Very helpful folks. Brought my dryer shell with blower components attached and they checked all of the connections. Recommended coil solenoid and I replaced them and dryer worked like a charm. 2nd visit where they were more than helpful with reasonable prices.

Just had my motherboard on my Maytag fridge go out, they had the part in stock, they were friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable compared to online and elsewhere. I am very glad I called here and I am very glad they were able to help me! Great service went in early right after they opened . Gave my model number for my dryer and told them I needed a new motor and blower wheel . 10 minutes later Im walkin out the door with new parts. Dryer is working good again.

When I say great customer service I mean GREAT my furnace went out and I thought I knew why. Came to Bussard and the counter man (wish I would’ve asked his name ) wanted me to make sure it was the right part. He suggested I go home and get it and he would test it for me he would even stay and wait for me I was there close to closing . So lucky that I did what I thought I need was not. He even wired the part that I needed for me and stayed over. I’m so appreciative a furnace going out in December in Michigan is not good. Thanks so much for going above and beyond I’ll will be recommending to everyone.

He had the part I needed for my water heater IN STOCK on a Saturday morning. And he was able to understand what I was talking about even though I didnt know how to describe it. That may not sound like a big deal, but when youve been without hot water for 2 days and Amazon sent you the wrong part it makes a BIG difference. Prices were the same as Amazon. Next time Ill go here first and save myself the hassle.

Very helpful people. Needed new capacitor for my older AC unit. Model number was no longer legible. Took a bit of back-and-forth and some detective work but they helped me to figure out which replacement I needed. While you may be able to find parts cheaper on-line, it is great to have these kind of local places that have parts in stock.

Counterman saved me the cost of a new furnace igniter when he checked the one I brought in and it was good. Also correctly diagnosed that the problem with my furnace was a bad pressure switch. Knowledgeable and honest, they have my business from now on!

I would not suggest shopping here if you aren’t a professional repair person. I tried attempting to fix my washing machine on my own and bought the wrong part from this store. I didn’t end up using the part at all but they would not accept a return or give me a refund. They stated I “misdiagnosed” the problem and that it “wasn’t their fault”. They state once a part leaves the store they won’t accept returns. Something they didn’t tell me about before I bought the part. So be warned if you’re attempting to repair your own appliances. Now I have to throw a brand new $60 part in the garage.

Very nice, very helpful. Instead of up selling me parts I probably dont need, they helped me to diagnose my problem, told me what part I did need and how to replace it. This was my first experience with the company. They now have another loyal customer.

It was horrible. My mother is a senior citizen on a fixed income. My son tried to return an unopened non mechanical part he purchased to repair my mothers washing machine. This was a part they had in stock. It was not special order. The owner refused to take it back. He was very rude and unkind. It cost almost 30.00. She is on a fixed income and now we do not have the money to get her medication. I am reporting this company to the better business Bureau for unfair business practices. This is not a customer friendly company.

Conveniently located just a stones throw away from Auburn Hills, Clarkston, or Waterford, it’s my “go to” place for heating and cooling and appliance parts.I’ve saved a thousand dollars easily over the course of a few years by doing my own repairs. The staff is very knowledgeable and are more than happy to assist you, and help you diagnosis your problem, so that your appliance is back in working order in almost no time at all. They’re like heating and cooling, and appliance technicians all rolled in to one; they want you to succeed.I thought my igniter was bad on my Maytag Neptune dryer, they checked it, and informed me that I needed to change my coil packs. Two sheet metal screws and two plastic clips later, and now my dryer’s working like new again. The coil packs were only 38.00 $, and I didn’t have having to wait around for a repair technician. Who has time for that? Plus you get the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment by doing your own repairs.Amazingly, they always have the correct part, in stock; they’re first rate and professional, I highly recommend them. The next time one of your appliances starts “acting up” call them first, and start saving money!

Have always had a great experience when dealing with them. They are very good at figuring out what the likely problem is, and have always had the parts I needed in stock. You might be able to find the parts you need online for less, but wont get the speed or service you get here.

Came in with model and broken part. They knew what it was and though did not have it in inventory the were able to get one in 2 days. Price was great and the people there are willing to help.Will go there for all my appliance self repair needs.

I have been going to this appliance parts store for the past 5 years now on a referral from a friend. They have helped me take care of my washing machine, dryer, air conditioner, and today, my furnace. I have always received the proper part the first time, every time. They were able to tell me that my capacitor (which I thought was bad) was actually still good. We diagnosed that the only thing left to do was to replace the buzzing motor. They had the replacement motor in stock, and the correct capacitor for it. They coached me on how to wire it, and told me that if I needed help to remove the difficult squirrel cage that they would take it off for me, for free !! I showed up 10 minutes before closing time and bam, they took it off for me (as I could not). This is a nice, efficient place to get that appliance back up and working again, with some professional coaching if needed. I strongly recommend this place.

I was in desperate need of a dryer part, I showed up right at 5 pm, when they closed. Not only did they gladly help me but they also searched newly received boxes searching for the part I needed. Like always they had it and now my dryer is back in business.Great place to do business with!

Place is a little rough around the edges but they are extremely helpful. The one time they didnt have the part I needed to get my furnace going they were willing to send me to one of their competitors in the area that I didnt know about.

Rip off on common parts. Want more than triple what you can buy online for and almost double what servall wants on part# 285753A. I dont expect them to match online because of buying power, but at least be competive and work out a deal. Servall sells the part for $17. Very reasonable. This place wants $29. I offered $20, knowing they will still be making good money on it; and they said, It is what it is. We arent here to make deals.What a joke. You will never have my business just for saying that. Im all about shopping locally to help the local economy. But when your customer service is that bad, you deserve to go out of business.

I bought a thermistor at Bussard. The one they offered me didnt look right. I asked them for one that was rounded. They insisted they were offering the only one they had.I took it home and tested it, but it did not work. I had to call a technician who came out and told me that it was indeed broken and looked like it had been used.So I took it back to Bussard for a refund and they refused to take it back. It was in exactly the same condition they had sold it to me. Furthermore, they brought out the one I had asked for in the first place! They had it all along, but sold me the broken one instead.I will never do business with them again.

Dishonest. - Ripped me off. Bought a kit that should of had a tool in it. However, when questioned - Wheres the tool? They say you dont need the tool. Will not refund even- when parts are still in package. Do not shop at.

In a single word Bussard Appliance Parts Co. are Fantastic. 5StarsIt is so rare to find good Honest service in todays society, and I can honestly say, I received nothing less that 100% commitment from Jim, and his very able staff.I arrived home after Thanksgiving to find that my Furnace was out. After getting my Mechanical and Heating degree on Youtube University, I proceeded to Bussards Pontiac, where I met Jim, and told him my sorrowful story. Miraculously he was able to provide the exact part I needed for a 17 year old furnace. After installing the sensor, my furnace was still not working. I phoned my professor Jim, described the symptoms, gave him the blinking code, and he advised me to replace the board.Before I did that, Jim had me bring the blower motor in for testing, as the blower was not running on start up. After testing and eliminating the blower I installed the board and prayed for heat (my house was 27 degrees when I woke up that morning). During my repair session, I phoned Jim on a number of occasions to verify certain things, not once did he brush me aside, or say he had other issues he was dealing with. It felt as though he was an old friend, with a ton of knowledge, and all the time in the world for me.Happily I got my furnace up and running, due largely to the array of over the counter parts Bussards carry, and the professional advice I received from Jim and his team.I have purchased other household appliance parts from Bussards in the past, and my experience has always the same, Top Drawer, First Class, Excellent.If you are considering tackling an appliance repair, your first stop should be Bussards.
