Outstanding coffee and bakery items! OMG... Worth getting off the interstate for this one! Pontiac, Illinois is on my radar!

These guys WANT to serve great coffee, but as far as I can tell have never had a good cup in their lives. They make their alt milks themselves and they completely spoil the drink. Suggest using national brands. Their style was a bit amateur. Using tap water for their drinks, poor ratios in the latte. Suggest reading the Baristas Handbook as it would greatly help bring this place up a much needed notch or two. Great atmosphere.

I dont know much about coffee, just wanted to see what it was about. The young man working knew a lot about it and helped me understand. Really nice kid.

Cup and Scone is my favorite place of business to visit in Pontiac. The beverages are amazing and the staff is helpful with recommendations if you happen to be indecisive or just want to try something new. Im a fan of their muffins and scones as well. Love their coffee cake when its available! Cup and Scone is one of the very few places of normalcy left. I like that I can wear a mask or not. I appreciate the liberty and respect of it being my choice. I love that I can see the friendly, smiling faces of the staff. The atmosphere is calm, down to earth, warm, and inviting. Truly a place where one can sit down, take a deep breath, and relax.

If you are traveling on Pontiac, IL. You can taste the most delicious coffee in Cafe. Spacious interior space and comfortable seating on the second floor. There are also a variety of drink menus and some bakery menus.

Great place for a fresh brew of coffee. The service is always excellent with a smile. The place is perfect for sitting and enjoying friends.

The drinks were NOT the best!I got a mango juice, instead of a Mango Smoothie.

Friendly service and quiet coffee nook just off of Route 66!

They helped me and my grandmother get the perfect coffee for her first time in a cafe. She loved her mint coffee, and customized my Carmel macchiato just the way i like it. I will be visiting again, next time Im in town!!

Stopped by after being attracted to the big coffee sign out front. Was immediately impressed by the design and layout of the place. Loved the creativity of the drinks names and was delightfully impressed with everything that came after. I tried a Caramel War Horse and my neice had a Forbidden Fruit Smoothie. Everything was delicious and the presentation of my latte topped my whole experience. I loved that they made a point to show us their beautiful creation! The whole experience just made my day! Cant wait until the next time I can visit!

Great atmosphere for unwinding after a hard day at work

The owners are so friendly and the coffee is made of hopes and dreams. The service is great and I love the atmosphere.

We have been here off and on since they opened. I always ask for the coffee flavor of the day, as advertised on Instagram, and get a blank stare from the ever changing person at the register. My husband always gets the same thing, but it’s never consistent.

Delicious scones and a ton of great drink options-the mint maestro is AWESOME!

Tough review. The coffee is okay but it is so hard to want to support PEOPLE like this. As many of my coworkers have noticed and I saw last weekend, the staff is bad, but the owners are worse. No safety precautions. They laugh at sanitization and germ prevention. They make fun of Covid contagious prevention. My advice is to give your money to another shop that is actually good for all of us.

Such an awesome little coffee shop! Great place to study or catch up with a friend. I was there listening to hours of lectures, and the manager came a couple different times to let me try samples of different drinks! Definitely 5 stars!!

Coffee is wonderful & so many gluten free options for sides. Great atmosphere. I really enjoy grabbing coff6 with a friend here.

A cute place with good lattes and amazing baked goods. I went here while visiting family in Pontiac. Ill admit Ive not had the best experiences with food/beverages in Pontiac before, so I went in without high expectations, but this place has better baked goods than my local coffee place in Chicago. The scones were the best Ive ever had. The lattes were good too.

They have fine coffee, but this is NOT even close to safe. They are open indoors even though its illegal. Worst part is their staff and even OWNERS refuse to wear face coverings and practice safety in a food and beverage industry. Ignorance and rebellious attidudes is why so many people have Covid in our town. Support other local businesses who care about people and let nature run its course here.

This place is great! Super friendly staff. They make their own chocolate sauce and caramel sauce. The downtown area is so nice. It was Saturday so there was a farmers market and Friendly people. Delicious beverages and scones.

I love that Pontiac has a quaint little coffee shop. Its a great place to work while Im visiting, as well as a solid cup of coffee.The last time I was there, an aroma was wafting through the place. Come to find out they were baking coffee cake for distribution to Bloomington. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a piece and let me tell ya. If you catch them at baking time and you can snag a piece of this, you wont regret it.The only bad thing I can say about the shop, is that on occasion, Ive had a few shots of espresso, and its been screaming hot, but thats an easy temp adjustment. Other than that, the service is great! The coffee, whether you get drip or a latte, great! And the scones and coffee cake are great!

I got the White Knight latte and it tasted amazing. The manager was super nice and very friendly. He gave us free samples of muffins and chocolate torte which also tasted great. Loft upstairs is very calm, clean, organized and a great place to read a book or work in your computer. I definitely recommend this place.

Personable employees, great selection of cold/hot coffee, fraps and lattes. Enjoyed it. Only negative i would state is it was like 100 degrees in that place so we couldnt stay inside. But rotally recommend!

I go there twice a month on evenings the poetry group does their readings. Beautiful old building, fixed up and comfortable, good coffee with great snacks, all sorts of poetry. Makes a wonderful evening.

Great Coffee and many gluten free options.

My first time visiting and I was very happy with my experience. The guy who took my order, I assume the owner, was very knowledgeable about coffee and nice to talk to. Their nitro brew is really good and their food!

The coffee shop is outstanding in appearance. Relaxing, inviting, personable. I was traveling to visit my sick mother and they made me feel welcome the minute I passed through the door. I ordered coffees for mom and myself and they guided me through the options. Did not disappoint. I’ve returned several times; each time is perfect. I returned too and visited with friends. One thing that impressed me was, they volunteered to pray for mom and me. That was heartwarming. I strongly recommend their coffee services for a coffee experience.

This place is truly amazing. Wonderful staff and the best coffee. I live 2 hours north and had a meeting here and my coffee got cold and before I left I wanted to reheat it there and instead they just gave me a fresh cup and said have a great drive home. Wonderful experience and the tilt is the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had! Must get here

Welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Coffee and expresso drinks are excellent. The sweets offerings (muffins, scones, etc.), are delicious and always served with a smile. Very good to see a unique specialty shop open on weekends in Pontiac for out-of-town visitors as well as residents looking for a relaxing break while visiting Pontiac, or simply a cozy and peaceful place for conversations with friends.

My whole family loves the Cup & Scone. My wife visits there probably 3-4 times a week. I like the custom lattes & the chai tea. My kids like the Italian sodas and smoothies. We usually get them to go, but it is a really nice location & has great atmosphere.

Love this place...the place for coffee in Pontiac. The Americano is my preferred and my wife has tried many of the specialties (all thumbs up). Even my girls ask to go for the smoothies.

Im not a coffee drinker, but this kind of place makes you want to become one. I typically just stop in once a week for a house hot chocolate and to study with some guys. Friendly staff and accomodating owners make this a wholesome place to hang out.

I believe The Cup and Scone is the top establishment in Pontiac for great coffee, lattes, expresso, scones, etc... It is beautiful inside, customer service is great, high quality ingredients, and they have a book club and trivia. So, they go the extra mile to give the community something positive to do in their spare time.
