Purchased my car there 11 years ago. Had all my service done there, usually great service, the last 2 years have been rough, but for all of us. Recently had a minor fender bender. Did have issues with body shop. But the 2010 fusion I bought 11 years ago has 70 k miles andStill going strong.
Bait and switch tactics from website to dealership. With reputable dealers, you can tell if a vehicle is on the lot if there is a stock number listed, as dealers assign the stock numbers to the vehicles. Their website stated they had 9 F150s (with stock numbers) available. They had zero. The salesperson tried to argue that Ford assigned the stock numbers which is simply a lie. Do not waste your time and instead make the trip to Bill MacDonald Ford in St Clair. Honesty and integrity with a fantastic customer experience await you there.
Jeff is a good sales person. He got me what I wanted and worked with me all the way around on a trade in I still owed money on. It took a while to get here but it was expected as it was built in India. I got a 1.0 Ecosport. Its a midget escape thats really good on gas and in my opinion has a decent amount of get up and go when needed. Ive bought an Escape from them in the past as well and it was a great experience. Would buy from again.

Great used car buying experience. As a women shopping for a car by myself it can be intimidating but I never felt that way at Northgate. My sales person was wonderful and listened to what I wanted and needed. I would definitely return and recommend Northgate to my family and friends.
Against the advice of my husband, I brought my 2020 Escape here to have the touch screen in my car fixed and the recall for my vehicle also fixed. Guy I made the appointment with said they would order the part for the recall then, that way it would be there when I brought my car to them. Day of my appointment came and I had to tell them, again, I wanted the recall fixed. Long story short, took me dropping my car off 3 times for them to fix the screen and then they never did the recall. I can see why my husband was upset, this place barely fixed what I needed them to. I get parts take a second to get, but on the phone when I made the appointment, yall said it wouldnt take long at all. NEVER AGAIN. When I dropped my car off the second morning, and returned to it that afternoon, it hadnt moved. Why then did it take tracking down the mechanic for 10 minutes to get my keys? Only nice thing about this place is the kind guy who gave me a ride to work 2 days in a row. THANK YOU SIR.
We have bought a couple of vehicles from Northgate Ford. The sales people were friendly and the little that we have had service done to our vehicles has been done correctly and efficiently. My only complaint has nothing to do with Northgate Ford but with Ford Motor Company. I own. $50,000 F150 and the 10 speed transmission flares up between 3rd and 4th gear. Ford Motor Company says there’s no fix for this problem. This issue, if it is not fixed, will someday be a very expensive transmission overhaul.I’m sure if Ford Motor Company came out with a fix that Northgate Ford would contact me to perform the repairs.

Going against family and friend recommendations, we took our Lincoln to Northgate for service. There was a brake issue going on, and wanted to get a professional opinion. Thinking the dealer would be the best place to go, we would have never thought it would be the nightmare that is was. Having knowledge of auto parts and service, I could tell with each phone call they were just putting parts on the vehicle. When one thing didnt work, they moved onto the next. After almost $3k I had new pads, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, and brake booster. With the last item being what (hopefully) was the issue.When we left the dealership, we had a terrible clunking noise in the rear end. We took it back saying there was this noise and to please check it out, that it wasnt there beforehand. They of course changed us the $125 fee to look at it even though they had just had the car and wanted to double check their work.Their diagnostic was that we needed to replace the sway bar links and bushings. Well guess what, we declined this service because we knew it was not the issue.We then took it to another facility, where the diagnostic (free) was to tell us that Northgate did NOT tighten a caliper bolt on the passenger rear wheel. This was a HUGE safety issue and this being our family vehicle it is very disheartening that they didnt even double check their own work before sending their customers away on the road. Thankful this didnt end in a terrible accident due to their negligence.
Trying to buy at a decent price is impossible! Nothing about your trade in is worth anything; yet…they won’t drop a dollar on their vehicles. Even if you show them they are overpriced! 2 stars only because they have a better selection than any other Ford dealer. I wish they’d get new salesmen though…Only editing to reply to Northgate Ford: I found the vehicle I wanted (still want); your salesman (John) would not budge one cent on price, and kept talking down my trade...And...now it looks like you raised the price on the 2017 Ford F350 Dually FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! Maybe youll lower it 3K in a month and it will look like a good deal! :)
Ive had a 5 star experience with this location multiple times. Rather it being oil changes, system updates, or even when I purchased my Lincoln to begin with. Ive always felt well taken care of. They have even done the leg work on researching tires for me and answered Literally every question Ive ever thrown at them. I highly recommend this location!

This is a repost since my first post was taken down somehow. It has been 2 years now. 2 years ago I bought a 2011 f150 from them and 4 months after I got it the motor went and was told that they would not do anything to help it cost me 10 grand on top of the 13 grand I spent on the truck, and everyone I dealt with acted as if they were to busy to help me out. I do not recommend anyone go here for used vehicles or any service.

Tires blew out x two based on poor Goodyear tires structural integrity, separations and or voids. Dealership took care of towing charge and replaced tires with new Bridgestone Tires. Based in the other two tires having nearly 50% ware, I elected to have them provide these with like Bridgestone tires. Took time to accomplish the total task, plus the giving me two new tires I’m pleased with care and service.

Took my car to get serviced had a few front end issues and they did fix them but when I picked my car up I noticed all 4 tires were damaged terribly and very noticeable. Took it up there to get them looked at and there was nothing they could do made every excuse to not take care of the damage they did.
Leroy and Tom both were great to deal with, would definitely say go to them if your ever in need of a nice used car!

Bought a new Ford Edge during the pandemic. It was a unique experience but it was a fairly smooth process. Negotiations were done by e-mail and telephone. I talked with several individuals from Northgate Ford including Mike Wood the salesman, Joe Wood the sales manager, Leroy the used car Manager, and Dean the Finance manager. They were all respectful and helpful. I feel that the deal was very fair.The new Edge replaces my 2013 Edge and while have only had it for 2 days, I am happy with it.Given the guidelines for dealing during the corona-virus I feel the the sales and delivery process was very safe and was effective.
Looking for a new or used car, I would strongly suggest going to Northgate Ford/Lincoln. I did and it was a great decision. Salesman Brook helped us purchase a very good used MKC. I will return in the future if ever i need a car. Plus we are going to give the service dept our business.

Working with John was very easy. He is not a high pressure salesman which I appreciate. The truck is good so far. Only one issue with the back seat release lever which I’m sure Northgate will take care of.

I purchased a 2016 Flex a few weeks ago and the buying experience was great and unexpected. The car was delivered to us about 80 miles away and we were given an extended period to test out the car.We signed the paperwork and the next day it rained and the interior of the vehicle flooded. I reached out to the salesman I was working with and was told the vehicle would be picked up and fixed and then returned to us. I did not purchase an extended warranty but was pleased at the offer for help, just one day after we purchased the vehicle. I spent several weeks trying to get ahold of this person again and had to keep my vehicle under a tarp so it wouldnt flood again.. (unfortunately it still did.)I finally reached out to the manager and was told that the employee over promised and they could not take care of the vehicle like was by the salesman who is no longer with the dealership, and who I am told was already no longer working at the dealership when he made those promises.My experience purchasing the car was good, and Leroy the manager offered some advice on taking care of the issue myself which I appreciate, but the experience still sucked.

Financed a 2016 Ford Focus from this crew. Salesman made me feel comfortable but did not show me my best option for the loan at beginning of transaction. After denying the inquiry he offered a better option.Also after having my car for 1.5 years the car already has paint visibly peeling/chipping in 2 sections. Along with transmission issues with shuddering. When inquiring about the shudder issue they replaced my spark plugs. Leaving a coil pack not fully assembled. I figured that out when the issue persisted and I brought it to a different repair shop. Later I figured out this vehicle has had a trans replacement from previous owner under warranty that I was not informed of when purchased. Already needs a second replacement. Won’t be buying Ford Focus again. There is no re-call for the trans issue.

Awesome customer service as usual, I never have any problems here ever. Just had another great experience here at Northgate, had a quirky ABS and Traction Control sensor. These guys had it all taken care of and out the door in no time flat, its nice to know that there are still good businesses out there that still take care of the customer the old fashion way as it should be.
Once again Adam in the service department and those who worked on my car took much better care of me and my car than I had anticipated. I didnt realize that I needed more maintenance than just an oil change and tire rotations at the 100,000 mile mark. Adam and the maintenance team got the four anticipated hours of work done in two hours. Thank you Adam and the maintenance crew!

I bought a “Ford Certified Pre-owned Vehicle” from Northgate Ford in Port Huron. The vehicle is a 2016 F150. i purchased the vehicle from out of state as this model and options were difficult to find locally. the vehicle had problems immediately. i had to have a faulty moon roof fixed. It was covered under the warranty provided for the “certified” vehicle but i was out $100 deductible. The rotors were another issue. the rotors are warped. I placed calls to my salesman but never heard from him. i finally heard from Mitch because he was following up on my survey. he had never heard of my problems. he told me to get the brake system inspected at my local dealer ($49). After spending $149 on a vehicle that left their lot with these problems, I then had an estimate for rotors for over $600 in parts. Northgate’s offer was $250! I was told that if i lived close, they would have me bring it in and they would fix it but because i don’t i’m basically on my own. This dealer uses “certified” to get a premium price. I laugh at the “170 point inspection” If you are not local, do not buy from them as they will not work hard for someone not viewed as a potential return customer.

Such great service! We walked in ready to sign a lease, but my wife forgot het drivers license, so they offered to deliver the car to us the next day at no extra charge -- and we live 200 miles away!Whats more, on the drive over a rock cracked the windshield. They paid to replace it for us.

I recently visited Northgate Ford for a factory airbag recall on my daughters Mercury Milan. When I initially contacted them to set up my appointment the service department was courteous and worked around my schedule to perform the recall work. The service department was prompt in obtaining the parts needed. The day of my scheduled appointment the service was quick allowing me to wait for the service work to be completed and thorough alerting me the vehicle was extremely low in oil after the service tech performed courtesy safety inspection. Im thankful of the service departments concerns for each of there costumers vehicles. Well done!!!!! Thank you!!!
Having the same problem with my Ford F-150! It’s still blowing out blue smoke when I start it up and they have tried to fix the problem? They even replaced the engine block and cylinder heads? I took it in for service on a leaking oil pan and told them it was still blowing out blue smoke. They charged me $115 to analyze the problem and they thought it might be some tunes connected to the turbo? That would cost around $700!!?. I bought an extended warranty when I purchased the truck for $2400 that was supposed to be a “bumper to bumper “ warranty? This whole mess with Northgate Ford will definitely make me think twice about buying a Ford again!

My service was excellent and Aubrey Harland who was my service adviser was the most helpful and courteous service adviser I have ever had at any dealership (I have owned Chrysler and Honda products prior to this Ford).The only reason I am not giving Northgate Ford a 5 star is because they do not take appointments and I do not like the first come first serve practice because if 10 cars show up in the morning you could have a very long wait. Even though they will provide you with a ride home or to the mall, you are still without a car and have to waste time while waiting for your car.

So I dont like posting bad reviews and actually contemplated for a while whether I should post it. So heres how it goes. I was informed of a bent rim that needed to get fixed. Not a problem Ill take it to ford because I PAID for a warranty. I called ahead they said they could look at in in the morning if I take it in. Around 1 hour before closing time I called and asked what was going on and they had not looked at the car yet. Now keep in mind I brought right when they opened only 2 cars where ahead of me. But somehow they where about to check it in an hour and said there was no damage. So I took it to discount tire to get a second opinion. They not only found the bend knowing they werent going to make any money of the check, they marked it so it could be identified. So I took it back in the next day. Stays all day again. They said there was no air leaking in it so they couldnt do anything. Now I had check previously and I was loosing air. So this time my dad comes in with me. Suddenly there was a small leak in the tire but it wasnt enough to do anything. Wait you inspected the car while it was at my house after you checked it and told me it was table leaking? So my dad asked if he could talk to the warranty personnel to understand this. They call up ford tire care and they say that the owner is questioning them. 1 I would not have thought to call the company myself and 2 I OWN THE CAR NOT MY DAD. So my dad corrected her on questioning her. The manager comes out to see what the problem is. So we are talking to him. The entire time my dad is called sir or Mr___ I was called Brandon. This was until the manager had the audacity to call me kid. You can call me many things but I had 5 years in the military and Im still in. I bought the car and I make the trip payments do not call me a kid. I will never take my car to this place ever again and it I would encourage you not to as well. However if your in Michigan and you want a car take the drive to a royal oak ford. Dennis the salesman that worked with me in buying my car didnt just go for the expensive sale he actually went out of his way and tried to find something that would be better gas and cheaper for me in car price and insurance. I still have his number and he helps me when I have questions and will always go back to him specifically.
After the wife was sideswiped in the passenger front and I was concerned about the alignment. I had another shop lined up for the work but being that I had less then 1000 miles on it I felt safer to have my dealership do the work and eventhough it was fully covered by my insurance. it was 1800 less then the othershop and with original ford parts not some aftermarket junk ! If I need more work in the future ( which l hope I wont) I will return to Northgate ford port huron thank you for a job well done and your office staff needs you to by them lunch for a no hassle experience good luck
