Brian and his team have the sun shade process down pat. He built one for me up here 8hrs away for my Key West 239fs. It’s not the cheapest but definitely the nicest you will find. You will need to install Mate Series rod holders with backing plates to hold the pressure applied by stringing it up. Standard rod holders aren’t strong enough. He’s very personable and is always available to walk you through the process. Quality and service is A++

Brian was a pleasure to work with. He walked me through every step of the process including doing a FaceTime while doing all the measurements to ensure I was measuring correctly. The videos he had showing how to install the two clips on the hardtop were very helpful for me, especially drilling into my newer boat!! Pole measurements were provided to him on a Saturday and I had the poles by Tuesday. Measured for the shade on Wednesday and had the shade delivered on Monday. Fits perfectly and looks great. The shade it provides is incredible and makes the bow so much cooler on hot summer days. With the sunshade up, I had the boat on plane at about 25mph with no issues. Highly recommended!!!

I can’t say enough about how great it was working with Brian Crist on the custom bow shade for my 24’ center console. The quality of workmanship that Boat Canvas Factory provides is second to none. Their shade poles are stronger than any you’ll find anywhere else. I did the measuring and installation myself with Brian guiding me each step of the way (over the phone). The process is pretty straightforward if you’re a little bit handy and he has video tutorials on YouTube if you’re more of a visual learner like me. Overall I am very happy I went through the process of doing the custom shade vs buying something off the shelf and trying to make it work. Great family-owned and operated business!

Brian and Canvas Factory was awesome. I found them on YouTube and called. He walked me through the proper dimensions and was super patient. He knows what he needs and why. The result was perfect. His turn around time was only days. It was a bit of work but I learned a lot on what I wanted out of my shade, stuff I did not know I wanted. My guest love it and because of the time we spent on the phone via picture and video was worth the final shade. The wife wants shade and now she has it! Great job. I would order again.

Have had sunshade for almost a year and Love it! Brian was super helpful in walking through the measurements needed. Sent photos and he was available by FaceTime as well when I had a question. Poles are great quality and whole process takes about a minute and a half to put the shade up. Highly recommend.

We live in Seattle and needed a sun shade for our Tiara 3600 Open. We liked what we saw on-line from Canvas Factory but we were worried about how to get the measurements right from such a long distance. Brian walked us through the process using FaceTime and it worked out great. Our cockpit is now a comfortable, useable part of the boat. The Canvas Factory shade is a huge upgrade.

Brian and the Canvas Factory delivered atop notch product. After consultation, I added 4 custom rod/drink holders. Then Brian sent me the custom poles where we did a FaceTime measuring together. The canvas arrived 4 days later (I live in Annapolis) and fit perfectly.

There is an old saying, not always true, that you get what you pay for. In the case of my shade awning from the Canvas Factory, my expections were more than met. A life long boater I know how tough the marine environment can be. Workmanship and quality of materials are first class. I got caught in a sudden squall with 30 kt gusts, no time to get the shade down. The shade rode it out like nothing happened. Like I said, some times you do get what you pay for.

Brian does a great job of getting all the measurements over the phone. He has done it many times and he will walk you right through it.

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE...I needed someone to do a boat cover and Sunshades for my Pursuit Off Shore 385.I looked for over a year all over Miami area and no-one was able to quote or had the ambition to do the job.So, I decided to look elsewhere and came a cross a Youtube video about a company in Pompano that did custom work and something caught my eye.The family business, I am Italian and when a family works together only magical things can happen.I called on a Saturday and Brian came to the phone, he explain all the details, he gave me a quote but he wanted to make sure he could see the actual boat.I was in South America at the time and was only able to call him on the 4th of July, guess what, he answer the phone again. And at that moment I said to myself, this is the kind of people I want to work with.I gave him the Boat Yard address in Miami and I though Brian was never going to drive that far to do the Job. Next thing I know, 8 am next day, he is checking the boat and giving me his feelings about what should be done. This was my first experience working with such a product. Not only was Brian very helpful, he was thorough, which I was pleased to experience, working on boat dimensions from the other side of the Florida. Once he was satisfied with the measurements, he quickly built our poles and sunshade for the cockpit of our Boston Whaler 285 Conquest. After calling multiple canvas shops, Bryan was the only one that answered the phone and was willing to spend the time to explain in detail what I needed. His company did a fantastic job refurbishing my existing cover and designing a new bimini top with every little detail into consideration. It was important for me to be able to still fully utilize the boat for fishing and diving without the top interfering. Bryan made sure we met every requirement and thoroughly explained how to install/remove and position as needed. He and his son are fantastic people and I highly recommend them for any canvas work you need.

I got a job done recently from them and I couldn’t be happier. The service was amazing they came uninstalled the roof to put it on the jig to repair the bows. And once aligned they measure everything and did my bikini top. They give tons of options or colors materials. They guided to which is best for my boat since I have to bring the Bimini down all the time. And after that they came and installed it, to make sure it was perfectly aligned. And on top of everything it was super fast the whole process thought it was gonna take way longer. Would recommend them to anybody
