I went here only on one occasion and I do not plan on ever coming back. I decided to check this place out one night as it’s closer to my home than the other liquor stores in town. I spent no more than 3 minutes browsing the aisles before I found my usual beer. I noticed it was slightly more expensive than the other liquor store I usually go to but I was already here. I then bring it up to the counter and the lady asked me for ID even though I’m clearly a grown man almost 60 years of age with a beard. However I understand that’s the law so I went outside to my car to get my license and left the drinks on the counter. I walk back and she has locked the door on me and yells sorry we’re closed now and proceeds to take my drinks off the counter and puts them back on the shelf and turns the lights off in the store. I’m in shock. I understand the store closes at 5PM But I look at my watch and it’s 5:01 what kind of business does this! Yes, you have a right to close when it’s time but my drinks were on the freaking counter and she knew I was coming right back! Like do you want my business or not? Is 30 more seconds of dealing with a customer really that bad? I’m convinced the only reason she asked for ID was to throw me out of the store for what? I have no idea. Unreal. If I could leave zero stars I would. I continue to go to Flynns where I’ve never had any issues and I’ve been there dozens of times over the years living in port jervis.
