Master Muffler did a tune up, but within a few hours the check engine light came back on. Scott and the crew were able to narrow the issue down to the spark plugs. OE NGK plugs were put in and that totally took care of the problem. Scott and his crew spent several more hours beyond the initial charge, and yet they were extremely reasonable at not charging any more and getting the job done right. My exhaust fell just south of Inkom and Pocatello and Scott and his crew took great care of me. Scott took me in the shop to show. me the old pipe, showed me why they couldn’t repair it, and then showed me exactly what they would be doing for my car. Trevor and Ben had a new exhaust and a new muffler in within 24 hours, and my little ‘92 Volvo has never been quieter. I was able to watch from a window, and I could see they were taking great care to make sure all the welding was done properly. They were efficient, but did not rush to get the job done. I can’t say thank you enough! I was back on the road and at my destination in time to make a planned hike with my father. Definitely recommend!

I stopped to see if I could get my cross pipe fixed there was more damage than I could see so I couldnt afford the immediate repair. But they gave me a good quote and was responsible.

I liked my experience here and I would recommend people to come here.I have been here a few times. I’ve gotten car alignments and car diagnostics done.The most recent time (a few weeks ago), I came to have my car aligned. I scheduled an appointment and brought it in. I was told it would take about an hour or two, but I got a call that my car was finished within 40 minutes of dropping it off.. very fast and very effective. They provided a sheet explaining what was off and what was fixed. Master Muffler was the cheapest place in town to get my car alignment done and I’m glad that I came here. I was also given $10 off if I would write a review, hence even cheaper than everyone else in town!The other time that I came in was to get my car diagnostic done. I had already paid another repair place to do one, but they didn’t seem to know what they were talking about and couldn’t give me very much information about it. So, I took my car in again to get another diagnostic at Master Muffler. I told them that I was told it was the head gasket and they confirmed this. However, they actually gave a thorough explanation of what had caused it and all the details about it. To fix my car, they quoted me several hundred dollars LESS than almost every other place in town. Even better, I wasn’t charged to get my car diagnostic done since it took less than 30 minutes to confirm this and they were just reaffirming what another place had done (but better). I was quoted around $1700 at Master Muffler to get the car fixed and almost everywhere else in town was quoting me at $2400 or more and some wouldn’t even fix it because it was an ‘08 vehicle.Overall, my experiences here have been great. I have always been treated nice. I have had everything explained to me so I can understand what is going on (big plus). I have always had everything done at a great price!5/5, would recommend Master Muffler.

We had brakes done on our pickup and they said to be there at 08:00 so my wife took it there then. Told her it’d be a couple hours to have it done...eight hours later they had it done. There were no updates while waiting. However the work was done well and they stuck to exactly what they had quoted me for the price. If it didn’t take so long to have it done the review would be higher.

Incredible work! Scott, Trevor and Ben did an absolutely amazing job. They ran dual 2 1/2 inch pipes from the twin turbos on my 2013 F150 Ecoboost to an 18 inch muffler and a single 3 inch pipe with a polished stainless steel tip to a side exit. I told them what I wanted and they delivered! They had it all done in a couple hours and it sounds great! I immediately notice a solid growl, increased performance and my gas milage jumped significantly with no cab drone. If youre looking to get exhaust work done in Pocatello thats at a great price for quality work. Stop in and talk to Scott. They will take good care of you and stand by their work. I am completely impressed.

Master Muffler provides amazing service for a fair price. On several occasions I have taken my vehicle into them with a concern, they checked it out, made a small adjustment and got me back on the road at no fee. They care about their relationship with their customers.

The guys at the shop are very knowledgeable and professional. I came in for a brake replacement that was recommended when I got an oil change, so the guys looked at my brake pads and told me I still have more mileage before I need a replacement. Rather than charge me for new pads and the service, the called and let me decide what I wanted to do. Awesome customer service, and very good at answering any questions I had. Thanks guys!

Edit: After finding out we were being taken for, and deciding to get a second opinion on one of the diagnostics we were given only to find out it was a complete lie, there was in fact nothing wrong with the car aside of something being unplugged. After we brought it to there attention they got very passive aggressive and ended up not honoring another contract we had.. I am in the process of working with the cooperate office and filing a formal complaint against the store but in the mean time I would absolutely consider getting a second opinion before dumping any money into this shop. I understand times are hard but to take advantage of repete customers is not ok knowing that they trusted you is not acceptable.

Went in to see why my door handle wouldn’t open my door.... they told me my door handle was broken and that I needed a completely new part.... they were going to charge me $360 to fix it..... today I decided to take a look for myself and it turns out all that needed to be done was a screw had to be screwed in tighter...DONT TRUST THESE GUYS THEY WILL LIE TO YOU!!!!

My car started sounding really loud out of nowhere, with a bit of rattling, so I took it to a local shop that Ive always trusted. It took them two days to even look at it, once they finally got around to it, it turned out to be an exhaust pipe that needed replaced, and they quoted me a ridiculous price ($250) for parts and labor for a simple fix...So I decided to go to Master Muffler due to the good reviews in order to get a second opinion. Mark was incredibly helpful, and within 30 minutes they had already looked at it and quoted me a fraction of the first place I went to. $80 compared to $250 was a huge difference! Within another hour and a half, my car was back to normal and I was good to go. Thank you Mark! And thank you Master Muffler for an excellent experience. Exceptional customer service!!

This was my first car and i had no much idea about anything. A friend recommended me this place and from now i will recommend everyone i know. This place is great. I stopped in without an appointment and was able to get my car looked at immediately. They actually took me to the garage and showed me my brake pads (or lack there of). I was able to pick up my car 3 hours later with all new brake pads. Price was fair. Id recommend it.

John assisted me and the entire experience was excellent! Very honest, explains everything up front including cost. I had brake and exhaust work performed, he estimated that the work would be finished by 5:30 they only went over by a couple minutes. This is definitely my go to place now for brakes and muffler related items. At one point John even came out and explained that they had ordered the wrong part and it might delay the completion of the work a little. They will also show you problems on the car and explain exactly whats going on. Thanks John!

Last Spring another shop had told me I needed to replace all four sets of brake pads and rotors ASAP(even though fronts had been done a year prior). We didn’t have the money to do it right then and didn’t really trust their opinion on it either. We decided to give Master Muffler a try - called and scheduled the repair the same day! When I got to the shop they checked everything first and John came out to tell me my brakes all looked great and did not need replacing at that time. Rotors were a bit warped so they turned them, again the other shop had told me turning rotors was no longer done at any shops as it was an old school technique and was ineffective. John and Ken saved me quite a chunk of money with their honesty and I will absolutely be bringing any other work/maintenance I need done, to them! Thank y’all for your honesty and great service!

What a chill environment! My muffler popped in to pices. The nice gents at Master Muffler stayed open past close to make sure my car was fixed. Hopefully ill never have to come back here but if I do I definitely will.

Travelling for the July 4 Holiday with the family and the car wasnt up for the journey. When I called they were so professional and offered to take a look. I dropped it off and recieved a call within a couple of hours that it was ready to go. Exhaust pipe broke off right behind that cat while I was on the freeway on my way through. Stopped by and he got me right in and welded it up right away, no questions no hassle. Super nice guy, and great shop!

Fast service good prices. They also saw my window was broken called the junkyard got a replacement and installed it at no charge. That was great since the same junkyard had just told me they didnt have the window.

We had a great experience at Master Muffler today. John was a huge help. We are from Boise and had some trouble with our steering. After stopping at two mechanics who were backed up and overloaded we stopped at autozone and they referred us to John. He took excellent care of us and was so helpful. They didn’t finding anything wrong and didn’t make up reasons to get things fixed. Better they didn’t charge us anything. One of other places wanted $49 to just run a check engine monitor. We are a military family travelling through Pocatello and had extremely serious electrical issues with our vehicle all of a sudden. We called a lot of automotive services. Master Muffler took the time to talk to us and made some hours to resolve our car problems. Do not be fooled by the vintage car pictured with their listing! We took our ‘62 Lincoln for repairs. We were looking to have a good relationship with this local business because we had a lot we wanted done to the car. Apparently we got caught up in a very unprofessional “letting go” of a current employee and was innocently in the crossfire. We were not treated very well and I would highly recommend to find a much better place to go! Brent is not professional in his dealings what so ever!

John and Davis were able to take care of the exhaust leaks, and even when there was a slight hiccup due to an old coolant reservoir, I went back in and they took care of it immediately with no charge which was a huge stressor off of me. They then proceeded to offer help for a couple other small things which was extremely helpful. Awesome customer service! Great place to work with!

Super honest! Went in for an alignment expecting to pay $60 for one. As it turns out, my alignment was already great! Instead of charging me the sixty bucks and saying they did the alignment, they charged me half for the alignment inspection. They couldve taken advantage of me by saying they did the alignment but didnt. Huge props to the alignment tech, I believe his name was Davis

While on our way back to Montana, we discovered we needed a new battery unexpectedly at 5p.m. Auto Zone calledahead and told them we were coming. Service Manager stayed untilwe arrived and installed new battery at no charge! Amazing! Recommend this place highly!

They saved my butt on Halloween night, at closing time, while I was traveling thru Idaho on vacation. Nate from Bare Bones Racing wants to thank you John for taking care of me! And by the way, I made it home to Oak Harbor, WA safely, with no further issues.

Normally I would not be taking the time to write a review however I felt it necessary to inform the public, of what I feel as a business practice that needs to stop. Supreme muffler and brake was very close to Earning a 5 star review from myself, everyone I worked with recommended their work, so I gave them a call, loss of power 2001 Buick Regal, I was told that he would do the back-pressure test to verify if it was a clog or not, he did it was clogged. I went and bought the Universal Converter from ORiley auto parts, with my discount with where I work I was looking at 92 dollars that is Invoice for the part, the same part he would put it. R & R on a Cat Converter calls for .7 hours. Most Aftermarket shops are right around $50 an hour. So at .7 of an hour for the job, he was going to round it up to a full hour and charge me $100 on labor. Parts on the job Invoice cannot be more than 92, because the universal converter he would use would of been the same. As the converter I bought and was going to use. Yet his quote to me was $300 How can an Hour Job and a 92 dollar part = 300 when and I quote I only mark up my parts 10%, I have to make a living here too You are a shop you make your living on your mark up on parts and your hourly rate. But to tell a customer No I will not work on your car, with you supplying parts as a business owner, in a service industry where you should be helping and assisting people is wrong.

I took my 2009 Nisson Murano on a Friday with a check engine light on. They diagnosed the problem as a bad cadalyic converter and told me how much it would cost to fix it. It was $1100.00 cheaper than my regular mechanic. I told John to order the part. The part came in on Monday. Tuesday, I took my car down and John, the manager, took me home while my car was being fixed. John said they would come and pick me up when my car was done. I have never had such excellent customer service that went literally the extra 3.5 miles each way to make a customer happy. I would recommend Master Muffler to anyone and everyone. Thank you, John and staff.
