A Port Washington, NY institution! Been around decades! Much more than their huge selection of bagels. Great baked goods; sandwiches; beverages; etc.! Helpful, friendly Associates! Reasonable prices! Everything is fresh and delicious!
Ordered fish platter for the holiday. Website had the price at $25 per person (included sturgeon). At pickup was told it was almost ten dollars more than the website and said when he took the order, he mentioned it. No sturgeon Price gouging on a holiday? Obnoxious. Not the first time either
Great local bagel shop! Lox and vegetable cream cheese is the best.
Oh how I miss a good New York bagel and egg sandwich. Im glad this place was recommended by a local. Everything was delicious and I recommend to others.
Old greek looking guy is very rude.. think he may own the shop but that doesnt put you above the customer. Bad business practice little boy
My fiancee has come here her entire life and was so eager to show me it when I first came up to visit the family. Now we go each and every time because theyre just so d*mn good.
Let there be rip offs!!! Just wanted a bacon egg cheese on a roll. By far the lowest quality egg sandwich Ive ever eaten, very stale roll, cheap cheese, stringy fatty bacon. Oh add an ice tea the total was $13 HAHA. Save yourself the time and money, dont go here.
Freshly carved smoked salmon (Nova) to take home and great bagels. Selection of cream cheeses and salads. A steak sandwich (Philadelphia) was not great and the Rugalach were uninspiring.
Best bagels and selection in port washington and perhaps the world
Ive had many bagels but never any that came close to these. Delicious!
Very good and fresh bagels π₯― service very attentive and professional place clean follow Covid19 regulations
Great Place, every time I visit my wife in the Cemetery I stop and grab a bagel. π₯― RIP Patty.
Nice deli great service fresh food attendees are quick and professional prices are very competitive come and enjoy a wonderful sandwich (the have a good selection to choose from).
God I love this place, the absolute best egg everything bagel lox tomato onion and cream cheese !! Ps called them after morning order and delivery, to thank them βοΈ So good π
Extraordinarily underwhelmed. Itβs a shame too, because this place used to be great. Now they serve stale bagels with a tiny bit of fish and charge a fortune for it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
They have a lot of freshly baked bagels and their sandwiches are delicious.
Weak egg n cheese everything bagel special for the price. Got more napkins in my bag to last a week. Lady cut me in line people behind counter payed no mind. be more aware of your customers.
Terrible service, gave them a try twice - both times messed up my order, just a bad deli.
Management is nasty, food is very over priced and food is subpar. Donβt waste your time going here
The only thing I see wrong do not know what line to stand on
Delicious bagels and nitro cold brew
Great sandwiches. Yes they have egg bagels!!
Texted an order to be picked up. These bagels are thin and look cheap. Got a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with butter and bagel was practically burnt. I also got a mini bagel with nova cream cheese and the nova cream cheese just did not compare to other bagel stores in Port washington. I asked for a hot coffee with milk and sugar upon my arrival, the coffee I received was warm, tasted horrible, and upon lifting the lid to dump it, it looked like dirt water. I have been to this bagel store a few times, as itβs on the way out of town for me, but I can guarantee I will never go back. Lastly, all the items are over priced!!
Just ok ..was better 10.years ago..bagels seemed stale
Good price !
Great lox and bagels
Always the freshest and most delicious lox.
Loved it the bagels were amazing. Used to live in Long island, as a new Yorker this is bagel approved.
Incredible selection of bagels. From the old fashion NY bagel, to any other variation you could imagine. Down too gluten free and some of the most interesting flavors. Large selection of flavored cream cheeses, Lox or whatever you wish for. Friendly staff, thank you for your hospitality
β‘Big selection of sandwiches, wraps, bagelsβ‘Reasonable pricesβ‘Area to sit down
Good merchandise but staff can be a bit slow.
Stopped by while heading over to an event with my family. Let there be average bagels. The everything bagel tasted alright, like it was from a bag at the super market with some cream cheese. Guys behind the counter were kinda aggressive, in a bad way. Took 20 mins for 3 bagels and 2 pastries. Gluten free people, gluten free bagel is terrible. Ive had way better in places with way better service. Also, the owners pass along the credit card fee to the customer, got some non-cash adjustment fee on the receipt. It would all be somewhat alright if the bagels were amazing, but theyre not. Not even close. Best of luck to all, let there be better bagels/service elsewhere!
Ive been going to Let There Be Bagels for almost 20 years now. They always have the best ad freshest food not to mention the best bagels in town. A great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or both! I highly recommend.
Not surprised the ratings for this bagel store are so low. Bagels are great but customer service is truly lacking. I spent over 10 minutes at the store trying to get someone to take my order. Staff made eye contact but disregarded my presence. To make matters worse, others that were waiting in line AFTER me were acknowledged BEFORE me.
Total rip off will never go there again
Ive been coming here for years. Theyre the best local bagel shop in Port Washington. The bagels are good but not wonderful. They have very good lox. They do a lot of other bakery stuff and its generally pretty mediocre. Theyve been doing more prepared breakfast and lunch stuff over the years and its decent. Theyre busy and they always have lots of staff to keep things moving fast. I keep going back but I sure would love it if they could step the quality up a notch.
Best bagels in town. Great variety. The bacon is a little salty but no other complaints.
$9 for a Bacon Egg and Cheese on a (Stale)Roll. I would skip this place.
Best bagel store Ive been to in Port Washington ...NO, let me rephrase and give proper credit best bagel store Ive been to in Nassau County - - now Ive only lived in Nassau County for 6 years so there might be a hidden gem but I havent found it locally or in my former life when I lived in Brooklyn forever. Its totally not just Bagels. I saw sugar free treats, gluten free, fresh looking veggie burgers, pastries, cookies, cakes, salads, hot food, juices, coffees & such. I think I got my point across about the variety and embarrassed myself by rambling on and on and on about food food food . Aside from the food food food the place was very large on the inside much larger than I thought it would be and very clean. The people that work there were super helpful too. Check it out.
Super bagels and appetizers. Couldnβt break fast without them. Much love -JGD.
Watch what you are paying? They wouldnt hesitate to charge you extra, more than the actual price. There is nothing special about their bagels either. I wont go back!
Clean restaurant. Casual bite. Fresh bagels
I have finally found a bagel shop where the people are friendly and the food is great!
I have to say my relationship with this place began badly. Never a positive experience. BUT, they did what I thought was the impossible and turned it completely around and I am now a regular text order customer. Their flagels are great and they are very generous which whatever you have on them. Baked goods are delicious. Excellent smoked fish selection as well as fish spreads and salads. Very impressed they turned me into a fan.
Ok tasting bagels, and overpriced. My girlfriend and I ordered (1) grilled chicken cutlet on rye bagel and (1) garlic bagel with roast beef and cheese. Also got 2 waters. Total came to $21. We just moved to area and figured wed try it out. Was not expecting the high cost for something we have ordered before in the city and where we used to live on the South Shore or LI. There its about $8 less and bagels are much better. Also a wider variety of bagels to choose from, and items to smear on them. Plus others spots offer a small bag of chips and pickle (free). The service was good though and they seemed very attentive.
Wonderful staff but absolutely everything is overpriced.
I was actually surprised on how good the chicken mango salad tastes, cant wait to try out something else that looks interesting
Great bagels but do not honor advertised special.
The best bagels Iβve ever had but the store layout is highly inefficient and wait times are needlessly long. I think management needs to revamp their order and checkout process and this place would be much better.
Really good bagels. The second one was an Egg Everything and was toasted better than the first. Yes, I ate two because they were so goooooood! You have got to go here. They have much more than bagels.
Bagles and everything else is great but the place is either understaffed or highly inefficient bit they keep a good customer base because of the quality of the food. Wait times can be very long, so long you wonder why?
Very good bagels
Probably the most expensive bagel place in the world sandwich chips and a Drink costs about $18 Guy behind the counter was rude and didnt even say thank you and they got my order wrong
Love this place, breakfast, brunch, lunch. Fast service. You can call your order in ahead of your arrival. Huge variety and selections. This owner knows how to run a top business
Let There Be Bagels is the best bagel store outside Brooklyn and Manhattan. The bagels are to die for. The selection of food is unbelievable. The store gets long lines but they move very quickly because they have so many servers. It is very clean and the food selection is presented very well. There is seating but they could probably use more because its so popular. Just hoping they expand again. It gets better with each expansion.
Poor service. They have a system of allowing you to text your order ahead of time so you dont have to wait on the ridiculously long lines. On one of the busiest days of the year, they dont tell you that the text system wasnt working. The bagels are only OK. NOT worth the aggravating
Best bagels around (and weve tried them all)!
Absolutely horrendous customer service! I called ahead and placed the order for my office. The lady on the phone was very nice and seemed to know how to take an order. When I went to pick it up 15 minutes later, it was chaos. The was no telling where the line started or who had already been helped. Once I was able to get the attention of one of the associates, she offered to ring me up while my order was being finished (which I greatly appreciated). However when she walked over to the woman preparing my order, she was rudely told not to ring up my order because the lady who was making it wanted to do it. I explained to her that I was in a bit of a hurry and if she could please explain that to her perhaps she would let her do it. Poor lady, I felt so bad because she got spoken to even worse the second time. It was so loud that I was standing on the complete opposite side of the store and felt embarrassed for her and said dont even worry about it because I could hear the unprofessional exchange.Anyways, I brushed it all off and continued on. As a repeat customer, it was the ONE time I called to inform the manager that my order was messed up. Neither of my salads were chopped, the salad platter with the white fish was untouchable, and one of the Greek salads was literally just lettuce and cheese (I only requested no tomatoes or olives). So $30 later, 3 people had no lunch. When I called the manager, he told me he remembered my order and watched the lady make it so it was fine. Are you kidding me? I even sent a picture of my salad to him and he made it seem like it was my problem. I didnt even want anything, I was merely just informing them that the whole order was barely edible. It was really unbelievable how defensive he was and adamant that my order was fine. Completely useless phone call and waste of time. They can keep the money and any future service from me!
Impeccable service. Fresh bagels as well as coffee. Diligent staff with friendly smiles. Its our Saturday morning place.
Great food...but horribly slow. The person taking your order goes in the back to make your food. There could be 5 or more workers out of sight and 5-10 customers waiting with no one to help them. It would make a lot more sense if someone took all the orders, rang people up, and made coffees. Iβve waited so long too many times that Iβve seen quite a few people (and myself) get off the line and walk out. I regret going back every time I may try. Hopefully the new Boychiks in town will stay open long enough to be a viable alternative, because there is no other competition.
Iβve been here before and said I would ever go back. Well I went back. The service is horrible, everything is unorganized as far as ordering and staff and the food took FOREVER. When we FINALLY got our food, it had salt on it which we didnβt ask for and egg shells in both sandwiches we had ordered. I WILL NOT ever be back again.
They are rip off!!! They donβt even deserve a star.. worst service!! False prices on the board. They made up the prices!! They charged $65 for breakfast. 2 plater without toast, 1 bagel w cc, 2 plain Croissant, 2 muffins, 2 apple juice. For $65!! When questioned on why the prices didnβt match their board, βthatβs not the price for Christmas Eveβ. Whereβs the prices for the holiday!! Letβs see it on the board or a menu??I will report it with consumer reports!!
Good food, good service. Really like their blueberry bagels with blueberry cream cheese.
Prices have apparently changed recently... ordered a few sandwiches and bill came to $52. Apparently overcharged us by $5 and a basic bacon egg and cheese sandwich was almost $8 each- sandwich ordering you basically get one egg and anything else you want- a roll, bacon, extra egg, etc, charged start adding up.Apparently the menu online also has old, invalid prices they wonβt honor and manager said he has nothing to do with.We will be going elsewhere from now on. $7.29 is too expensive for a basic breakfast sandwich that their own menu says should be $3.85!
Horrible service and with mediocre bagels you think they would stop kissing the butts of the handful of obviously favorite customers, like the one who cut in front of me and then acted like I wasnβt there and proceed to take her order. Work in town and was my first and last visit.
Nice place. Great variety. Fast service!
Best bagels anywhere. Made old fashion way. Light and bright kept clean and sanitary.
$10 minimum on credit cards while most things in the store are less than $10. If you dont spend $10 and want to use a card they act like its the end of the world. They charge you $10 without asking and give you change.
Definitely best bagel place in Port. Pretty pricey, but so is everything else in this town.
Yummy sandwiches!
Best NY Style deli Ive been years
Excellent service and the bagels muffins as well as sandwiches are awesome. Would recommend it to everyone.RachelMount Vernon ny
Horrible food today!! Normally the food is great, but not today. Potatoes in the salad are hard, all of our orders were messed up- we ordered off the menu, no special orders and they even ran out of egg bagels at 11:30 am. WTH??
I purchased a platter of bagels for my family. 12 bagels were on this platter. The price that I paid for these bagels amounted to: $60.00This place is a rip off and unless you are rich - I do not advise going to this bagel store.
Simply put- fantastic bagels. These are true NY bagels, the quality is as good as youll find in Manhattan. Love them.
What can you say about the best bagels ever made fresh daylily.
Bagels were great and they even gave us a free muffin when we complimented their restaurant!
Best bagels around here, plus very yummy baked goods like cookies and muffins and much more. Also coffee, juices, etc. And they cater. A local favorite.
I use Let There Be Bagels for all my catering events. Such good food!!!! Fresh and high quality. I never go anywhere else :)
Best Bagels anywhere.
Who doesnt carry turkey or cheese for a bagel at 12:30pm on a Sunday? ...At a bagel store? Dont waste your time here.
They are located in my neighbor and go once a while. This morning, I was shocked to be charged $5.00 for 4 bagels (1 onion, 1 egg, 2 blueberry) and I wanted to double check if the price is still $1.00, they said blueberry bagel is different price ($1.50/ea). I bought the blueberry bagel many times in the past and it was the same as other bagels which is $1.00/ea, but they seem to have just raised price. They should state the difference on the price list. I would have chosen different kind of bagel if I knew it was 50% more price. I felt like being ripped off and it was not pleasant experience.
Great local spot! Delicious NY style bagels
If you dont know this place, youre not from Port Washington. Not as much fun as in the 90s when they had all the cute girls in town working there, but the food is absolutely fantastic, if not inexpensive.
Decent bagel shop, in par with whats in town. During the morning rush however they screwed up my order. If they were a bit more organized I could rate this place higher.
I hadan egg bagel whit veggie tuna, it was delicious!! Highly reccomend this spot
Definitely the best bagel place in Port. They have fresh made, chewy delicious big NY bagels and a variety of schmear. It gets so busy during meal hours and there tends to be long lines but the employees are quick.
Freshest and best selection of bagels and fish. Best bagels in N.Y. Nice people, too.
Food is okay, just had a bad experience with delivery. Other then that never a problem staff was always nice and place seems to be clean to the opened eye.
Best bagels in town. These bagels gave me a dependence on sugar. That said, lines are slow, its generally expensive, and they run out of egg bagels very quickly.
Bagels are fresh made there
Love this place, always go when Im in town. Long lines though, so plan your weekend visits accordingly. You cant do better in port wash!
Great bagel
Come here every time Im in Port. Great bagels, great schemer, great people!
Two sandwiches. Two drinks. TWENTY SIX DOLLARS. Overpriced and over rated. Never going there again.
BEST BAGELS IN THE WORLD - END OF STORY
