We didn’t really know where to look and then somehow came upon Huron Modular Homes and Roger Hamill which turned out to be quite fortuitous. We now own a beautiful Fairmont manufactured home and are very grateful to Roger who helped us every step of the way. He educated us on the process and worked with us on every detail of the home. I wish I could give zero stars. Please see attached photo of the text message I received from owner Roger. Backstory: my father passed away a couple weeks ago after a devastatingly short (one month) battle with pancreatic cancer to which there was no meds or treatments to offer. My siblings and I are obviously mourning while trying to settle dads estate and continue our own professional lives. At first we couldnt bare the emotions of even stepping foot in our dads house, so we decided to sell it. So I posted his mobile home for sale for 3k on craigslist. Roger contacted me and said the home was for his daughter. This was on Tuesday. He wanted to meet up and buy the home that day. I told him no, as I was leaving out of town the very next day for an advanced conference full of non stop lecturing and that I would be unavailable. So we agreed on Saturday. Friday morning my siblings let me know that they decided they wanted to keep dads house awhile longer and flip it themselves. When I let roger know that was the plan, he began to use vulgarities and calling names. I was shocked, as he was well aware that my father just passed and that we were all still grieving. Come to find out, he owns a business selling used mobile homes (I was given a sob story about his daughter needing a home). A good salesman wouldve offered a bit more than 3k if making the deal meant that much to him. All in all, Id avoid this guy. He has no problem lying and from the behavior he exhibited, Id say he is an emotional ticking time bomb.

Recently purchased my first home from here. Roger has a hard working group of guys and many contacts to get the job done. Very accommodating in fixing any issue you may find.

When I was approved to buy my first home I needed to sell my manufactured home fast. I found Huron Homes online and called to get a quote. Roger, the owner, quoted me over the phone $5,000 more than the mobile home park my home was in offered me. I thought it was too good to be true! Roger showed up at his scheduled appointment time to take photos and draft a sales contract. He paid me cash on the spot. No gimmicks or hidden fees.

Roger was wonderful helping me with everything dealing with the insurance and mortgage company after my home burnt down. He def made the experience a lot less hassle free then I was expecting. I would def recommend anyone go through him when purchasing a modular

Roger serves as a broker between homeowners voluntarily selling their homes and dealers purchasing them to move and refurbish. When dealing with homeowners, Roger quotes prices without pressure; he makes and keeps appointments; he does not charge commissions or add hidden fees; he is flexible with dates and arrangements; and he works with a local bank. His advertising is modest and much of his business comes from referrals. There are occasions when homeowners might obtain higher price offers in the fluctuating real estate market -- but there are no guarantees. In my own situation, needing to move after being offered out-of-state employment, Roger delivered peace of mind and a positive experience that was in no way unscrupulous or unprofessional.

This is the most unscrupulous and unprofessional company (and owner) I have ever dealt with in all my years in the mobile home/community operator business. He takes advantage of home owners by offering them thousands of dollars less than what their homes are actually worth in todays market. Then he attempts to shake down communities by stating he will keep buying homes in those communities and pulling them out unless the community owner allows him to store the home in the community until he sells it. The Lakes Estates has fallen victim to this unscrupulous and suspect company. We brought him two qualified/community approved buyers that he rejected. He sold the home to Sun Communities and the home(s) were pulled. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN OR COMPANY!!!! He will NOT offer you market value for your homes! Im not even sure hes a licensed dealer in the state of Michigan. I have filed a formal complaint against him and his company with the State of Michigan Mobile Home Commission.

We went here after my Grandfather had a house-fire. The sales worker (I actually think hes the owner) was incredibly friendly and got my Grandfather a replacement home, custom built for exactly what his insurance gave him.

Never owned a new home before so I went to Huron Homes to get some information. I was treated very rudely and handed a book with home plans. The staff didnt have time I guess to sit down with me. They have lost my business and I wouldnt recommend them.
