Reached out to Nader at Foreign Affairs looking for something unique yet within my budget on a Thursday afternoon. By Friday morning, Nader found me something that was beyond perfect. We immediately started the purchase process, was put in touch with a partnered lender and had closed the sale within 24 hours. During this process, Nader and Foreign Affairs made sure that my car was perfect both inside and out, serviced 100% and ready for delivery. He shared pictures which Ive attached to this review and detailed exactly what was being done. It was clear to me that satisfaction upon delivery was a top priority and I was definitely happy! I highly recommend anyone looking for a clean car thats been well maintained with no surprises upon delivery to reach out to these guys. They are auto business you can trust and who I plan to work with on my next purchase! Thanks Nader and Foreign Affairs!
I performed a major service at FA on my e46 M3 when I first bought it in FL, from VANOS and gasket replacement to brakes, fluids, etc. They’ve done awesome work and were fully transparent from day one. They have a very professional and experienced crew and the managers were a pleasure to work with. Their pricing was very fair and the work was excellent. Highly recommend.
George was absolutely phenomenal. I can’t praise this company enough. Dropped my son off for University in Florida and one week after we flew back to Massachusetts his Audi died. I was in a panic as I am 1200 miles away, I had the car towed to this establishment and from the first phone call with Patty and how sweet and understanding she was, I already felt better about the situation. Monday morning I received a call from George explaining the steps they would take to diagnose the issue. He called me every step of the way! Ty now has a place to bring his car faithfully for any reason and I couldn’t be happier with the level of professionalism and expertise from the staff and mechanics over at Foreign Affairs. THANK YOU!
Its great to find a shop like this. They are experts -- more so even than the dealership I have found. Coconut Creek Audi and 2 other local shops could not diagnose and repair my issue with 2.0T audi motor.George worked diligently to help me get to the bottom of it and make sure that the repairs got covered by warranty. As long as I drive a German car Foreign Affairs will be my mechanic. Thanks again guys!
George is the guy to talk to. I have always working with him when purchasing any high line vehicles. The entire team works extremely hard to ensure every client has the ultimate buying experience. If you value quality service and amazing selection then your search is over.
I have been looking for a reputable and trustworthy repair shop since I moved here 2 years ago. I definitely found that here! Bobby and his team have been wonderful and helped me out when other shops turned me away or just took my money. Very knowledgeable and took great care of my car. Will definitely bring my business here going forward!!
Patty, Bobby and team could have not been more responsive. I contacted them after an online search and they were able to do a pre-purchase inspection on a car I was considering purchasing remotely. Their prompt attention and detailed review provided me with all the data I needed. Highly recommend!
Truly a phenomenal experience. Their team was courteous, efficient, and professional. The service was outstanding and affordable. I would strongly recommend anyone to check them out!
Finally a place that knows their business and how to actually service my car and client. Much love and respect to George Marinos, the guy is not only knowledgeable but very attentive and a professional. Very satisfied
This place is amazing!! Please go see George Marinos for all your needs. He is trustworthy and professional. You won’t be disappointed. He’s the best!
You cannot go wrong with FAM. Very honest and professional group of people to have worked with - from the service manager to the mechanics in the shop. Excellent work!
George is the best. Good service, fair price, would highly recommend to friends and family.
George Marinos couldn’t of been more helpful! Best service I’ve ever had on my Audi. Highly recommend!
These guys are professional and knowledgeable also got my situation solved in a timely manner.10/10 service!
I had my Porsche Cayman gt4 inspected by Bobby. He did a thorough evaluation and spent time on the phone discussing it. They did a PPF on the car and it came out amazing! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone who loves their car. James Lief
This place is a gem! Amy and her team of experienced mechanics got me in, handled a complete brake repair and got me out quickly and efficiently. In addition, unlike the frenzied feeling I’ve gotten in service departments at dealerships in the past, things here were busy, but chill. I’ll go back when we have a similar need in the future!
Foreign Affairs recently performed several repairs on my 2004 Porsche GT3. Bobby Varela the manager took charge of the entire process and insured that the work was the highest quality available. The greatest challenge was removing protective clear wrap which had been on the car from new. I realize it should have been removed years ago and there was a high likelihood of the paint being damaged requiring paint work. The careful and meticulous job they performed saved my original paint and the car looks new. If you want the best see Bobby at Foreign Affairs.
Great Value and service. Ask for George, years of experience and very professional!
Very knowledgeable staff. One of the best
Im not a reviewer per se, but this place needs recognition. If you own a high-end German car, these guys are the experts. They have been maintaining my BMW 750LI for 3 years. Every mechanic I have spoken to at Foreign Affairs Motorsport is very knowledgeable and professional. Amy, at the front desk, is also a wealth of information, with multiple manufacturer connections. Their repair quotes are very reasonable, and will save you thousands over rip-off dealer repairs. I pass multiple BMW repair shops as I drive from my home to Foreign Affairs Motorsport, and I wouldnt take my 750 anywhere else. If you own a BMW, Audi, Mercedes, or Porsche...This is the place!
As an ongoing repeat client of Foreign Affairs Motorsport since finding them in 2014, happy to report another positive experience. Have no hesitation making them your shop of choice if you are serious about maintaining your vehicle properly and looking for a premium experience with a specialized team who truly knows what they are doing. Look no further.
Awesome place for Foreign auto repair. I have been going there for seventeen years and have always beep pleased with everything. I have had work done on several cars over the years. Try them, you will not be disappointed.
Had a great experience with George M. Highly recommend!
First experience with them was excellent. They changed my oil and gave my newly purchased used Audi R8 a once over. They found several issues that the PPI had not noted and that was much appreciated.Second visit however, 0 stars would give negative 5 stars if I could. After having the car for about 10 days, I started to hear a weird noise, it sounded like a belt. I’m not a mechanic, but you don’t have to be to notice a new sound in your car. So I took the car in and told them of the noise that was happening about 90% of the time. I dropped off the car and called back to find that nothing was done because Raul didn’t hear the sound. I come in and take Raul for a drive and the sound was there. Instead of listening or even attempting to see if there was something causing the sound he spent his time trying to tell me that there was no odd sound and that I didn’t know what my car should sound like. Is he serious?! He arrogantly stated he had driven many of these cars and knows what they sound like and that I was just mistaken. Unless he was a test driver for Audi, the likelihood that he has driven so many R8s is zero to none. R8s are not very common. And in any event he hadn’t been driving mine. Luckily there are other options in the area. I took my car to 4Rings in Oakland park, spoke with the mechanic, who had a hard time hearing it but said he would check on the belts since it was an intermittent sound. Turns out a coolant leak had caused my belt to be coated and this was the source of the noise. Belts, pulley, etc., replaced - no more noise. He listened and investigated, problem solved. Pretty simple fix. If you go to this shop make sure Raul is not assigned to your car.
They tried to make tell me I needed a serious repair regarding the oil seal on my Porsche requiring a $3000 repair, I was suspicious so I got second opinions and there were no problems. If you are not acquainted with this shop and dont know a lot about Porsche repair I would get a second opinion. The shops markets itself well and gets people to right favorable reviews but i would be suspicious of this shop.I have been to quite a few Porsche repair places in South FL and this is one place I would not trust, Check the Better Bureau for complaints against this shop.
Bought a consigned car from FAM via HGregLUX. Great experience.
Took in my 2007 Porsche Carrera convertible for some routine maintenance as the check engine light was on. These guys gave me great work, fantastic prices and really upfront about all options from mechanical to cosmetic work. They were not pushy and got the work done extremely fast. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend for anyone looking not to compromise quality of service yet avoiding the expensive cost of taking it to a Porsche dealership.
This is a very professional and knowledgeable workshop for you P-car!! Not only can you get complete service for your Porsche, they are also very familiar with installing performance upgrades for the street or track. You also get first-hand race track knowledge for your on-track experience from Bob and his sons Bobby and Jared. All of the office and workshop staff are friendly and courteous. I am a long time customer who has always received excellent service from Foreign Affairs, including track side support. Highly recommended!!
Amy and the crew are awesome. Great shop and fair prices!
The team at Foreign Affairs Motorsport is terrific! This is the second time I have had them do work on my 2013 Porsche Boxster. I could not be more pleased with the professional work, excellent customer service, and fair price. Thank you to Bobby, Jared, and the entire staff - I will definitely be working with this outstanding independent shop again, and would highly recommend them to any owner of a high end or exotic car.
I brought my 2011 Alpina B7L for some work that the BMW dealership was not able to do - Bobby and his team were able to recommend the necessary repairs and it was done in a timely and professional matter. He really leads by example with excellent customer service and a wide range of knowledge to get the issues understood and resolved. Highly recommend Bobby and Foreign Affairs Motorsport!
Found a better deal round the corner
Great experience today with Bobby and Amy. Needed a battery for my Audi S5 and Bobby got me in and out same day. Mentioned I was due for service and he was able to get my oil changed as well while I waited. Up front with their very competitive pricing and my vehicles upcoming needs. I’ll no longer be using the dealership as Foreign Affairs now has my business.
Had a fuel leak emergency on my Fuel Pressure Regulator on me BMW E92. Called the shop and got Jared. He was the BEST! He was able to fit me in immediately and called around to get the item delivered to the shop with the best pricing!! I’ve been a BMW owner for 7 years and been looking for a local shop. This is definitely where I will continue to have my BMW worked on. Service and prices are great!
As President of Big Island Hawaii Region for PCA, I found everyone at this place to be professional, expedient and friendly with top notch repairs on just what was needed. They did not hunt for more work to do, but did advise if anything else needed repair. They helped get me out of a pickle last month with repairs on my air conditioning in my 86 944 Turbo. So glad the ac works again! Thanks Bob, Bobby, Amy and all the rest of the crew that worked so hard and so quickly to get me back on the road! Aloha!
AMAZING SERVICE AND STAFF. HUGHLY RECOMMEND 👍🏼👍🏼
Honest shop, knows their stuff, great customer service.
Great shop. Had a PPI done on a 2014 991 turbo. They were able to squeeze me in quickly. Bobby was A+ on communicating with me and very informative.
Called the company to enquire about a product, the manufacturer gave me there name as a distributor. Never heard back from them.
Excellent customer service every step of the way. Even after the work was done, they have continued to be helpful with contacts and information. Car is beautiful and the owner is extremely happy!
Long standing, straight up, knowledgeable, widely known, and trusted shop for service and performance upgrades. Dealers, clubs, and individuals know it. Super nice staff. Just all around thumbs up. Im in the business and when our shop is too busy and I need a back up, I take my car there.
Nothing but the best from Foreign Affairs, Jared is the man and his brother Bobby too! The whole team is simply Amazing. Rather take my car here than to the dealership for anything. Lifetime customer here thanks again 2fam!
Great first experience at Foreign Affairs today. Went in for an oil change on my Boxster S. They gave my car a thorough inspection and walked me through all the things to keep an eye on. Fair prices and great service. Several people asked me if all my questions were answered before I left, including the tech that worked on my car. Ill be back again the next time I need anything done on my Porsche.
Extremely professional, super friendly & fairly priced. I recently decided to convert my E92 335i from an Automatic to a Manual transmission along with a complete M3 body conversion. After speaking to some people & searching the web for a shop to perform these upgrades I was directed to Foreign Affairs Motorsport. I am very pleased with my decision and must say they run a top notch organization. I would recommend this shop to anyone seeking anything Porsche, BMW, Mercedes or Audi! Best German repair shop in South Florida hands down!
This is a very competent shop with all the right tools and equipment to get any work on your Porsche/BMW done right. Friendly and helpful staff that are there to advise you of your repair options in person or over the phone. They only use quality parts and they have fair labor rates, a great alternative to the dealership.Additionally, if you take your car to the racetrack these guys can definitely help you out as they provide great trackside service and attend a high number of events throughout the year.
Great experience. Jared, was very knowledgeable and passionate about the cars they service as well as fair on price and extremely transparent on the process. Only problem is I wish they were closer to Miami! :)
Unbelievable service and professionalism! My Porsche 911 was recently vandalized with my entire interior totally sprayed with a fireextinguisher. Foreign Affairs totally disassembled my entire interior as the fireextinguisher corrosive powder totally penetrated all of the entire wiring under the dashboard and center console. Foreign Affairs totally reassembled the entire interior and returned my vehicle to me in prestine condition to all manufacturers specs. My words cant express enough about Foreign Affairs. They are by far the best company that I have ever experienced!
I came in last minute and Bobby Junior was awesome. Despite the fact that they were slammed he still accommodated me and did some great work on my Porsche GTSThank you Bobby!
Best service
The best
Foreign Affairs Motorsport has always provided me with top quality services for all my BMW, MINI, and Porsche vehicles. I am picky and appreciate quality and they have always treated my cars as if they were their own. They have a professional group of mechanics that care about their work and your car. They have a fair hourly rate and never overcharge. They always provide great prices for OEM and aftermarket parts where necessary. Ultimately, I would say the main reason that I continue to do business with Foreign Affairs is because I trust them. They have never given me any reason to doubt what they are telling me about my cars. I have been doing business with them now for a number of years and will continue to do so. I have done wheels/tires, alignment, brakes, all scheduled maintenance, and even performance upgrades with them. They have always been flexible with my schedule and have stepped up for me in emergency situations. Great folks.
Super helpful and fair price definitely recommend taking your car here especially if you have a foriegn one. They throughly check everything and are far cheaper than the dealership.
I have been servicing my 2011 Porsche Cayman S with Foreign Affairs since I purchased it new. This has included both regular maintenance as well as extensive modifications for the track. Their knowledge, professionalism and skill is above and beyond anything I have I have found in South Florida. The car runs impeccably and receives many compliments. When speaking with other people in the industry I have repeatedly been told that I am in very good hands. They have saved me money over the years both through maintenance and actively discouraging me from undertaking unnecessary modifications and expense.I recommend them unreservedly to anyone seeking exceptional work and service!
I now understand how and why the ratings for Foreign Affairs are so high. I have a Mercedes GL450. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional. I had a great experience and they are now my place for mechanical and performance. A true pleasure. I highly recommend.
After a year of nobody being able to identify a noise stemming from my Akropovich exhaust, Jared and team came to the rescue!I really appreciate their knowledge and quality of service. It really makes a difference when your shop and mechanics truly know and understand the cars they are working on (2013 M5)!
I have been using Foreign Affairs for the past 14 years. It all started with a 2001 BMW M5. The guys at Foreign Affairs did a full Dinan conversion on the car. I have had numerous cars needing various things over the years. Whether it has been routine service or emergency help, they have always been there for me. I find the work as good as it comes, the expertise is also superb.Several years ago the guys helped me do a track weekend at Sebring with my GT3 which was a lot of fun.So whether you need exceptional care for a routine service or something up to and including full restoration or track preparation for your car ( mostly BMW, Porsche, Mini- even though they did some work on a Ferrari I had) I would highly recommend Foreign Affairs. Also, most importantly, their charges are reasonable considering the high level of expertise that is practiced.(An example of service is the following: A few months ago I needed a periodic service on my 991 Porsche C2S. This included an oil change and brake flush. The local Porsche dealer in Pompano quoted me a fee of $970, it cost for $430 at Foreign Affairs for the same service and they even reset the warning lights for the next service. They have all the computer equipment needed to do all the services properly on your car).BTW- Foreign Affairs is a family run business. They all take enormous pride is getting things right for the customer.Update 11/8/16- Foreign Affairs is still the best place to bring a Porsche, BMW or Mini. They still know there s---. Fair prices for excellent care.
Although the Varela family and crew have assisted me in getting the most out of my vehicles this is the first review I have written.Guess so many glowing reviews already existed.Never really gave it a second thought. Perhaps they r my best kept secret. Not a financially plausible rationale ...certainly not for them!Obviously they have many clients pleased withtheir professionalism, attention to detail, and drive to provide each customer with a one on one experience in a build, upgrade, or justones need to achieve perfection in reaching thatcar guy/girl nirvana we all dream about . U all know what I mean.Having someone see eye to eye with u on that dream build....and to truly see how excited they r to share that with u.Nothing better. They will keep u up to date on your orders, expenses, and give u a truly valuable opinionon choices best suited for your goal and budget.Always impressed guys.Thank u.Kip Winston
Great work and competent team! Thanks Brandon for the advice and great service
I recently brought my newly acquired Boxster 986 in for some after purchase service. Its a 2003 with only 26K but nonetheless I wanted it checked out. I had the oil changed, new battery, and brakes bled, and wheels balanced. The oil filter was checked for metal (IMS), none was found and I was given a clean bill of health. I had noticed a little rust on the hidden tray that holds the battery - requested a new battery and mentioned the rust on tray. Bobby recommended cleaning up the tray; apply rust inhibitor and spray paint black. Result was excellent, looks like new!I was very pleased with the service provided; there is a high level of professionalism and apparent pride and enthusiasm for the cars they service and care for.I happened to meander into the shop area to get a view of the underside of my car. Bob had questioned me about who I was (Bobby is his son),Once I explained that my car was on the lift and I just wanted to get a picture of the underside, he was very gracious in pointing out the engine, transmission and that there were no leaks. What looked like dirt build up and grease was actually the rust proofing and protective undercarriage coating applied in Germany at the factory.Their pricing was very reasonable, or as I expected. Their passion leads to my confidence. You can be sure Ill return for my next service!
Took my S8 there great service had suspension issues priced good and excellent work done right
They took exceptional care of my Panamera. Thank you!
It would be easy to wax on about this multigenerational shop of complete professionals, but ima try and keep it short and sweet. Whether you are looking for performance counselling, or a dealership alternative for regular maintainence, Foreign Affairs Motorsport is the first and last stop for all owner profiles. You might find others offering similar services, but if integrity is what you value most, you need to introduce yourselves to Bobby and Jared Varela, et al, at Foreign Affairs Motorsport.
I had my late model Audi serviced in early 2014 and had a good experience. The caliber of customer service, turnaround time and effort were worthy of a five star rating. Subsequently, I called for my next service and found a radical departure from my first experience. My first call was not returned. I followed up 24 hours later and happened to have my call answered by Bob, the owner. Bob was not willing to take an appointment, which could have been 2 weeks out, for all I cared, but instead began to complain that he was too busy and couldnt help me at that time. Odd! It is a good thing we have options. Next!
I live in West Palm beach, but took my Audi there for an APR upgrade, as I wont do business with the WPB-based APR dealer. It was well worth the drive - Foreign Affairs Motorsports delivered an excellent experience from beginning to end, from the responsiveness of their Service manager, Jared Varela, to the quality of the work, cleanliness of the shop, and accuracy of their quote (time and cost). Ill be back for all my Audi service and future performance upgrades.
Had a wonderful car service here. I highly recommend these guys!
I took my 2009 porsche cayenne in for a check engine light, they did a diagnostic test then smoke tested it, the bill was 280$ which i thought was steep but still paid it anyways. THE SMOKE TEST SAID THERE WERE NO LEAKS! They said the fault is probably from the leak detection pump which costs around 500$ to replace with labor. The check engine light came on again so i took it again to foreign affairs to change the pump, plus the car needed an oil change, filter change, spark plugs, wiper blades, steering alignment. They say the car will cost 1,500$. I was in the middle of doing something so i said no problem. She then tells me the car will be ready tomorrow afternoon. The next day at 3:15 pm i call amy to check on the status of the car, she says the car wont be ready today. So i ask her for a reason, she literally said the guy was busy working on something else. The next day the car is still not finished. i decided to go pick up the car then and there. At that point they had only done the oil change and spark plugs and the bill was 776.5$!!Bob the owner comes up to me and my wife and start by saying First off, we have a parts crisis and cars that come in are not on first come first serve basis, then moves on to say that one mercedes has been there for a month.Super rude old man and worst part would not even listen to what i was trying to say. When i asked him if 3 days was a normal time for changing oil, wipers and spark plugs he looks at me in disgust and says “yes”! Did the service at carmax in literally 2 hours. He even goes further and says “YOU ARE BARELY PAYING ANYTHING IN LABOR” 339$ in labor for changing oil, wipers and spark plugs is nothing!?! It’s a rip off that’s what it is.In the end when Bob saw i was pulling out money to pay the bill he walked away not giving a damn if he retains us as customers, i guess they have a lot of customers and dont need anymore.Best part of it all is that i changed the leak detection pump and check engine light came back again! Turns out the idiot at foreign affairs did not notice smoke coming out of the tank vent valve at back of engine and the fix was simply plugging it back in!Cost of 0w40 oil 8 litres they charge 94.16$, filter+drain plug+”parts cleaner” ~35$. At autozone got 10 litres of 0w40 plus two filters (one free filter) and all stuff for oil change for 94$.labor to change spark plugs 264$!Steering alignment they charge 220$, Bob says that’s cause it’s a hawk’s eye machine, 70$ at carmax using same machine.Leak detection pump they quoted 296$ bought it online for 202$.Every price they put on their invoice is exaggerated. Stay away.
Foreign Affairs was fantasticThey did a PPI on a 997 911 I was looking and knew immediately what to look forI worked with Bobby one of their master technicians and he was very thorough and patient in going through every detail of the car and answering all my questionsI didnt up buying the car after the inspection and am very glad They gave me such good information from which to base my decisionHighly recommended
When I moved down to the South Florida area from New York I had no idea where to take my Audi and who I could trust with it. I had some bad experiences back home with a dealership and local shop so I was looking for place with staff I could trust. But when I went to Foreign Affairs right off the bat I was treated with professional courtesy. I told them I was skeptical of where and who I wanted working on my car so they actually took me out back to the shop and gave me a tour of the entire place! Everyone there has years and years of experience and it shows. My car was as good as new when I picked it up the next day and it was all done for a great price. I have been taking my Audi there ever since and have not been let done once.
Awesome shop with great customer service and turn around times, I could not be happier with the car.
Would never take my cars anywhere else..thanks Bobby...jorge h.
The Best service in Broward
Service, prices everything is awesome! Awesome shop!
This is A +++++ shop I work with Jared and I have to say man I never been so comfortable with working with anyone when comes to my car. Jared always provide me with a answer to any question and know what I am looking for. Thanks to Foreign Affairs Motorsports all my needs are met Dinan chip+ Exhaust upgrade and even my spoiler and will continue to work with Jared / Foreign Affairs Motorsports to get the most out my car. Check them out if you looking for reliability, honesty and results... I rate them A+++++++++++++++++ in my book cant wait for my next upgrade.
These guys know what they are doing. Truly professional service for the finest vehicles.
Knowledgeable techs, great customer service.
Bad Experience. To give the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was a mistake. Told me I had a problem with the car. Went back to dealer they said no problem and went to second shop again no problem. Prices are high and Bob has an attitude problem
Great place to service your German vehicle at a reasonable price.
They do not stand behind their work. The owner came at me strong about how I didnt know what I was talking about and how what I was looking for would cost about $30,000. I spent $8,000 with this shop and instead of trying to work with me on a solution they treated me poorly and strong armed me by having the entire shop stand around me as an intimidation method while the owner suggested that I had crashed my car and this is the reason for having chassis cracks.I went from a 5 star review to a 1 star review. A shop is judged not by their work but how they handle mishaps.
Excellent Service J! In and out in less than an hour. Keep it up!!!
I became the proud owner of a Porsche about a year and a half ago. My 996 Cab was a ton of fun but that IMS thing kept ticking in my head. I did a little research and decided on the course to take to solve the problem- LN Engineering. Called them and asked for a recommendation as to an installer in South Florida. Answer was Foreign Affairs Motorsports. Called and talked to Bob- the Patriarch. Dropped off car for a four day visit and got to meet everyone and look shop over. I felt like I had known these guys all my life. Bob called during install and suggested a clutch and some other items since he was in the engine. Did everything he suggested- got a good report card on car. Since then, back for service once, and just now a new audio system. Could not be happier with the service, prices, and the absolute integrity of this crowd. I have recommended FAM to all of my friends who own Porsches and they agree wholeheartedly. Could be called Family Affairs as the sons Bobby and Jarred are cutfrom same mold as Dad. Try them- you will keep going back. This is what auto service should be.
Long Review – But you NEED to read this . . .I am a long time BMW owner over the past 16 years. I typically maintain my cars well, and drive them up to +/- 250K miles as I travel a lot for work. Early in 2015, I had a critical engine failure on my 645ci. I figured the best place to bring my car was to the Vista BMW Dealership in Pompano Bch. My thought being that it would be the most appropriate location to diagnose the cause in order to provide accurate details to my warranty service. Who best to diagnose and act as my advocate than the BMW dealership? I could not have been more mistaken. What ensued was six months of the WORST communication, tail-chasing, and aggravation I have ever experienced in my life. The level of service and attention I received from my service representative at Vista was disgraceful. I have 26 pages of email correspondence, where days and weeks would go with no response, phone calls not being returned and no progress being made. In addition, I paid a visit to VISTA BMW in person to find my partially disassembled car parked outside in the elements, and all the removed parts piled in a heap on the floor amidst leaves and cigarette butts. After reaching the point of no return with frustration, I finally found Foreign Affairs Motorsports. Wow, what a difference. This is a family run operation with years of experience and the BEST customer service. Their shop is immaculate. It’s not uncommon to see an array of Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini and other exotics on premises. Under the watchful eye of Bob Varela (father) the entire team took such wonderful care of me. And I am in the service industry, working with high profile clients in the Wyndham Hotel Group and have worked with Hilton and Four Seasons, so I know a thing or two about what good customer service looks like. Foreign Affairs Motorsports conducts themselves in a manner consistent with these leading hotel brands. Bobby Varela (son) was in constant communication with me and I never felt rushed. I had their full attention and care. Nick (Mechanic) was the sole person working on my vehicle throughout the entire engine rebuild and his workmanship was meticulous. Jared Varela (son) was actually the first person with whom I had contact here, and he spent over 30 minutes on the phone with me helping to understand my issue and offering advice . . . and that was even before I had decided to bring my car to their facility.Their labor rates are less than you will pay at the dealership and they are fanatical about caring for the cars and customers under their care. I have the opportunity in my profession to stand in front of hundreds of hotel franchisees throughout the year and one of the topics is often customer care. In my seminars, I now use Vista BMW as the most egregious, tragic and apathetic example of appalling customer care and I use the team at Foreign Affairs Motorsports as the gold standard of outstanding customer service. If you are looking for a facility to call ‘home’ for all your BMW repairs, FAM IS THE PLACE. Don’t question yourself. Don’t bother looking elsewhere. And DO NOT, unless you want to be subject to the misery I went through, even consider going to VISTA BMW. You have been cautioned. Look at the other reviews on here for FAM, they are AWESOME. Look at the reviews on Google for Vista BMW, they have TWO reviews. Yes, the nations largest BMW Dealership has only two reviews on Google. Nothing to hide at FAM. Their reputation speaks for itself. And I am confident your experience here will be the same. These guys have been in business for years, have fanatically loyal clients, and they operate their own race team. I only wish I had discovered FAM years ago. Moving forward I will never entrust my vehicle to anyone else. Give them a call, take your car to their facility, you will be back here again soon to post your own positive review. FAM, I love you guys, keep up the great work, and THANK YOU for everything. – Mark
Foreign Affairs is the only shop I trust to work on my E36 M3 (Track Car), E90 M3 and Cayman S. Just one visit to see their facility and the type of cars that they work on, on a daily basis and youll be sold. Been using them for 7+ years now.
I have been using FAM for almost 8 years now, making the trip from Miami is a non issue because I save time in the end getting my car maintained and serviced properly. I was referred to FAM by Dinan, as the top Dinan guys in Florida. Bob, Bobby, Jared and Jacob Varela are consummate professionals who can handle everything from major upgrades to standard maintenance. They stand behind their work and their 30 years in the business speaks for itself. I have also stopped by unannounced with minor issues when I am in the area and despite being busy they see me quickly and handle the issue without hesitation. I highly recommend FAM for everyone from race enthusiasts to conscientious car owners looking to keep costs down and extend the life of their car.
Fantastic shop with a knowledgeable staff! One of very few places I would trust.
Foreign Affairs really disappointed my fiance and myself- he has been taking his BMW there for years and when it came down to it, I believe they were taking advantage of him....he had a continuous problem and when they messed up, didnt even offer a discount. I would be cautious.
The best, especially for performance cars.
Great staff and top quality work
Very professional with an outstanding customer service.
Great guys, consummate pros.
Best in the Biz!!
Excellent service very professional
