My friend took their 350z to Safelite Autoglass in Port Charlotte. And the photos say it all. They glue the broken parts that they broke. Windshield is broken again by them. And they dont want to fix it. I cant say enough about how upset this makes me. Taking people for granted is bad business

2015 accord. Back in January 7 2021 satellite had change my windshield. Then a few days went by I went to turn on my windshield wipers and I was not getting no fluid on the wondshield.took the car back to only find out. The technician did not hook it up and too only find out as well on the shroud, he broke the plastic clips and didnt replace them. So in june I went out of state coming back through GA. During all that rain during Elsa. I kept hearing this noise.the plastic windshield molding was flapping against the windshield. When I came back to Florida. I took my vehicle to satellite on July 10, 2021. Spoke to them and I was told that the technician had press the windshield in too far and broke the clips. They said we will send a technician out on Tuesday July 13,2021. The technician. Todd came out on Tuesday. looked at it and said he have to order the clips. I called on Wednesday because nobody verified the clips was ordered. I called they didnt answer the phone. I stopped by and was told they will be in next week. I stopped by again on Monday July 19, 2021. They said it will be in by the end of the week. End of the week came still nothing. Called my insurance company they called satellite. They couldnt get a hold of them. So I was force to use another company. In one week time they got the parts ordered and installed and everything is fine. PLZZZZZ stay away from the location in Port Charlotte,FL........ They do not stand behind there work at alllllllll. They are the worst!!!!!!! I cant believe they are still in business..... I hope this letter reach the CEO of satellite so they can see the type of work at there locations do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Expert glass installation. Understood where i was coming from and was explained company policy as to why might i not be covered in the future for work done.came away with great workmanship. Top notch and a outstanding experience... though my opinion on reasons for safe light not covering a lifetime warranty is still baffling to me as i can be explained this till im blue in face but i still think a lifetime warranty is still in play.Personally i dont see the valid argument as all cars rust, .... especially if they are old.Does that mean they only have lifetime warranty on newer vehicles and if so what year is that?

5 start service. Tech showed up to the house, even offered to come early instead of the 4 or 5 hour window. Very professional, polite and clean. Replaced the windshield on my Ram truck with original factory glass. Left the job clean.Highly recommend.

The technician tried to talk my husband out of replacing the windshield claiming the there “might” be rust along the frame once he removes the windshield and that he wouldn’t replace the glass. There was no indication of any rust anywhere on the car. He didn’t want to do the job bc it’s very hot and humid outside and he wanted to start his holiday weekend early is what I suspect. The last time safelite replaced my windshield, the technician didn’t replace the rubber strip across the top appropriately and it started coming off. The technician tried to scary me out of having the windshield replaced. He even offered phone numbers to other businesses that can do the job instead.DO NOT USE SAFELITE IF YOU DON’T HAVETO!!!

We had numerous issues with Safelite when we paid out of our own pocket for the windshield replacement. First, we ended up have to take it to the shop, even though we were under the impression it could be done remotely at our home. Fine. Then there was a delay because it was a special order. OK. After finally getting it replaced, we discovered that the windshield buzzed very loudly when driving at highway speeds. We went online and requested a tech visit. Then Safelite send a message saying that our appointment time was canceled? So we scheduled again for the next day: same thing, your appointment has been cancelled. So we called, only to be told that we have to bring it to the shop yet again! We are patient & understanding people, but this tested even us. Finally, someone came out, snapped something down on the passengers side, saying it wasnt snapped down completely (that frightened us!), and he said he can come out again if needed. It STILL buzzes...not as loudly, but we were so over this Safelite experience that we just couldnt deal with this matter anymore. I would have thought that a $650 price tag would have at least left us with a product with which we were pleased, even if the service itself was a C- grade at best. Ive heard such great things about Safelite, and yet our experience is quite the opposite. I cant say that I would necessarily recommend other Safelite locations, but at the very least, I would 100% never recommend to anyone I liked to go to Safelite in Port Charlotte.

Absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service. The right windshield cracked on my 2018 Kenworth. The DOT is doing a blitz next week which means I will most likely get a roadside inspection between Florida and California which will assess points to my CSA score which is detrimental to my CDL and my driving record for a cracked windshield. When I arrived in town, I immediately called my insurance company which now, unfortunately, uses Safelite. They scheduled me for today and when the technician showed up, the glass he had on the truck was a flat glass which hasnt commonly been used on a Kenworth W900 for years. As soon as I get a call from the people Im loading for, I have to leave for the west coast. Even after explaining all this to different people in management, the only solution they came up with is to reschedule me for tomorrow. Theres a chance Ill have to leave before they get here which leaves me in violation of DOT regulations. I will be contacting Gallagher insurance and asking them to revisit their choices on glass companies. If a company is going to service class 8 trucks, they need to know what they are doing and obviously Safelite knows very little about this segment of vehicles. If you dont understand trucking, stay out of it!

No matter what questions I presented, the answer was the same, No. My passenger window came off the track, so I asked if it can be repaired, the answer was no. However if the glass broke, my insurance would cover the replacement, including putting the new glass on the same track as the old one. They wanted to bill the insurance company, not do the same service. I was so tempted to break the glass so it would be covered. However Im too honest for that. It took me 3 hours to do it myself but only a half hour for them. This world is gone to hell in a hand basket. No courtesy, manners or respect anymore.

I CALLED AND THEY ANSWERED MY PHONE CALL TO MAKE A APPOINTMENT,I WAS SENT A RECEIPT FOR $169.23 AS A TOTAL.THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD LATER FOR ANOTHER $1026.00 AND THEY WILL NOT ANSWER MY CALL.I HAVE TALKED TTO THREE DEIFFERENT PEOPLE AND EACH TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD INVESTGATE THE ISSUE AND TAKE CARE OF IT.THSI CHARGE WAS 10-20-2020 AND STILL NO ANSWER,THE RECORDING SAID BECAUSE OF COVID 19 NO ONE TO TALK TO LEAVE A MESSAGE,AND THEY WILL NOT RETURN OR FIX THE PROBLEM.RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS, DONT TRUST THEY WILL FIX ANYTHING

Insurance company set up an appointment with them. A few hours later got an email saying they canceled the appointment. Tried calling them back no answer. Insurance company set up another appointment for me to take the car to them. Before I even walked in the door a guy came out and said he could not change my windshield. Called insurance again, they called safelite again. Safelite told them my car was to rusty. Its a corvette! They are only looking for easy jobs for quick cash.

First bad windshield shame on them. Second and third shame on me.3/3. All three had defects, blemishes, issues. Guess they think you are in a bind and have to accept it. I did not on the third one. Shame. On me for going with them. They can come back and give me a good windshield.And, try calling the number....it rang for several minutes before someone answered. Great company.

Had frontshield replaced on my truck. Safelite damaged the paint while installing. The manager send me to get an estimate. When I presented the estimate, he refused to take care of it. After months of promises, he send me for a new estimate. Again refused to take care of the damage.After one year of dealing with this company, it has now gone to my insurance company who are dealing with Safelite corporate head office.This manager has simply put a very bad reputation to a very good name.

Can’t say enough great things about this Safelite! Everyone was super professional and accommodating, even when I had to run between Safelite and the nearby mechanic like a crazy person. They were diligent, thorough, kind and it was all in all a great experience. My insurance handled the entire cost of replacing the windshield, which was awesome! Thank you to everyone who worked on my 2016 Honda Civic! I know that Honda Sense technology is a pain!!! :)

Tyler from Port Charlotte Safelite was scheduled to come out to the house to replace windshield.1. He called stated he could not do it becouse of the rain. I stated to Tylor that it was not raining and we have a 2 car garage that it could be done in. He stated that he would be awhile.Tyler then asked me to bring my truck into the shop. I stated to Tyler that would not work for us.Tyler then stated that he would be awhile before he could come over and I stated to him thats fine.2. Tylor the called me back with in 2 minutes and told me he had bad news for me Tyler told me the windshield was defective from the factory that he could not due anything until Monday.3. Called Safelite Customer service and explained all this to them, then Tyler called back stateing that he had the wrong customer and he would be over to do the job..4. Tayler shows up to do the job stated that the garage was no big enough that its gonna rain and kept insisting that I bring it to there shop in Port Charlotte.Tyler also stated our garage was not tall enough. Tyler had every excuse NOT do do the work .Obviously Tyler didnt want to work on Saturday.Safelite used be a good company.Sad to see that thier employees dont want to work.All this has been going on since 10.00 a.m this mornin . My appointment was from 12 to 5 p.m..Horrible...

Replaced my windshield twice, both being defective pieces of glass with giant bows (bends) in the glass near the roof line. Almost made it like it was my problem and they didnt care about it. Left dirty hand prints on my headliner near the rear view mirror (which I removed for them) and left black glue on my roof rail near my driver door.. If they dont make good on the warranty on this windshield, I will never use them again and this isnt the first time iv used safelite (first time ever having a a problem though)
