This business is the real McCoy when it comes to auto work; in my case auto exhaust on my 43 year old British classic. They take you into the shop and show you exactly what needs to be done and give you the price it will be. In my case I was able to make an appointment a week out and have the work done while I waited, about an hour. (Special thanks to Scotty). Very professional and genuinely friendly folks at this shop. They seem to treat your car like it is theirs; like the Golden Rule. I cant imagine anyone being disappointed in patronizing this local business in Port Charlotte, here in SW Florida.

Charged me $100 for this weld job (not including muffler I brought my own), even left me some welding wire hanging welded to the pipes.I could of just went to autozone and got exhaust pipe couplers for under $20 and do it myself..And had black smudges and smears on the interior, I’ll try to wipe it down, hopefully it will come out if the cloth seats.

Called and made an appt. for my pickup truck, which had blown a muffler. Arrived at 0815 and was told I didn’t actually have an appt. but they were going to look the truck over and see what I needed.I wasn’t pleased, but in just a few minutes my truck was up on a lift getting new mufflers. They found the time to take care of me.The job was fast, the price fair to me and to them, and the welds look a heck of a lot better than the ones I drove in with.Not looking forward to needing new equipment, but when I do, I will certainly be back.Thanks to everyone involved, I (and my neighbors!) really appreciate it.

This used to be a good place to get your exhaust serviced but now.....something is different. I had them put dual exhaust on my car and asked them to not put it in the way of the transmission just in case I had to take that out. Well guess what, they apparently dont listen very well.

I have been going to Tim since I moved to Florida 8 years ago. I have never once had a problem with any of our vehicles. I have a 71 Chevy C10 pickup truck with a Holley carburetor...... no mechanic and I mean no mechanic in this whole area was able to work on the Holley carburetor and fix it and he did in less than a couple hours and charge pretty much nothing. I go to him, my neighbor goes to him, my boss and my other boss go to him I will not go anywhere else.

Had another exhaust shop cancel on me so I called up Charlotte Harbor Exhaust. Spoke to Scott on the phone. He said noone does exhaust like he does and Ill admit at first I was skeptical, but after seeing what he can do, I stand corrected. The mans an artist with metal pipe and a welder. My exhaust looks and sounds like a factory produced aftermarket catback exhaust. His bends almost mirror the factory bends and his welds are clean, neat and thorough. The owners and office staff are incredibly friendly and treated me like family. Very happy with the overall experience and i would not hesitate to return to this place. Theres a good reason these guys have been here 39 years.

Have taken two tires there to have fixed. One needed to be patched and the other needed two plugs. They got me in and out extremely quick. Goodyear tires in Punta Gorda told me the tire that needed two plugs couldnt be fixed and I would need a new tire! Ill go to these guys next time I need new tires!!Update Jan 2021.....I did indeed take my car to them to have four new tires put on. I believe I got a fair price on Uniroyal tires. They finished the job in a timely manner. The only thing Im a bit upset about is that they charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. I wish they would have said something when they told me it was ready to be picked up. I would have given them cash. Then they added the charge to my bill.and taxed it (7%) on top of it!

Firstly at $350.00 for a Rv with 22 quarts is out of line. Had about a foot of exhaust pipe added from muffler to vent out the side which cost 275. Today I lost the entire muffler system from the motor to end. Not sure if they forgot to fasten it to the chassis or what. Hadnt had any problems before. Of course we are now in Wisconsin and have put over 3000 miles so I am sure they will tell me where to go if I ask about their taillight warranty. Dont see how they can be rated #1 in Charlotte county. There is no way that muffler should have fallen off if it was properly installed. Will never do business with them again unless through some miracle they admit it was there fault and replace it at no cost to me.

I have to say I have had good service in the past with Charlotte Harbor Exhaust and the previous owner but that just went down the tube.I do not think they are capable of diesel work. They are more of a muffler shop and oil changes.On January 1st, 2018 I brought my truck in for a bad, bad hesitation. After 2-days I was told that they thought it was a small hesitation. I do not think there test ride was long enough.There outcome is that I have a fuel leak and a possible VGT sensor that can be bad and the cost for that was $299.60 that I paid. And never fixed the problem.On November 1st, 2017 they said they installed a fuel filter but did they? or was it a bad fuel filter from there parts store next door.To sum it up with Charlotte Harbor Exhaust they were not able to fix my truck. Thank god I did not let them do the VGT sensor which it would of cost dearly and that would not have been the problem.I took my truck to the local Ford Dealer Don Gasgarth they did there engine analysis and come up with 2- bad fuel filters and a oil change. No more hesitation unbelievable.DID CHARLOTTE HARBOR EXHAUST REALLY INSTALL A NEW FUEL FILTER ON 11/1/2017?

I went in on a Wednesday afternoon to find out about getting a Catalytic converter replaced in my vehicle. I was told I needed to order one, which seemed reasonable so I prepaid for the entire service. I was told it would take about 2 hours and the part, a bolt in replacement catalytic converter (which cost more but would save me in labor because no welding, or so I was told) would be there on Friday in the morning so I scheduled an appointment at 10am so I could be out by noon to make a business appointment I had at 1:30pm.I dropped my vehicle off a few minutes before 10:00am for the appointment and confirmed the part was in, and was assured there were no issues and they would call me around noon when the vehicle was ready.I waited until 12:35pm to call them and the lady up front told me she didnt know the status of my vehicle and she would call me back in a minute. I waited until 1:00pm to stop waiting for a phone call and headed to the shop.When I arrived at 1:05pm my vehicle hadnt been touched yet. Hadnt been worked on and I hadnt received a return phone call to tell me as much. When I asked the lady why she didnt call me back to say it wasnt ready yet she said ahhh....... and immediately started blaming one of the techs who went to lunch.Meanwhile the owner was advised of the situation they made quick work to get my vehicle into the shop and on a lift before I could tell them to refund my money and I would go elsewhere. I saw the technician under my vehicle take a sawzall to my exhaust system and I told them to stop. I asked why he had a weld in catalytic converter under my vehicle when I had purchased a bolt in type, which caused them to start scrambling.At first the owner, Tim, said Oh he wants what he paid for? and then to me Oh I didnt know you had ordered one. When I asked how much that one cost compared to the one I was told I HAD to order, it was cheaper by a hundred dollars. When I asked Why I was told I HAD to order one if they had a cheaper one in stock and on the shelf I was told oh well that wasnt me I wouldnt have done that.When I asked What they thought they were doing cutting into my exhaust, and putting in a cheap catalytic converter instead of the one I was told I had to special order, the story changed from I didnt know to I was trying to save you about a hundred bucks.I still have the questions about the legality of telling me I HAD to special order something when there was apparently a suitable part on the shelf...I might have been OK with it if he had said to me before hand Hey sorry about completely missing your appointment and not even starting on your vehicle until an hour after it was promised to be completed and only because you actually showed up here in person to find out...I might have been OK with it if he had said beforehand Hey can I save you a hundred bucks and just throw this in instead?But I paid in advance, I special ordered a part, and if I hadnt been observant and know enough about automobiles that the part I saw them installing under my vehicle from the lobby wasnt the part I had to special order and wasnt what I was paying for, they would have gotten away with even more than they did.The owner when confronted with this offered me a free oil change. Thanks but no thanks.DO NOT bring your vehicle to them for service. They seem to be either completely incompetent (incompetence doesnt excuse theft) or thieves by design.

I had a horrible experience with this place they treat their customers terrible and they will rip you off right in front of your face and the owner will allow every bit of it the owner also allows his employees to talk to his customers any kind of way they feel like cursing for an example as Tim told me to kiss his ass because I was trying to confront him in front of the owner of a new $400 bill that was created without my consent, not to mention the car still wasnt fixed. Tim proceeded to lie right in front of my face right in front of the owner Dana as Dana sits back with no CLUE As To whats going on.. Dana says look man what will make you happy and I said for you to do the work on my vehicles that Ive already pre-paid you for which is an exhaust on my truck and a extra cooling fan then I said and dont worry about the car Ill get it fixed elsewhere, so Dina proceeds to tell me OK have your truck here Monday morning we open at eight I said OK the very next day was Saturday I got a call from Dana Dana said hey man listen I was just going over thehours Ive got invested in your BMW and its over 15 hours so you can have one of the two things I OU for your truck you can either take your exhaust or the cooling fan but you cant have both.. With that being said I guess you guys can decide for yourself if you want to take your car to someone thats not truthful thats up to you just sharing my experience with everyone because its not right to try and take someones money....And I swear Ive got almost $600 invested into my BMW and it still doing the exact same thing it was doing when I drop it off still leaking water and I still got the spider in it with the cylinder two misfire so with that being said I write this place is zero have a good day

Brought my car up there for a tune up and some other work. What a nightmare. I would never recommend and I will never go there again. I had an appointment and they never touched my car. No one called me and when I called finally at 3:30, I was to;d no one has done anything. Day 2 got me no where either. I had to call to find out what was going on and I got some man on the phone that just said, oh its just a mess, and a bunch of noises. Then my boyfriend spoke to owner and he said it would hopefully be done Friday morning. Friday came and no one would get on phone and the car still was not touched. Picked up car and by the time I made it to the second shop, I had smoke pouring out of the hood. This was not an issue when I took my car there. AWFUL. No apologies, no calls, no screw off, no nothing. Never again. They suck!!!!!!
