I have to watch how many times I go into this store. I could spend hundreds of dollars each and every time I go in there. My daughter (who is grown) loves to go in and see the baby chicks and rabbits. I love everything about the store. Everyone is always helpful and most are friendly. If you want to look for a little bit of everything for Farm or Home....this is where you should go!!

The shelves seemed well stocked, but the staff was nonexistent! I had to wait in line for 20 minutes just to get a price check only to find that Wal-Mart carried the same item for $10 less! Aggravating!

Wife wanted some patio furniture last week. They had what she wanted, but I didn’t have my truck with me. She asked to pay and come back and pick it up later. Told her she could put it in law away. She did and paid half. Went back today, Sunday, and she could not pick it up because they can’t clear a check for the amount on Sunday. Of course, because it is law away, you can’t return. Corporate policy. And, you can’t contact corporate on a Sunday.

Orscheln what can I say you know what you need they have tools, pet supplies, clothes, all kinds of nice things. Farm supplies are tax exempt service always great little pricey but you pay for what you get and mostly you get top quality merchandise at

Very nice people and they have almost anything you need

A large selection of farm products but a bit pricy, Rural King has better prices but is about 60 miles farther away. Home depot had the same wagon that was rated at 400# but cost about $40 less. They have good products but shop around and if you can find the same product in town it will most likely cost less elsewhere

Staff is not friendly there. I went to get chick feed and other items no one bothered to try to come show me where the items were. The cashier had a frown on her face. I ended of going to Legrands feed store for items and ended up going back to Orschelin to take back the chick feed because it was the wrong one and I purchased what I needed at Legrands. Couldnt return because I didnt have my receipt although I had just left the store but offered a gift card. I explained I dont even shop here so I dont need a gift card. I will never go in that store again. This deserves no stars but I cant post this without giving a star.

The cashier seemed annoyed when she was asked about a product they carry. The irritated response was that they carry it, but, she didnt know if they had any. The next associate on the floor was asked and replied with they carry it but didnt know if they had it. We were almost alone in store. It seems like the associate wasnt interested in checking the back to see if it was in.

I was highly disappointed in my experience with this store yesterday. The guy that helped us get the rabbit yesterday wasnt very helpful. He walks up and says what do you want? Which was very rude. He couldnt answer questions about the rabbit. When asked about where rabbit hutches would be he just said over there. Which wasnt helpful. He cost the store over $300 which I spent at Petco because he couldnt be bothered to walk over there or tell us what isle even. Petco was VERY friendly and helpful. Your employee gave me a tiny box that the bunny couldnt even stand in and expected me to take it home in that.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the lady working register was very friendly and agreed to keep the rabbit while I went to petco. She got the bunny a bigger box by the time I got back. I had already purchased a box at petco along with a hutch for the bunny.Overall I feel like they need to teach their employees about how to treat animals and customers both.

New store is great. Everything is clean and organized. Bigger selection of Everything, especially feed for animals. Carries bunnies and sometimes chicks. Has so much more room, it makes the store much more competitive and worth visiting.

We like the new Poplar Bluff, Mo location. Good selection of merchandise, and now sell guns and ammunition. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoy the added savings from their senior discount on Wednesdays.

A, sort of, overgrown Ace Hardware type store. A bit more agriculturally related (like a Farm & Fleet).Place was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get into. (Good news, I understand they are moving to a place about 10 blocks away that has great access.NO - they did not have the weed eater part I needed.... (remember, more the simpler inventory of an Ace Hardware, rather that being a true farm store.Service was almost non-existent. I was in there for about 10 minutes (trying to find the area I needed) and totally ignored. Found an office in the back, with window (no door on my side). I looked inside and saw a man at a desk. I stared at him... he stared at me, but did not come out. They had fewer helpers, per customer, than a walmart.When I finally did find an old guy, he was super friendly, but of no help (mainly because he didnt really listen).Friendly - YES; Well known locally - YES.On the other hand, Poplar Bluff is a small rural town, and few of the local business ever strive-for-excellence, this one is no exception.With all of that said - I am hopeful that their new location will give them a chance to organize better, and perhaps - re-energize them.I perceive that they are honest, and fair minded, and likeable...Give them a try -

Nice place, good for niches I often have in farming supply, clothing is also really good quality, nice staff too. The plant section could use some work though and I wish they had more beekeeping stuff
