Bad business. Good that it’s gone.

Let me start off by saying we didn’t actually use this repair shop in the end but not due to dissatisfaction. We are traveling right now and due to unforeseen circumstances we not only needed a mechanic ASAP we need to get back East ASAP. After many phone calls looking for someone on a Saturday, E & A offered assistance right away. They responded quickly to us and although we didn’t use them due to a change of plans, we appreciate their help and prompt response.

Very reasonable pricing had my serpentine belt replaced by the owner today. Very quick excellent customer service car runs like a champ

So glad I found this place! The owner is very kind and honest. He gave me a fair price and was able to get me in quickly. He finished the job in one day. After I got the car home, there was a new issue but he allowed me to bring the car back that day and had it back to me later that day. He was patient explainig everything to me and made sure I understood the issue. This is for sure my new mechanic!

Had trouble looking for a quick honest repair shop and this is by far the best auto repair shop I’ve gone to. They were quick to let me know exactly what was wrong with the car. On the plus side I had my car back the same day with no issues !Amazing and affordable service!! Will be coming back for future repairs.

So incredibly happy I chose to bring my car to E & A. I was in town for Labor Day weekend and ended up having car issues on Saturday evening. I was fully prepared to leave my car at a shop over the long weekend, since most places were closed for the weekend, and have to come back to Portland to pick it up once it was finished. Not only did E & A quickly diagnose the issue and show/walk me through what was wrong with the car, they actually let me stay after business hours while they fixed my car! I can’t convey how grateful I am that I got to drive my own car home and was able to avoid a major holiday weekend car disaster while out of town. Another thing I loved is how knowledgeable they were and how they really wanted me to understand the issue with my car (bad/missed repair of an air hose by another mechanic), which I appreciate as a car novice. Really wish they had a location in Seattle but I now know where to go whenever I’m in Portland!

MISSING PARTS?? NO SIGN OF WORK COMPLETED. Told me they would do everything related to the issue. Cost me everything I owned minus clothing. Costumer service was pleasant. Wonder what else these mechs scalped.

Absolutely phenomenal service! I came from out of town to buy 2 trucks and had these guys look at both of them before purchasing. So happy with the work they did and the recommendations. They saved me about $2000.00 total cost!

I can’t say enough good things about A&E automotive. Very reasonable and took the time to explain everything to me and my husband. Definitely knows what they are doing. I really felt the warm hearted kindness and honesty in Nazier and everyone there. The mechanics are very happy and upbeat which makes everything go smooth. As busy as they are when my husband and I were there Nazier took his time and did not hurry us with any questions that we had. A very refreshing experience and awesome savings for us. 🙏 If you want a great quick and honest mechanic then A&E automotive is a great place.

They replaced both timing chains on my Ford truck at a very fair price! I had taken the truck to another shop that would not do the repair, but Nazir got the diagnostic codes from the first shop and quickly advised me to have the truck towed rather than risk major damage by driving any further. I also thought it was very cool that he made a video while the work was being done and explaining exactly what the issue was, and what needed to be done to fix it. E&A Auto Repair is extremely professional and above all, open and honest!

I was nervous going in to get my car looked at. Just as with every other car dealership and auto repair company I feel as a 20 something female all anyone sees are dollar signs.I read the reviews for E&A Auto and out of 48 reviews they had received a 28 out of 30 review. This made me feel a little more comfortable with these ratings.From the start I felt respected. I felt the owner and employees did not look down on me but presented me with a fair assessment of the issues: vacuum leak, spark plugs and spark plug wires were my issue. These basically prevented me from driving the car without it trying to die every few seconds. I had no real choice but to get it repairs. I was quoted a fair and reasonable price as per my father who is a mechanic in a different state or I would have taken it to him.I highly recommend them. A bonus is a nice lady works in the office and she had certainly added a nice femail touch to the office with warm inviting decor and scented candles and wall plugs. I didnt feel like I had entered a stinky/dirty man cave.

I simply cant recommend these guys enough.I, so far, have taken my 2004 Touareg to these guys to fix my broken headlights, and to replace a broken AC fan.Both times theyve spent considerable time diagnosing and tinkering to make sure that I only replace components that are faulty, not forcing me to replace parts that dont need to be replaced just because it would be quicker and easier.On top of which, their prices are surprisingly low. Ive been amazed, again and again, at how reasonable their charges are... especially when compared to some of their competitors.Not only that, but theyre just great people, who treat you like a friend and not a way to make money.A good, skilled, reliable, honest mechanic is a rare thing and these guys are something special.I can assure you there is nothing fake about my opinion of E&A auto repair. I will, quite literally, never go anywhere else when I need a mechanic, and Ive already started telling everyone I know to give them a try.Based on my experiences these guys are beyond highly recommended.

We were on a test drive of a used car. I called to see if they could give it a once over before we bought the minivan. They said sure. We brought it in, they took it in right away. Very knowledgeable and was able to give us a full report of how the engine had been tampered with and the check engine light had been turned off. Needless to say, we didnt buy the van. Owner also gave us used car buying tips. Great experience and wish I loved closet so I could utilize them for my regular car service. Highly recommend.

Fastest mechanic in the west

Took my 2010 Subaru in to get timing belt replaced. Nazier was great! He got me in the same day, quoted me $200 below three other mechanics, and threw in free wipers for my friend that drove me. They also have a coupon for 10% off timing belt replacements online that he honored on the spot. Super nice! Thank you so much.

Nazier is awesome he definitely helped me when I was in a tough spot. I would absolutely recommend taking your vehicle to this shop. They are not the cheapest but they are far from the most expensive.

We arrived in Portland from Duluth the day before Memorial Day around 5:00 pm. Thats when we noticed a metal to metal sound in the rear brakes. The guys at E&A stayed late to repair our brakes. Great work, great service at a fair price. Highly recommended.

Our 2000 Subaru overheated in Portland heading out to the Oregon Coast for a camping trip. Took the car to E&A for a cooling system compression test fearing the worst & they found the problem was a loose hose clamp. Took em 5 minutes to fix and they didnt even charge me for their trouble, just asked me to say something nice on the web, so ... Thanks guys! Weve put another 2k miles on your fix & were running great - stop by the next time youre in Seattle & well buy you a beer!

I visited this place because of a clutch problem on my old Honda civic. Not only they were able to schedule an appointment in the same day, but also Nazier (the owner) clearly explained what the problem was, gave me a competitive estimate for fixing it, took care of it the same day (as opposed to other shops I called that will ask “..bring the car here and we’ll see when is ready; we are kind of busy”) and the price I paid was the one in estimate. Add free rides from the shop and back, professionalism and a genuine commitment to make the customer happy. I would certainly visit them again. Most certainly recommended!

My car is giving me problems so a friend of mine recommended E&A Auto Repair to have my car check. Honestly, I don’t know much about a car but when I brought it in they were kind enough to explain to me what the problem and provided me a fair quote for fixing my car. I may have been charged more if I brought it to other service centers. Thank you for the excellent service.

By far the best automotive repair shop I have been to. The owner specializes in BMWs and Mustangs (both my favorite types of cars and the only cars I buy). I took my BMW there before I bought it to get inspected, and they were EXTREMELY thorough. He told me everything that is wrong or right with it, what Ill need to have done to it, and more.After purchasing my BMW, I took it back to him to have it serviced for the throttle body and rear differentials (common e46 issues). During the time that my car was being serviced, it was broken into (something out of their control) and my touch screen deck was stolen. However, upon receiving my vehicle, they re-installed an identical touch screen deck free of charge. I drive out of my way (I live in Tigard) to E&A Auto (right by the airport) just to have my vehicle serviced by these guys. Its hard to find a good automotive shop, and these guys are definitely better than good.

Nazier was able to inspect my car the same day I started hearing an odd whining sound. He identified the alternator issue and had it replaced and ready to pickup the next day. Super friendly and prompt service.

Came to Portland for the weekend. They were the only place that had new windshield wipers for our Land Rover, fixed a circuit board and replaced a bulb free of charge. Owner and workers were all amazing, super nice, really great people!

Excellent customer service. I ordered a new valve cover gasket, and they had one ready for me the very next day. Its done great in my car since I installed it. If I need other auto parts in the future, I will definately keep this place in mind.

Very honest mechanics. I took in my Honda Accord which seemed to be suffering from low performance and a weird surging in acceleration from time to time, and they found the problem, which happened to be loose brake rotors. They were relentless when it came to figuring out what was wrong, and they fixed and replaced everything professionally, and they charge a very fair price for their work. I will be definitely coming back if my car ever has an issue in the future.

The man who owns this shop is a bmw owner and fanatic. His guy was very thorough in his pre-purchase inspection of my 330i-Xdrive. I believe he charged me $160 for pre-purchase inspection. He then discussed with me the details of the car. I am now a customer of his for life

I will not take my car anywhere else. Nazier treated me like a friend, and made sure I understood what was wrong and what needed to be done. Went in to have gas line checked luckily nothing was wrong. Incredibly helpful in explaining what he was looking for and didnt try to sell me unnecessary service like most places. Will be back with future troubles.

Had an issue with a mechanic who has since been let go. Nazier (the owner) went out of his way to make sure that the issue was resolved and everyone walked away happy. They do a good job and make sure that the customer is pleased with the work!

Nazier really saved our bacon this morning. After missing our flight we got back to the truck to find the serpentine belt was shredded. We limped down to E&A. The door was locked. They opened the shop and had the truck fixed in less than 2 hours. He replaced the burned out headlight, too. Also, this is early on a Saturday morning.Thank you.

Great experience! Dropped my car off Monday, picked it up thursday with a fresh DEQ slip. Call before you are picking up the car to avoid a potential wait, other than that everything was perfect.

I didnt have the best experience here. My biggest issue with this garage is the arrogant skinny dude. The 1st time I was here he forgot a screw on one of the calipers. A few hours after leaving the garage, I hear a pop, & when I braked I could hear a loud grind. Ill assume thats what warped my brand new rotors.When I brought the car back the next morning, the skinny guy kept apologizing left & right. First time I talked to Nazier about it, he said something about the rotors overheating. I read online that rotors dont warp like that. 2) When I brought the car in, he test drove it and said OReillys auto parts sold me some warped rotors.Heres my point. The first time you test drove the car after repairs, there was no issues. Car didnt wobble when you braked. I also noticed every time I asked a relevant question, there was frustration on Naziers face. When it comes to money situations, I record my phone calls and/or turn my phone recorder on when in person. Its never just my word against yours. After a short while, I really didnt trust this guy.

Googled VW repair near Parkrose and E and A came up. Gave them a call and got in on Saturday which is great for me. Nasir was super friendly, accommodating, and thorough. After diagnosing my car, he shared which problems needed immediate attention and which ones could wait. I really appreciate that. Great everything there! This is my forever mechanic!

He took my poor Mercedes turbo diesel and gave it life again where all others said there was no hope. I highly recommend E&A.

(DO NOT LIE! I STILL HAVE THE RECEIPT) Had a leak on the pasengers side head gasket so i took it to e&a because they had such good reviews on google. $3000 later I received my car back and two weeks later and hardly 100 miles the car keeps overheating. So I take it back and tell them whats happening. Without hardly looking at the car he (nazier) guarantees that its the radiator and wants me to leave it. I tell him I can do that no problem so i replace the radiator and its still overheating so i take it back and he guarantees me that its the water pump and wants me to have him replace it. Again easy fix for me so i replace it and it is still overheating. I then take it to a dealership and have them look at it. And they tell me that I have leaks all over the head. So I call e&a he (nazier) tells me that its my problem and then only offers to look it over after I tell him I will report this to the better business Bureau. I decided to eat the loss instead of letting these crooks touch my GTO again. Beware, I am pretty sure these good reviews are not real.

Got my 2008 Audi A-4 s-line fixed. After I bought it from coparts, had all the body work and repair done at Alpina auto, since Im friends with the owner. Great job, only the check engine light kept coming on, and every time they scanned it, it came back with an EVAP code. Called Nazier, who was kind and patient, and I dropped off my car to see if they could figure it out. I had read so many amazing reviews online that claimed he had the best prices, and does the best work. 2 days later, got a call from Jared, who said they found the problem and ordered a part to replace the Evap hose, which was cracked. Price was $383 for part+installation. Seemed a bit pricey, and I had originally done a 3 star review, but Nazier called me and explained why it cost me that much and he really gave me the best deal he could find. Offered to give me a free oil change anytime. Nobody cares more about preserving business, keeping a sterling reputation, and maintaining customer satisfaction more than these guys do. I recommend them to anyone.
