Pretty clean store, they have a helpful staff that are willing to help you find what your looking for.

Not as well stocked as the Walled Lake location. I feel like I always go online and see the Pontiac location out of stock on things I need while the much further Walled lake store has it. With that said, friendly enough employees, good enough selection, and like all stores..AMAZING PRICES. I tend to lose or be extremely hard on tools, so I dont care if they dont last as long as some other stores over priced brands.

Bought Chicago Electric 7 angle grinder & two diamond blades. Gutted main bath. House built 1952. Floor was 2.5 concrete, steel mesh then ceramic tile. Three shower walls, 2 concrete, mesh then tile. Cast iron tub. Had to cut the walls & floor in 2 squares to carry out & they weighed about 40# each. Cut the tub into four pieces(bad back). Bought on sale for under $40.00. Went through one blade & still using the second one. This was a massive job & that grinder is still running fine. If you have ever cut concrete w/a saw, you know what I mean. You dont have to guess how happy I am with Harbor Freight Pontiac. I wouldnt do that job under $5000.00. I have never met an unhappy sales person there. No, they are not American made but their tools are what I can afford at this time.

Great for a couple time use tool shopping spree. Not meant for tools to pass down to your lineage. You better have your receipt or a membership, otherwise dont bother trying to return merchandise.

I love this place. The employees are fantastic and helpful, they have a great selection and everything is competitively priced. You also have varying options of durability and price on most every item you need. Its usually pretty easy to get in and out and always feel good about your buys.

Staff is very friendly and great customer service. Bought a small cement Mixer. Its goin back. Came from China. None of the hardware matches assembly instructions. Call the support number and tech support told me to piece it together! LOL. Hubby said if he hadnt heard it with his own ears he would never have believed it.

I purchased a package of AAA batteries at their regular price of $6.99 a few days ago. Then I received an announcement that battery packages were on sale for $4.99. So I took back the new package and asked for a price adjustment, which they glady agreed to. I also learned that they had a special promotion on batteries, buy three packages of any type and get 20% off. That promotion discount applied to the sale price. Consequently, I was able to purchase (3) packages of batteries for $11.97. Less than the regular price of $12.98 for (2) packages.

What I needed was easy to find - one of the best places for good prices on tools and related items, all of good quality

Im not real sure why I like it...oh yes I am. Who am I kidding.. its a store filled with tools! And decent priced tools at that. Ok so sure, I still have a soft spot in my gut for the more expensive big name brand tools, but that doesnt mean theres not a place in my garage for some more affordable type items. Sometimes you dont need a big fancy this or that. Sometimes a cheaper more accessible dont care if it breaks this or that is just what the doctor ordered.Now granted, Im a brand new convert to the Harbor Freight way of life, but Im liking it and Im glad I finally gave them a shot.And dont get me started on the coupons! My goodness! That magnetic bowl? $0.63. The microfiber towels? $0.69. Those batteries? $1.39. That little blue flashlight? Got that sucker for free just for making a purchase. Now tell me thats not cool.

I was extremely pleased with the the service I received on this visit. I had asked that a open box set of wrenches could be discounted to match another set, and he was happy to do it (and get this with a smile on his face) and the cashier was very courteous during the transactionThank you Harbor Fright for such a professional staff

Harbor Freight has a bunch of cost efficient tools. They do not carry lanyards though.

Been shopping in this store since they opened in Pontiac. Affordable tools and other stuff.I will give this store 5 stars if some of the employees werent so rude and not doing what they get paid for. Also some times employees will approach you with the you need help thinking you shoplifting! The only reason still go here is for the price not the service. They hired a new male manager not too long ago that got zero experience with customer service!

Didnt seem like some of the incredibly friendly employees knew about the products they were trying to sell me. After asking for help, I was sent home with a car sprayer to use on furniture and it did not work very well... I returned it.At least the furniture dollies and sandpaper seem to be okay. You get what you pay for. The bigger stores have better quality. This place is good if you just need to get by. And on occasion theres some good stuff in there.

After looking for tools in several places harbor freight was the greatest place to get the tool needed to replace the door on my brothers car

I do like having a harbor freight close to me. the staff is awesome and very helpful. Mark made sure i got the right coupon applied to my purchase for my best savings and the manager helped me load even as a storm turned the sky black in a matter of moments.

Reasonable priced tools

Coupons are not really valid. Went in and trued to use a coupon that said 20% off everything in store. Item was marked $10 off. 20% would have been $15 off. Would not give me proper discount.

Something are a great buy other thing i would rather spend the extra money and get Dewalt

After initially being impressed by a husky toolbox I decided to call the depot and inquire further before committing to the purchase. Their employees were rude to me and couldnt answer basic questions, after a poor first impression I decided to look at other options. I couldnt be happier I made the decision to do more research, the us general toolbox is leagues ahead of anything husky makes when it comes to build quality (look up husky vs us general on youtube) I called Harbor Freight to ask more questions about the toolbox and everyone I spoke to was professional, knowledge, and courteous from beginning to end. I knew right away I was making the right decision shopping here. Shout out to Kevin for keeping me updated on the whole process and being able to work with my tight schedule. My new box is great, for the price it cant be beat. Harbor freight in Pontiac has exceeded my expectations and has earned my repeated business.

A little hard to find help right away but when you do find there very helpful good prices for one time small project needs.

A lot of great deals at harbor freight. However certain items are not that good of a buy because of the quality and longevity... Grinding wheels saw blades sanding paper to name a few. Their handheld power tools can be hit or miss.

Purchased an electric pressure washer the other day. The item did not work so we returned it. Even when telling the lady that it did not work, she charged a 20 percent restocking fee. I was a good customer. Now just supper disappointed.

On a budget or just trying to learn something new this is the place for you. While many sway away from buying tool here because there are not branded like most tool stores it’s a nice choice for those who want to be smart with there money or just need the basics and there is nothing wrong with that since it’s called work. However, one thing that would be wonderful for this location is to maybe add some warranty info on what will be covered to educate your customers. Above all, this location has a nice selection for the person who only wants the basics in life.

Id say whether you want a tool or are a tool, its a worthwhile stop.

The cashier here is great, she is so nice and helps make sure u get the best deal wish more places had a great employee like her. I even bought her lunch because she was so helpful.

Best tool selection, best tool prices

Lots of great deals - especially on tools that you may only need to use once. Maybe not the best choice for tools if you need to make your living with them. But if you only need the tool occasionally, you cant beat the deals. Many of the newer tools they sell are quite impressive, and compete pretty well with higher end name brand tools. Most items at HF are from China.

Cheap tools that are usually built well enough to get a job done. Im sure big brands are better steel and last forever. But for a couple bucks who cares. I dont use tools everyday. If i did then i would invest. For everyone else: here ya go.

They offer a very wide selection of tools at a great value. If you are looking for the highest quality this may not be the best place for you, but if you are looking for tools that can do the job, they have what you need. The people are very helpful. The Isles are nice and wide. The place is fairly well organized.

I am always torn in HF. I dont want to buy cheap chinese tools, but occasionally, with research, I will buy something. Today was exceptional as the gentleman I approached for assistance went above and beyond to help me. Softens the heart at Xmas time.
