Theyre famous for Coney island hot dogs and have been for many, many years. The grilled bun is what makes it so tasty. They also have great onion rings and fried mushrooms. Good all-American food In a quaint little diner.

I used to love the super Chief... But now the new owners are not as good as the original. The head waitress, she might be part owner; shes very cocky. She always has a smart Alec comment to make about something. Her service is not good I think she let the restaurant go to her head. Each time I go there shes very rude and condescending. And its not just me, shes like that to other customers as well. Ill try this place one more time, and after that Ill never give them my business again. If the service doesnt improve.. she thinks that because they spent a million dollars to reopen the restaurant that she can treat her customers rudely. She needs to learn a little more about customer service.....
I used to eat here yrs ago very good food..I stopped in last week ordered 6 coney and lg onion rings and I was sooo dissapointed.the coney tasted spoiled.hot dogs was cold.onion rings was 5 in a box large..lol they were cold and extremely hard..I will not order there again.the ladys was just standing around..Im beyond dissapointed.whoever took over ownership shame on you.

Although I first started going here when it was Bob Es Super Chief, the quality has not diminished with the name change. Get the Big Chief, maybe two of them, you wont be disappointed!

Just moved into town. A block away from this restaurant. Went for breakfast an it was great. Just went back for lunch an just like the first experience the 2nd one was the same the waitress where awesome an the food is wonderful.. if you havent tried this place your missing out.. its a must go.. them waitress wow just wow.. 😁 absolutely great! Treat you just like family! Once again you must check this place out! 😁

Foot longs are great n love the new section with garage door to give feeling of setting outside. But you can also set outside with the table n umbrellas out side the door! Great food n love the ladies they are Super nice!

Went there for breakfast. Very friendly and fast waitstaff. No hashbrowns, Ive never been to a restaurant that didnt have hashbrowns! My omelet was mediocre. The pancakes were really weird. Hard to describe but they werent like any pancakes Ive ever eaten before; orange and not fluffy, and not very good. I wish this place was better, I heard it has the same owner as the royal diner but I just wasnt impressed.

Staff 100% wore masks and restaurant social distanced. Breakfast was great. I arrived 1 he before their opening time by mistake and they were able to set e me early also. Others showed up early also.

We were looking for a local place to get a coney and were not disappointed!! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but we enjoyed every bite... food was great, service was quick, staff was friendly and we left happy (and our dog enjoyed some of the leftovers). Thank you Super Chief!!

I had always wanted to try the Super Chief and finally got a chance to last weekend. After reading the reviews, I wonder what the place was like a couple of years ago while under the original management as we had a very basic experience.Although I didnt get their infamous footlong coney, we stopped in for breakfast and I got the biscuits and gravy. Nothing special. Came out warm and seemingly out of a can. But, for $5.50, its what I expected.The new decor looks nice and seems to be a local favorite. Our meals came on paper plates - but, Im not sure if that is a COVID-19 precaution or their standard way of doing things.
First time there today with daughter and hubby loved it everything was perfect and waitress was nice and polite

Really good food for a decent price. Our waitress did seem annoyed, even though we were all being polite. I did appreciate the owner coming and saying hello, not many owners do that. My dad comes in regularly, because he enjoys their food. Was a bit disappointed to see that they close before dinner.

My mom worked there for 25years with the original owners an then my wife but when the new owners took over they changed everything the prices an food trust me when i say dont eat there the food was fresh everyday meat,vegetables, bread ect. Now they freeze the meat for days they buy the cheapest stuff now an its more expensive🤦🤦🤦 trust me dont eat there when i tell my wife had to sneak to throw away the meat that was nasty already an they kept selling it like that
I love superchief! You cant go there without getting a footlong chili dog. The toasted bun is what makes it! Also the onion rings are huge and delicious!
Coney Dogs snd onion rings were amazing
So very sad. Been going there for 40 years, no more. Last time we went, they have changed the buns, now they taste like sponge. Could not eat the french fries, terrible. Onion rings were burnt, and they used the outer layer of onion on half of them and they were so tough you couldnt eat them. Ordered a rootbeer float and a chocolate milk shake. Used to be the BEST, and they would bring you the mixer cup with the rest of the shake. They switched to soft serve ice milk that turns everything watery. Carmen no longer cooks there, what a loss for the new owners. They took a sure winner and ruined it. Bummer.

I have been going here for years. The new place looks great but is missing the character of the old place. It now looks just like an ordinary run of the mill coney chain. Nothing unique. Yes they still toast the bun but the foot long dog tastes different. Flavor is lacking. Not sure if it is a change in brand or if the brand changed the ingredients. Just missing that amazing flavor it used to have. Also miss seeing the amazing homemade desserts the old place had. Just seeing them made me get a slice or get some cookies no matter what my budget was. I would eat here again but would not go out of my way to make the drive from royal oak like I used too. Great service but missing its character and the dogs do not taste the same. The dog thing might not be the new owners fault but if it is please change back to the old ones.

If you have been a longtime fan of Bob-Es Superchief prepare to be disappointed. When the current owners took over they assured life long customers that nothing would change. Everything changed from the fries, to the buns and now they charge you for Bob-Es famous Miami sauce.They have lost 3 generations of my family.

Best breakfast potatoes that I have had in the area. Breakfast are good and reasonably priced. Wished they opened at 6:30 am instead of 7:00 am so I could stop in more often.

Its hard to explain exactly what makes these conies as good as they are, but theyre great...is it the grilled buns, or the coney sauce? Dont know. You cant make a regular diet of food like this, but it sure is good a couple times a year. Clean interior and exterior, sufficient parking, friendly staff. They offer a refill of your soft drink to go....nice touch.

This is the best coney dog. They did a lot of work remodeling to add a number of seats and more parking. A great place to eat, i strongly recommend.
Coneys same as 20 years ago. Paid $2.50 for less than 7oz. of soda, then when paying were informed there would be a 4% surcharge for using my debit card. No sign on the door to warn us about the surcharge. I wont be back.

Rediscovered an old favorite. New owners took over......totally remodeled and made it a beautiful spot. Signature footlongs are the same as Originals. This will now become my go-to spot for all the friends that want a breakfast/lunch date

Best chili cheese dogs around! Dont miss a chance to eat here its truly delicious! Though, I wouldnt get the onion rings. Nothing wrong with there its just their fries are better and you can get better onion rings elsewhere.
