Worst experience ever! We moved to Michigan 6 years ago, and since then we buy all kinds of Hispanic products at Pontiac Foodland on regular basis (at least 2x per month). There was a change on ownership that definitely impacted the overall customer experience, but we ignored it. Today my husband brought some bottles for return to the store and they not only refused to receive them but mistreated him, this is completely unacceptable! Pontiac Foodland you just lost 2 loyal clients today.

Good selection of groceries friendly deli staff. Every other employee i have asked questions to are rude and clearly dont care about customers. Includes a thin smaller guy who said he is the owner who walked away when i was talking to him. Ill go back if need something small but wont give them my business. Mark a manager was very nice

That Place should be shut DOWN!! Had FLIES in meat!! They are Bottom Feeders...Called the State.

Allow solicitors and hate preachers to stand inside and pester you while walking in.

Let my food there the night before, a steak and fajita sauce and came back the other day to be told I can’t have my food until it’s investigated ! Never heard such a thing. But I will be reporting them that is very unnecessary if I have a receipt. He can just ask the clerk who bagged my groceries

If your looking for a great place to find Hispanic food items... consider it FOUND!! It might not be as big as the chain grocery stores, but the selection and service will not leave you disappointed. They have the real on deal items you want.

They had so much stuff that i wanted on sale! Most beverages was 10 for $10 or 5 for $5. The meat has always been nice and reasonable. The cashiers were friendly and fast. I didnt ask if they still had the points program as I was just shopping for the holiday. But there is ample parking, and its clean, organized and bright in the store as it should be. Enjoyed my shipping experience, wish I couldve took the opportunity to stock my pantry.

I liked it. Not packed up with a holes. Plus nice elbow room. I was mainly looking for some good meat to grill. Found it! Plus all else I needed

Very clean market, always stocked with a huge variety of what you need. Deli is awesome (try the fried chicken, its delicious). Staff is always nice & friendly. Hit like if this helps you😊

I am so sick of finding food expired way past the expiration date,I bring to the managers attention by bringing to their desk and they get an attitude just going to start taking pictures and contacting the health department I hope everyone else does the same,should be able to visit a local grocery store and not have to be worried about getting food poisoning.

Love the people at this store! Clerks and customer service are through the rooooffff! But it is an expensive store. I can definitely go broke trying to shop for simple items. Best to go when they are having deals.

Good desserts and salads from the deli area. Have to make sure to check the labeling for expired food though. They are good for letting something expire...then wrapping it again with a new sticker. They dont even remove the old wrapping...They just add new plastic wrap over it. Everything else is TOO expensive. Even Whole Foods doesnt charge as much for some of their stuff. If you need something quick and absolutely cant make it anywhere else...theyll do. If you can...please go grocery shopping elsewhere. Youll save money.

Great product, produce and staff. Very helpful and friendly. Only thing is there prices are kind of high. But I work third shift and there open around 7am. Small price to pay, in my opinion.

Stop selling expired food!

This is a fave place of mine. If you are looking for any Mexican or Tex Mex ingredients this is the place. Combined with a great meat section and produce dept. If youre in the area this should be a regular stop.

Some good deals. A lot of the avocados are already a bit soft or ripe. Limited selection of berries. Ok selection of almond milk, but price is $2-2.50 higher than other stores.

Pontiac Foodland...what can I say. The day I was there I was picking up a few items without a shopping cart and I was almost done getting all the items I needed I just had to go get one last thing so I put the items I had chose down on a partially empty shelf to go get that item and when I came back all my items were gone not there. I was only gone about 20 seconds and someone had taken them away. The reason I put them there because it was close to the check-out where I was going to go after getting the last item on my list and I didnt want to carry them all the way to the aisle I had to get the item from. A nice man seen that I was upset and offered to help me retrieve my items. Alls well that ends well.

Not only was the cashier VERY unpleasant but, the prices are outrageous, store is dirty, and the other staff that was stocking the shelves ( which was rude as well.) had the isles blocked with carts and empty boxes which made it harder to get to what I needed to get to! Will NEVER shop here again!

Today my visit was really good the place was clean organized and they always have a few super great deals the cashier was talking so soft I had to ask what she was saying it was like a whisper yet she was very kind and easy to get along along with the manager happened to be nearby and I needed help with the pricing of an item in he was quietly quickly helpful. So for this I say thank you Jesus!!!!!!

Stopped in here for a quick pick up for dinner. Got fresh chicken wings and Nathans hotdogs/buns was in and out. Quick polite service.

Clean, the place to go for Mexican food, nice people, the reviews from the past that were negative should be REMOVED!!! Its a good store and its close to everyone.

Place seems to me to have great quality meats on hand.Vegetables are fresh, some things maybe a bit pricey, but all in all they offer a lot for the consumer.Highly recommend.

I had an extremely poor experience with the manager of the store. I claimed and indeed the cashier did not put the product I payed for in my bag of groceries. He (the manager) took at minimum 15 minutes scanning the security videos and said I was in error. He was very rude. All this over a bag of chips. Also, do not venture into the so-called restrooms without a hazardous material suit. The restrooms are filthy.

Its close to me so its convenient. BEWARE a lot of sale items are expired. Apparently it is legal to sell.

Ive only lived here a few months, yet everytime Ive stopped to pick something up I always leave happy that I chose to stop there. Staff has always been incredibly friendly.Pontiac Foodland will certainly be one of my Go-To grocery stores for many years to come.

Check your dates. Dont be like me and get excited for something to be on sale only to notice when you get home it is two weeks past expiration or the fact the milk expires tomorrow. One plus is that the people are very kind. Good place to pick up stuff but not for your entire grocery order....too expensive.

These guys have EVERY SINGLE flavor of faygo. And in 12 pks too. Lots of different diet faygo choices also. This place is huge, decent prices, clean.

I personally dont like this place. The bottle returns never work, or accept any bottles.The fresh fruits and vegetables were moldy. I had to take several packages to the from desk to be thrown away.Some of the food is over priced!

Double the price on milk cheese butter..... Pop. 7.20 for a 12 pack i pay 7 at walmart for a 24 pack any flavours or brand. ..so.. 😉

Love their meat prices!!! I shop meijer for my can goods and box foods but nobody beats pontiac food land meat prices.

I dont come into this store much. Its clean and the people are friendly. The prices are way too high on most items. I see people come in and buy a lot of things that they can get at a lower price any where else. When they put items on sale and I want any of those things, I might stop in. But, I usually shop at Costco, Meijer, Target or Sams Club and occasionally Kroger or Wal-Mart.

Best place for Chicken prices that I know of. Sure wished we lived closer.

Good for fresh meats and produce. Kind of pricey in all other areas.

The place was filthy, as people were smoking in the back with the dirty floors. There are ceiling tiles missing there were fly catchers with a full mosquitoes attached.

Poorly cared for interior conditions, high priced food items. Chicken is very cheap priced other than that nothing much. They sell banquet dinners for 1.89$! Their 99 cent or 1.00$ at Walmart or even Meijers. Its a rip.

This grocery store sells expired food all the time. Im done shopping here. Just bought hidden valley ranch that expired July 2017 and today is November 2018! Its a shame all they care about is the money and not our community or health!
