Everything in the comments are true. This guy puts rush jobs first. He tells you and shows pictures of everything that he works on and needs work on. He doesnt wait for you to come in with another problem. Everything is pointed out. And asks if you want everything done now or just the problem you pointed out. Most mechanics wait for the next problem because theyre lazy and old. The owner is young ambitious and competent. Old mechanics around here act like union workers watch while 18yr old Timmy does everything. Prices are are average but fair. Especially with German cars. You want a bit g joy b done right go to him

I originally found this place on Google while searching mechanics In the area, as I just moved here. My steering wheel was shaking uncontrollably so I thought it had something to do with a wheel alignment . I saw that the place was closing but called just to see if that was the case. Joe answered the phone and asked me what I needed done I said my steering wheel is shaking and I have to drive two hours to the city. He advised me he is working on a car and if I wanted to wait a few minutes he would take a look, so I waited. Once he was finished he checked the tires inside and advised that I threw off some weight on one of the tires and the back tires were in better condition so he switched them to the front. A few days later I got my other tires replaced and bought brakes and rotors so that he can replaced them . He walked me through what he was doing and explained some of the parts to me. In my experience mechanics just do what they tell them to do and not explain why certain things needed to be done so I learned a few things. Joe is a great mechanic and I plan to go to him for any mechanical needs. He even checked the light I assumed was going out, it actually burned out and he replaced it. Overall it was great service!

I would give Joe 10 stars if I could! After we were stranded with a broken down car over Labor Day Weekend, we found Big Joes Garage to be open and man were we lucky that we found him. From the moment we met him, he went out of his way to be helpful, accommodating, thorough and communicative throughout the whole process of getting our engine fixed (which included him making the trek to Connecticut to get the specific part we needed!). He drove us back to our cabin 20 miles away after we first dropped our car off and offered to let us use his shops WiFi to get some work done while we were stuck in the area for a few days. Joe is trustworthy, knowledgable, resourceful and just a great dude overall-- wish he was closer so he could be our everyday mechanic! If you are ever near the Port Jervis/Milford area and need help with your vehicle, Big Joes Garage is the only place to go!

I found Joe on google. AAA picked me up after calling Big Joes Garage. He brought me in and worked on my vehicle to my complete satisfaction. I recommend this garage 100 percent.

While going on a gateway weekend our car suddenly wouldn’t start after a short break at a gas station. We called our insurance company that towed it to Big Joe’s garage. Joe made a quick diagnosis finding that the fuel pump was not working and needed to be replaced. We ended up with no car in the middle of New Jersey. And, being a 4th of July no Uber around to drive us to our hotel. So Joe suggested to drive us. Man, he saved our weekend! He totally went out of his way to help us! Highly recommend his services ! On the top of being the nicest guy, he is also a great professional !

Big joe’s garage is the best mechanic in the area. He was Incredibly warm and very efficient in finding the problem with the vehicle. The notion of the shady mechanic is not found here. He was honest in his assessment, which is something that hard to come by. He even went as far as driving us to the destination when our car needed to stay in the shop. If you’re ever in trouble with your car, go to Big Joe’s.
