I probably cant say enough good things about this butcher shop. Fresh meat, cut right in front of me. Very fair prices. Parking in back available. Place is spotless clean. Incredibly helpful staff/owners, just fantastic overall experience. Im happy to drive and spend my money here supporting this small, beautiful business.

Rotten meat market! Picked up 3 lbs of ground beef and when I got home I kept smelling a rotten food smell in my refrigerator. Puzzling since all the food in the fridge was brand new. Went to go make burgers and yep the smell was coming from the ground beef I just picked up and it STUNK. How can I you trust a meat market that sells rotten meat!? Never again. Plan on taking the meat back to them but they dont open again for another 2 days. Dont know if I want to hold on to this smelling meat another 2 days to return it...

Finally visited Casons, as they are just down the street from us, and we were blown away by the selection, the prices, and the service! Cant recommend going here enough. They were incredibly helpful and their prices beat the grocery store. They were also following Covid protocols and the shop felt very safe to visit. Highly recommend a visit! We cant wait to go back.

Great buying experience! Such a great selection of meats. I called a little before they opened, put my order in, and then received a call after it was packaged up and priced. I paid over the phone, so when I arrived, I just gave my name and the gentleman working the register grabbed me my bag and I was all set. We cannot wait to cook up the meats we purchased!

Oh my gosh! So good! Got 3 marinated T-bones for my sons birthday. They were so tender, they nearly fell off the bone! Well definitely go back.

Excellent selection of all the meats we were looking for. The ox tails were super large and not covered in fat. We also bought ham hocks, baby back ribs, and steak. The service was excellent.

Best steaks in town! Get a marinated rib-eye and throw it on a hot grill. Your friends will love you forever. Excellent price for very nice lamb as well. Theotis and BJ are my go-to butchers!

This place is awesome and the staff are extremely friendly. I went in to buy some pepperoni for a dish I make one to two times a year, and the place I normally go to stopped carrying the pepperoni I always buy. I couldn’t be happier for that accident! Their pepperoni was awesome and I got better reactions from people over this dish this year, than I have in previous years. And the pepperoni was specifically commented on. Thank you so much I will definitely be coming back for my meat needs in the future!

Staff was on point greeted me when I enter the store!! ..They let me take my time before I made my selection! Very vice group of folks. Yes I will return. I purchased Ox tails another meat. I was thinking if mother purchase them. Stay tune for cooked Ox tails and dice white potatoes...

These guys are so wonderful! It was late Friday afternoon when I called them in desperate straits. I had just gotten off work and was heading to another butcher shop to pick up a standing prime rib roast for a Saturday celebration dinner. When I got there, it had closed an hour earlier than usual. PANIC! I tried Google Maps for other butcher shops near me and one of the suggestions was Casons. Ive never shopped there before, but I was desperate, so I called and asked if they had any prime rib roasts with the bone tied on. They didnt, but they had rib roast - also the person on the phone said they were about to close. I begged him to stay open for 10 more minutes until I could get there. He said OK. So I rushed there and ended buying a whole 7-rib roast. Even though at first glance I wasnt too happy that there seemed to be little to no cap on the roast, it turned out beautifully, was tender, juicy and tasted great. Thank you Casons Fine Meats for making customers # 1! I will be seeing you again, before closing time!

Ill start this by saying Ive been a repeat customer of Casons for the two years Ive lived in Portland and have never had a bad experience until now. I always go there to get pork spare ribs cut into pieces to make pork sinigang and its never been an issue. After a series of events this week, I ended up paying the price of baby back ribs when the meat I was getting was spare ribs, which is a significantly less expensive cut of meat (hence why I wanted it). The meat they sold me had been sitting in their walk-in cooler, cut and in a plastic bag tied shut for three days when they sold it to me. When I got home later that day and opened the meat to cook it, it already smelled like rot. My housemate was a butcher for many years and confirmed the meat was too far gone. The whole experience was really unfortunate and I’m surprised at the customer service both myself and my housemate got in the shop, which was so far from the pleasant encounters of the past.

Friendly good people that were incredibly welcoming. Sold out of the bone in rib eye but the fillets were great and got a back of fresh wings to boot.

Ive shopped with Cassons for years. Where ever they went, Id find out. There service is great and the quality is outstanding. They also have fair pricing which is also a plus. The atmosphere is great because of the people that work there make you feel like family. I could go on but then Id have to start my shopping list over again.

They Sell meat packs and they are amazing filled with pork, beef, chicken all kinds of cuts. Just finished cooking up some beef stew meet cant wait to get in them sausages next. You all need to buy you meat from here for you next meal.the steak selection is choice as well the ribeye I got from there was juicy and grilled up perfect.

The Owner is great. Four generations of family goodness is obvious by the clean store and the owner was outside and offered me a food box even though I was in a car and had never been in his store. I had to know more so we parked and I went back in and enjoyed the friendly attitudes prompt friendly service and great food. I had to go spend my money here instead of getting a free lunch but the genuine pride in family ownership and quality of product is clear. I loved the food I had some ribs and chicken with tice side. UhhhhhhM YUM the Mac and cheese is THE BEST.

I bought all sort of meat at the being of the adventure that we are all on. The beef stew the best I ever had. My family and I loved the county spare ribs. Hamburg great. I am,starting to run low. I will be back.

Baby back ribs werent baby backs. Poor quality 🍖meat in a sealed bag like at Wal-Mart and way to expensive.

We tried Cason’s for the first time last week. The meat we purchased was hands-down the best cuts we have had since moving to Oregon (We are from the midwest and we are pretty serious about our cuts). I wished I would have found them sooner. Nonetheless, we are happy to have found our butcher moving forward. Fair pricing, delicious food, and warm and friendly customer service. I ordered some breakfast sausage and also had some amazing boneless ribeye that I picked up from Casons the other day. Incredible cut. I will definitely be going back. Mr. Cason knows what hes doing as hes been in the industry since he was eight. He cares about the community. Hopefully he will be here for a long time providing quality meats to the neighborhood. Ive been looking for a great local butcher shop, its safe to say this is it.
