The lady in this store was very nice, i dont often give tips but i decided I wanted to, I bought some red hulk and Manga da white. The white in low doses along with caffeine has helped my performance in work, as well as it on its own, the red one has helped for sleep very well and honestly I am super surprised, I took 0 grams and was nodding out and passed out. So if i take a moderate dose ill get a consistent sleep and nothing has worked even doctors medications. The prices are not to bad but i have had cheaper kratom but the quality of this place seems unbearable. The powder was so smooth compared to the spotty krstom I have seen.Also the pictures to this place are completely wrong. The place is way cooler inside.

I grew up going to HeadEast....It was always a favorite of mine, and a lot of other peoples as well. I am sad to say, I wish it had just closed. To see an oriental express/SMC junk store calling itself HeadEast is just wrong on sssooo many levels.Sad to say, but there goes another little piece of Portlands wonderful weird gone......

I have been coming here ever since Ive been able to lol, 20+ years. its a Portland classic, I believe one of the first head shops here. Awesome staff, cool selection. They have everything! Huge selection, all kinds of cool stuff there. fun store! Huge variety of water pipes and regular pipes. Fun place to go to and browse around. every time I go there, usually I go for one thing and I leave with 10. Great pricing too. Thanks!

They will randomly close the shop for peoples lunch breaks. Dont expect the doors to be unlocked when you arrive even if its during there posted business hours. Wont waste my time here

This place is great. I love to come here for my inscents, vampire blood is my favorite and they always have it in stock. I used to shop here all the time for pipes back in the day but now mainly go there for gifty items, but their selection for smoking utensils is quality. Such a cute store and super friendly staff. Ive always had a great experience at Head East!

Been going to this store since I moved to the region and no matter how many times I move around and try to find a closer store just as good, I fail. Nobody beats Head East in my opinion. So I figure time to post a new review. Normally, theyre practically bursting with merchandise, but with COVID and everything going on, their stock is a little lacking at the moment. However, they still have everything you could need smokeshop related. Incense, decorations, gemstones. They even have good cleaning products. Fantastic prices. Friendly staff. Overall kick-a** store.

A great old style head shop

They are OPEN! Head East employees are great! They do require a mask, which I appreciate...this virus is no joke! I am in that group that is susceptible to lung issues. The employees are efficient, knowledge, and helpful. Prices are reasonable.

Glass is overpriced for the quality, check out any other shop. Literally.Bangers starting at $25.. $45 rubber grommet bongs that dont even pull and use off sized parts. All around terrible.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection. No complaints! Only 1 customer allowed in at a time at the moment.

Been here off and on for years. Visited last week and they are really stepping their game up. The darker haired woman working was so nice and patient while I looked at their oils. Love this place. Never know what you will find.

I have been going to head east ever sence i was a teenager they have a cool selection of many different items for all the heads in portland but they are having a hard time ever sence weed has been legal an u can buy pipes at many local corner stores so check them out they need our business

So far the best head shop iv been too. All staff are super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Plus they have layaway that keeps that sale price for glass that may be a little expensive at the time. Love it and thats why I keep coming back.

You never know whatyou will find there. My husband and I love going there just to look around and see what is new. Not to mention the staff there are always friendly and kind.

Tons of amazing Glass! So many different artists have there work in this shop. It took me awhile to pick something out, and then theres all the other smoking accessories. The employees were awesome! I wasnt hounded while I was looking, but once I initiated the I need help talk, I was definitely helped in every way possible :)

Great customer service.There are a lot more other things to buy than accessories for pot smoking. They have a great incense and candle selection to pick from and the different holders for them. For that and the convenient location from where I live is why I shop there.And, again, their employees are the best, and they demonstrate the meaning of genuine-good-customer service.

Best head shop in the SE been around ever since I was a little kid. Use to be an old house. If they aint got it ask they can get it.

Kratom is way over priced, can get a way better deal at Smokers Zone, that said they have a good selection of pipes and such if thats what your into.

If I remember correctly they are the oldest head shop in town. Extremely clean and spacious store.Wonderful staff. Lots of cool stuff and the last few times Ive been in, have a clearance table :)

This Shop is absolutely devine. From incense to soap stone figurines, patchouli perfumes, clothing, bags, crystal dragons and balls, beautiful tapestries, hooka supplies and so much more. There is always a huge table with all sorts of really cool marked down stuff. The Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. First time i walked into this gem of a shop i knew Id not shop for incense anywhere else again. Go peek in you wont regret it.

Hit or miss about the quality of what Im buying, sometimes it has a weird taste too? I love how theyll socialize with you though, sweet people, except for one guy, cant win them all!I used to go here all the time because of price, location, consistensy and of course their shop area with all those cool things, but I dont want to waste my time coming here just to gamble whether or not they have what I need in stock, or no longer carry it, or the quality of it.I really dont want to go elsewhere, this is my favorite shop.

Decent shop for vap & weed pipes, friendly staff, good selection of pipes, accessories, e-liquids. Prices are reasonable. They also sell a wide variety of other products making it a good place for incense, aroma therapy scents.

They have a great selection of what I wasnt looking for. and theyre expensive. I have found much cheaper smoke shops in the Portland metropolitan area.

I love this place. They have great customer service & selection. Just hoping they can order more Lock N Load pieces for EDC (every day carrying). I have gotten 5 of them there, & sent numerous people there for this specific piece. Unfortunately, after I lost my last one, they told me that they havent been able to get any more in. This is such a huge disappointment for me as this is my every day go-to piece.... 😭😭😭😭

Ive gone here several times now and dealt with different staff. They are always so welcoming and helpful here, and I feel like for a shop of this kind (you know what kind) that is the most important thing. I always come in with questions and they are knowledgeable without being condescending. Fair prices, good products and lots of variety.Do NOT judge this place by its rather shifty looking exterior. Inside its roomy with a very chill vibe. I hope to go back soon when I actually have time to spend looking around more.

This is a great location. The store has tons of glass items, as well as incense, e-vape parts and liquid, lots other tobacco accessories, like flavored rolling papers. They also have other items such as posters, curtains and decorations, ranging from basic to extreme or unique. They have been around for a good long time and have excellent, knowledgeable staff who are friendly and nice. The store manager is very friendly and helpful.

Great selection of kratom. Didnt really look at anything else so cant say much about glass etc. But with what I needed I was more than happy. Prices were a little more than other places but worth it in my opinion.

Ive been going here for the last year for my Kratom. Some of the best in the city, its worth the higher price. The owner and her employees are amazing. Friendly and helpful, they make you feel welcome and are knowledgeable about their products. Great glass selection, large inventory for smoke and vape supplies. I have no qualms in saying that this is the best head shop in Portland, hands down.

Dude that worked this a.m. is super~chill and informative. The best part(aside from his attitude), was that if he didnt know the answer to a question or did not know about a product whether they sold it or not, he would flat out tell you he did not know. I should mention that the only things he didnt seem to know were about products or companies they did not do business with and he would still not talk down about them but simply say he did not know about the product or company, he was well educated and versed in everything that they did sell....

THE classic, OG hippie SE Portland head shop, open since 1972. The maturity of the place shows, and the vibe has always been very mellow and chill whenever I go. Their products are the most affordable I can find anywhere in Portland proper, and some places beyond. Selection is always broad and well-presented. I personally love making trips for their glass pieces, wall tapestries, and incense. Been a regular patron of this business for 9 years... a business that has supported the hippie/stoner community for 47 years now. The place to go since before Mill Park was even truly connected to Portland!

This place has great prices and selection of glass pipes and paper wraps. I found myself here on a day that they were giving a discount on glass and the ladies running the place were very friendly and understanding of my needs. :)

They sell nice products so I went in to ask about a flower vaporizer. They recommended Randys ZIPP so I paid 100.00 bucks. I was excited to try it out so I rushed home to charge the battery and use it. I was impressed with the packaging and it seemed to have everything except flower. After a couple of hours charging it was ready to go. I ground up some stuff and loaded up the new toy. I turned it on and it started to heat up instantly and got to operating temp fast. I tried and tried to get some vapor to no avail. The unit got hot and the plastic tip did also but still no vapor. I emptied the unit and repacked it, Still nothing. I then tried to call Head East and see if I had a broken unit or something and the sales person told me that I would not be able to get alot of vapor from the unit. I told him that there was no vapor and if he had said anything like that to me I would not have bought it. I was thinking they would stand by the products they sell instead I was hung up on. I would not be able to recommend any of the above mentioned products or services.** Just a follow-up to my review; Summer is awesome. She helped me iron out all my issues with the Randys zipp. Shes very helpful and reached out to me and proposed a solution that was adequate. I will be going back for my glass products going forward. Summer really shines. Thank you.
