A great DIY boatyard. Helpful staff and a competent ships store to keep you working instead of driving. Just as important is the community of fellow boaters all working on their boats. Really nice people all around.

These people are great. We have our 45ft sailboat there for haulout and winter storage, as well as some projects over the winter. Everyone has been super helpful and friendly. Looking forward to working with them for years to come!

Where do i even Start. Kristin and Dean and Everyone else down at the Marina that I have met so far have been simply amazing! I have recently purchased a boat from the marina that will need some work and even before I purchased it the out poor of support from everyone was amazing. I have not a worry in the world as the knowledge down at the marina spans over 100 years and if you have a questions someone is always willing to give you advice. You feel like you are part of the family as soon as you step through the doors. The Marina is a Full service marina No job is too large but more importantly no job is too small. They Care and that is hard to come by these days. I look forward to many long days down there working and getting to know all the wonderful staff. If you need anything boat related, this is the marina to be at!

As a veteran sailor and 35 year boat owner, I strongly warn anyone with entrusting this yard. Terrible attitude, negligent contracted winter storage care, and a mechanic who seemed to enjoy watching a boat owner’s season being considerably delayed. I understand well the challenges of boatyards handling demand, scheduling, and eccentric repair problems. There was nothing eccentric about my issues. It was strictly poor management and a mechanic I hope no one has to rely on.

First experience with a boat yard and marina and I have to say I love this place! Great place and price for winter storage. The owners Dean and Kristan treat you like family! We couldnt have picked a better place to keep our boat in a slip. We made a great choice. Thank You Yankee Boat Yard and Marina for the start of a great boating season!

We have dealt with Yankee across two generations there and the service has always been outstanding. We have bought and sold boats, had repairs and service done as well as winter storage there over the last 16 years and were always pleased with the results. The indoor storage is great, allowing easy access all winter. Reasonable prices and as I said great service. All the people there are great to do business with.

I recently had some fiberglass work and gel coat repair done on my boat. Dean did an outstanding job matching the gel coat and cutting a fiberglass ladder cover. Kristen and Eric did a great job coordinating and keeping me updated on the work being done on my boat. I highly recommend Yankee Boatyard for their quality work and reasonable price.

I have been with Yankee for five winters now and couldnt be happier with my experience. The people are very friendly and helpful, and the service is great. I have had mechanical and fiberglass/painting by them and always been very pleased with the results. I recommend them often without reservation.

All the folks at Yankee Marine do whats necessary to make their customers fell good about their choice of Marinas. When things are not right, they step up and make it right. Glad I made the choice to be at Yankee.A very well kept Marina. Thanks to Owners and staff!

I have found the owners, managers and staff are all great people to deal with and they are all customer oriented. They provide the range of services we need and they are always willing to offer helpful advice and instructions to us do it yourselfers. They get 5 stars for all of the 25 years I have been there.

Yankee boat yard and Marina is an awesome place for winter storage, dock and to have any work or Maintaince done. As a customer you become part of there family and anyone there even other customers are always willing to help. We’ve stored our boats there for the last 3+ years and have always launched our boats from there. Anytime we leave our slip and return everyone on the docks are always there to help us park. Everyone keeps an eye out for everyone’s stuff and you never have to worry about people messing with your things. The owners are always willing to lend a hand or point you in the right direction if they can not offer you assistance or help with whatever you may need. I truly enjoy going to the marina. They offer bathrooms and showers. When you use the launch there is always someone to show you where to park and give you a ride back to your boat. The pump tanks and sell gas with reasonable prices and great hours with someone always there to help you. If you are looking for a place that is on the CT river in the middlesex area Yankee boat yard and marina is definitely the place I would recommend. Thank you Dean and Kristen for making it an enjoyable place to be and to the staff and customers for always being there to lend a hand and help.

I been visiting Yankee Boat Yard & Marina since the Bourbeau Family purchased it in the early 1980s and joined as a club member since the last five years. Dean, his family and the boat yard staff are courteous and kind have always treated me like family. They have showed above reproach with all my servicing and boating needs. I highly recommend thier family marina to anyone interested in becoming a loyal marina club member. Their servicing, repair, paint shoppe, storage, show room, in house store shopping facilities are State of The Art. They offer out standing help and guidance to all of us as club members when we work on our boating projects. We have a picnicking area, restroom/shower convenientses, power, water, Cable-TV/internet actess at all the floating docks, bio waist and trash disposal for our use.Water and power access at all heated/cold storage building(s)/ land storage sites to use as we work on our boating projects throughout the year. We have a fuel oil/gasoline- Fuel Dock and belong to an outstanding family owned marina they operate for us, thank you Dean and Kristen for working to make our recreational experience great.

That was not a good Marina to bring your boat bad service they cant even paying the bottom of the boat properly even my trailer have pain all over and spots in my boat were not even painted

Had an amazing experience with paddle boarding. Kristen is so kind and helpful.

The bad-5$ more this year than last, and they havent filled the gigantic holes on the boat launch. The good- Very friendly and never wait too long to get in the water.

This yard is undergoing change. We are looking forward to seeing upcoming changes.

Yankee boat yard has turned out to be a gem of a find. For those of us that want a mix of reasonable rates, great facilities and resources Yankee and the staff are a great find. The trip up the river as long as timed with the current is very easy and navigable. Add that the area is less prone to some coastal weather effects and again great choice. Getting to Portland if you dont have a car requires buses from Hartford (connecting with Mega bus) to adjacent Middle Town or Uber/lyft to train etc. Have met many great fellow sailboat folks and again the staff is very accommodating. Very glad I found YBM.

They are the most helpful boatyard I have ever been in around the world,I come here from the UK every year for 6 months or more.Prices are very reasonable just do a few comparisons
