Im from the Oregon Coast and I wanted to ensure that the final price that was discussed over the phone was going to be within my loan amount which I communicated at the beginning that I needed to stay within my budget.The staff at this location were being unprofessional dodging questions and passing me off to other people working there. I was willing to purchase over the phone for the set price we agreed...but they kept beating around the bush and not clearly communicating solutions to the questions asked. I was clear about my needs and the conversation kept going in circles. I wanted to know if we had a deal or NOT, and the children there couldnt provide me with an answer.

Since I had no idea what I was doing or how anything work, I was so scared going in to get my new car. I went in with a tight budget and a trade in. I saw the car ive been wanting for a while but it was slightly out of my price range and I was so sad, but Sergio and Luis did everything they could to help me get it. The employees at Gauge are genuine and easy to relate to. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience buying my first car, especially with how easy they made it for me. They made it so stress free and surprisingly fast, no sitting there for hours like other places. My family has gotten a lot of cars from them and have never had an issue with the cars. I trust Gauge and the cars they sell, they are the only ones I can say that about.

And he knew everything about all the cars and gave his personal preference to some also. And helped me with car insurance that night so Id be able to drive it home that night too! The staff who works at this dealership made me feel really UNCOMFORTABLE and not respected. I wanted to surprise my husband with the truck of his dreams but once we started talking numbers their tone ( the staff) turned super negative because I said I needed to THINK about it...they made me feel pressured and persisted I had to make a decision immediately. They called me back multiple times during the day of our initial conversation trying to discuss the situation, but when I said I was uncomfortable discussing the transaction further they kept pressuring me to commit to a sale.

Our experience: My GF daughter wanted a 2012 mini cooper. Gage auto sales had it listed at $9967. This is the Average price for mini of that year & make. Test drive went great. 1st sales person said yes to some things we negotiated but the sales manager said no and pushed a 3k after market warranty. So we left. They called daughter back multiple times and agreed to the original 1st sales person offer. She bought somewhere else.

Called and spoke with Luis about a truck we wanted to take a look at. Before driving out there I told him our budget and where we would need our monthly payment to be. He was upfront and honest and believed he could deliver everything we were asking for. I’ve heard this a million times before, but my gut told me to trust him. Not helpful, they claim to help first time buyers get a great vehicle but put you in crappie vehicles tell you make payments on time for 6 months to a yr, then go back to trade up which is a lie because they get you a APR so high that you cant get out of it until its paid off.

My wife and I went to go look at a Tacoma that was here at Gages. The gentleman that came out and greeted us was amazing! Friendly, listened to us, and no pressure kind of guy. Test drove the truck, liked the truck so we went in and decided to get the numbers for this truck since we were paying cash. First red flag, when he was writing the papers up he said oh yeah that’s the “internet price”, original price was almost $42,000.00! Which there “special” it was marked at $36,460. My wife or I never seen anything stating that price was the internet special, where most ads state internet price. Then Sergio comes out and gives us the total, which was able to happen but we had to add tax into that being from Washington. We told him we only had 39 thousand and that was it, that was with taxes and all fees. He came out with another piece of paper coming up with 40,164. We stated that wasn’t going to work but if you can drop the price 700 dollars we can make that work. He came back and told us no. We were like oh ok well we will keep looking cause we can’t do that. He then stated as we were leaving well maybe go down the street and put your money in a lotto machine and maybe you will get lucky and win the extra money. That’s professional? . We left, he called and said well I re did the taxes and it comes to 39,889 something like that. I was like well that’s better, but still over we can’t do that. Hung up the wife and I talked looked at the car fax, which they are 1300.00 over and KBB was over as well. I called Sergio back, and said hey can you guys come down 300 bucks on the truck I can make the rest work. He told me the owner, the finance manager, and everyone there said absolutely no wiggle room in this truck. I tried to tell him 1: there is no internet special on the truck that’s what they had it listed for 2: Way overpriced for the truck itself. He told me that no the truck was not overpriced that he could actually get 45,000.00 from the bank right now for the truck, I was like there is no way that a bank would finance that for over KBB.he would not listen to a word I was saying, assuming cause I’m a female and don’t know anything apparently, but trust I know a lot about financing this is not my first time, and I have family that is loan managers. I know sometimes you can make it happen but seriously almost 9,000 over there asking price no get out of here. Then my wife started to look back at there post for the truck. Remember the price for the truck was a 4th of July internet special. No buddy please try again, you had this truck posted in June at the same price. I will include the ads in this. The whole thing of this is don’t ever try to look at females like they don’t know what they are doing or talking about, don’t disrespect anyone, and if you are a big car sales company and you can’t take $300 of the sale of truck then you are not worth my money. If you want to be scammed then this is your place. Everything was a lie I would cover your tracks a little better, after all we are females and look into things before you ever thought of doing it. On a side note found a newer Tacoma, lower miles, and completely clean for less then what they wanted.

I bought a 2016 jeep renegade from Sergio on my way home a lot of things started happening I called him right away and he promised me that he would make things right him and big John. So when I got home to Coos Bay I took it to the jeep dealer had them look over my jeep see what was wrong with it send them the quote to gauge auto to Sergio like he said because he sent me a text saying that he promised me he would make things right and he has never got back to me but he told me he didn’t like them quotes that his boss Jeremy said that wasn’t gonna happen last time I talk to Sergio he was at a funeral in Georgia and he said that he would get right back to me never has my husband has called him 22 times we have left messages this is not right they sold me a lemon I need answers

We worked with Jason and he was great! He was funny, friendly and relatable! Not once were we pressured to purchase a vehicle there. The environment was great and they all seemed like they cared about our experience! I work at a dealership myself so I was really looking to see how this place would differ from my work. I appreciate the honesty (hopefully!) and would come back again. The only thing I would recommend is to have a dealership warranty for 3 months/3k miles (something I am familiar with) on all used vehicles (yes I declined the ext warranty on my vehicle). This would have made me feel more comfortable and relaxed with my purchasing experience knowing they would have my back on the Volvo we purchased. With that being said, great job Gage Auto Sales.

Was in the market for a car for a few weeks before winding up over at gage. After a few phone calls with Jason and Sergio I knew I was gonna get treated fairly by them and get the most out of my budget. I went in there not knowing what to buy but wound up with something Im more then happy with after the fact! Was stuck there for roughly 6 hours due to insurance issues but they kept me motivated and on task to get everything said and done that day. Had the best experience at Gage Auto! I was referred by a friend and was not disappointed! I spent all day with Luis driving several cars, because I had no clue what I wanted. He was polite and had good conversation throughout the whole time, and never once pushed. When he showed my the one that I ended up buying, I was still hesitant due to it being more than money that expected. But it had everything I wanted and was newer and less miles. All for the better. Sergio was friendly and very kind with my current situation and between him and Ron, got me into the car with gap and a 3 year warranty below my max payment. I found a car I was interested in on cars.com and called Gage Auto to ask some questions. I spoke with a salesman named Grant who answered all of my questions. I had a bad experience with another dealership so Grant took down all of my information to see if I could be approved for financing before I went down there to drive the car. It took a few hours but I did a test drive that evening and loved the car. Overall my experience at Gage Auto was wonderful. There were no false promises about their ability get me financed and they even allowed me to do a lower down payment of $500. I would recommend Gage Auto to anyone, they will work with you on financing and Grant was a great salesman who didnt try to upsell me or put me in a car I didnt like.

I went to buy a car from these guys, I was referenced by a family member that previously purchased a vehicle there so I figured if they had a good experience I would. Turns out they try to force a down payment out of you and dont keep their word on where it goes. Because I lived out of state, he tried to force an extra $2500 for a down payment and said it was for the taxes, but that can be put in to a loan easily. So I didnt need to put up a down payment they just wanted extra to out towards a car. All in all, not a great experience, and they spoke over me and werent very helpful.

BEWARE! bought a range rover 2008. The sales side was great, very nice people, swearing who much better they were than the next down the road.They said it was in great condition. I looked over it and all seemed good. It took one day for the transmission to blow up. I replaced valves and solenoids on the mechatronics unit and still not fixed. Its gonna cost another 5 thousand dollars to fix and I still havent made the first payment. I drove it 45min on test drive...all was good.....it failes at 4th gear after being driven for just over 45min. No way this dealership didnt know the issue existed. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM !!

As Sales Manager, Sergio is obviously at the top of his game. His sales staff are friendly and helpful even if theyre working with other customers. There was no hard-close, soft-close or anything similar. Sergio took the sticker price posted in the ad and on the windshield, deducted $1000 and wrote that figure down. He looked at me and all he needed was a smile(I had been prepared to pay the full sticker price).
