We have brought friends and family here since they started making cheese! Nobody ever leaves disappointed. The cheeses are varied in flavor and all are absolutely AMAZING. We send it out for Christmas presents every year, as well. The cheesemakers are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and hilarious. As a fully functional cheese “factory,” the tours are fascinating, too. Definitely worth a visit, an order online, or a visit at any one of the local farmers markets between Ronan and Whitefish.

Probably decent cheese and as a cheese lover I would have LOVED to have tried it. Thought Id stop by and sit down and be able to order a sampler and then buy some...NOPE. Tiny little outside pickup window where you better know what you want before you try it or buy it. Disappointed cheese fan here.

Just heard about this place and went to check it out. Theyve a walk-up window with a lot of information around the window with a menu. Theres also a bell if they dont see you. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who proceeded to tell us all about the various sorts of cheese Flathead Lake Cheese offers, and allowing us to sample several different kinds to see what we liked best. Im sure this gentleman would have let us go down the entire menu, but just for today we decided on the smoked gouda and mozzarella (they had much more interesting names but they escape me); fantastic cheeses both though. Was an exceptionally fun experience. I will certainly be visiting again here soon after I finish what I have (which will be tonight) to get some more as well as a few more kinds.My advice. Visit this place, get yourself some cheese, included the smoked gouda. Then get yourself some good microbrew and dig in.Lastly, my GPS was a little less than helpful. Flathead Lake Cheese is behind the car wash. You can also get there from 2nd *Ave* East as follows:-Turn north towards lake on 2nd *St*-Halfway down block, just past the BBQ joint, turn right-Down the road until you find the Cheese place on your left (north), will be marked.

It was interesting trying to figure out where to enter. Then we finally realized... you dont enter! You just go to a walk up window. So worth it! The cheese was amazing! The owner was sweet, kind and interesting. I have wanted to go there for years. I will definitely go back! I will also look for their cheese at farmers markets. It will be worth it to even order online!We went home and had some wine, crackers and meats with our cheese. What a perfect way to spend a beautiful Saturday in the Flathead Valley!Thank you Flathead Lake Cheese!

Really great people making superb cheeses. I honestly loved everything I tried, but the Hoppin Mad cheese with hops in it was my favorite. If you get a chance to take a free tour during one of their Open House weeks do not pass it up. They teach you about their cheese making process, show you their equipment and cheese cellar, and they finish it of with cheese samples!

This another one of those hidden gems. My wife son and I sampled every cheese they make. Bought all but one flavor.The went to the glacier brewery and enjoyed beer with our cheeses.

Very tasty cheese, the garlic gouda and the feta were especially good! Loved trying all the samples.

Artisan cheese in Polson! Definitely worth stopping in. I have sampled a bunch of cheeses but the smoked gouda is one of my favorite to take home! And theyre always working on different cheeses. I have also seen them at the Farmers markets.
