Stay away from this place.I asked for and bought their most commonly purchased standard white subway tile. Jacob strongly recommended an extra box because our project was on the edge of needing more and if we did need more it could delay our project by a week or more.Placed our order and a couple days later it was ready for pick up. All our tiles were already in town. Finished the job had two boxes of basic white subway tile left over. Yes, the receipt said custom tile order and cant be returned. But these were already in town. There was nothing custom about these tiles.Went back to the store and politely asked to return them. The older guy, manager I assume looked up the order and said no those were a custom tiles and cant be returned. I said they were already in town they werent custom. He immediately escalated his tone of voice to highly defensive and patronizing. He had the audacity to compare buying these tiles to buying pizza. If there is a comparison tat all these tiles are a frozen pre-made pizza from the grocery store not in any way a custom MOD pizza. The factory did not make a special run of these tiles for my job.I didnt even try returning the extra bull nose and corner pieces. Only two boxes of unopened basic white subway tile. The worst customer experience Ive dealt with in a long time. Do not waste your time at Color Tile.

I live just down the street, and had never been here! A massive selection of tiles and click flooring. We went to look for back splash tiles, but found a better deal on our click flooring. Great local spot!

We went to them on a recommendation. Didn’t check around. Very aggressive and poor communication skills. Incredibly inflexible on installation dates. Couldn’t do the carpet job in one day. So they split the installation job up over three weeks!! So we had to live out of a pod for an extra month. Also, we did purchase our quartz countertops elsewhere. Same exact quartz and we got it for $1,200 less and no attitude. Buyer beware and check around first.👍

Not terribly surprised with some of the reviews. Called up with a few questions and immediately got the What is it you want? in a highly aggressive tone. Needless to say; if you cant communicate, maybe pick a different line of work.

Great experience at Color Tile PDX... Dont get lost in the showroom (special order area), the overstock/clearance room has plenty to offer you.

Large selection of floor coverings and tile, many in stock, and more readily available. Clean, well-lit, well- organized, low traffic showroom. Covid measures in place. Friendly, patient, knowledgeable staff. Across from Walmart on SE 82nd.

Going back soon to take something back to store but I. Like theres tiles i bought today they have a 30days money 💰 return

This store is the GEM of 82nd ave! Better products than Home Depot and they have a lot of it in stock or locally available. Affordable prices and a great selection! They are great guys to work with.

Best thing we ever did was go to color tile!!!Because of a different counter top finding a backsplash was proving difficult...found it right off at Color Tile..They got it fast, install was fast and painless..we will go back for the later jobs we will need done.Should have gone their first..I have the wood floors to prove their work is great....!!!Thanks Color Tile !!!

I had a great experience at Color Tile on 82nd. My wife and I arrived roughly 2 weeks ago in GO-MODE. We needed carpet the following Tuesday (installed/with a decent pad) for our rental property. They offered a great selection of stock Go-Tos for fast, affordable installations. I was very pleased after getting 3 different quotes to see my local Color Tile come in 1st, especially with the quality of material we selected. The young man that helped us thoroughly explained the differences between carpet fibers, and ultimately led us to our perfect stain-proof carpet. So happy we chose Color Tile.

Alex has helped me through my design process. Color Tile has an excellent collection. I was overwhelmed and needed assistance. Grateful for his knowledge of their collection and listening ear when it came to what i was looking for. Excited for the new bathroom! In a world of automation I really appreciate the customer service i received.

On point! A good friend recommended we go see Alex at Color Tile when she heard about our 1900 restoration and remodeling project in Oregon City. Couldnt have asked for anything more. Alex has paid special attention to our needs, no matter how many times we had to change it up and even going out of his way to get what we want when we need it! They have a wide selection and the knowledge to back it up and help narrow it down. When Alex is out, Oliver and John have stepped right in to ensure were taken care of!

Very friendly and helpful guys here who know their products and have some good suggestions for styles and colors. We went specifically for wall tile, but they have lots of flooring options there too (not just tile, as their name might suggest).

Color Tile is the best place in town for all your flooring needs. We went everywhere with no luck. Walked into Color Tile to find friendly, helpful staff, and exactly the tile I wanted at the price I was looking for. It came in exactly when they promised it. Love this place!

Agree with the rest of the reviews - save yourself a lot of hassle and go somewhere that you will get proper customer service. If the store is a mess and the employees are lazy it shows how your job will go, trust me I will never shop here again and now I will get my condo tile with Innovative tile

Saturday 8/25/18 12:30 pm. After the younger male employee helped another customer he left the store (for lunch?). The remaining Possibly30ish male employee was the only worker in the entire warehouse at the time we were there. We were in the showroom for approximately 30 minutes and no one came up to help us. we had to search for the one employee who was in the store because he was in the office area sitting down and appeared to be playing on his phone When we found him and leaned over to get his attention thru the office window, he called out from his chair what do you need? He seemed aggravated by our request for help. When we asked for prices he listed them off so quickly that we couldnt even write them down. When we asked for him to repeat the information he seemed irritated. Upon this brief interaction he immediately left and returned to his chair. We were quite unhappy with the service but what can you expect when it doesnt seem like anyone was there to hold him accountable.

I was very pleased with the service and selection at this store. Oliver went above and beyond his normal duty. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience buying tile and quartz countertops for our kitchen remodel. They let us check out several samples, so we could select the materials we wanted, and the prices turned out to be very reasonable, as well. The countertop fabrication and installation could not have gone better, especially considering the odd shapes of our kitchen layout. We worked with Alex who Id definitely recommend to anyone. He did a great job of coordinating our purchases and installations and keeping us informed through the whole process.

My wife and I had never worked with tile before, and our builder sent us out to get some for a shower we were putting in our home. After becoming overwhelmed and mentally exhausted at a big name home repair store, we happened upon the Portland Colortile, where we met Alex. He took us under his wing, helping us figure out design ideas and then picking out the right materials for the job. Alex went above and beyond the call of duty, even reassuring us that the multiple boxes of materials that we had picked out were going to cost much less than we were dreading (he was right!). Our Colortile experience was wonderful, and we heartily recommend them!

This place is tired, dark, dirty and depressing. The checked-out employee couldnt answer the simplest questions such as what tile to use to cap the edge of the countertop and just resorted just stared at us in abject silence. This place is pointless.

This review would be zero stars if I could do that. I had Colortile install kitchen backsplash tile they provided from Daltile. The installer did a poor job installing the tile. It was not straight with variations of up to 5/8 inch in one of the 4 foot sections. Jon, from Colortile, came out to see it and said the tile installed according to industry standards and there was a manufacturer defect causing the problem. He would only suggest that I contact the contractor board to pursue it. I did so and was told there is no industry stand for tile not installed straight. I contacted the manufacturer (Daltile) and sent them pictures of the job. They indicated there was no manufacturer defect. I went back to Jon and he suggested I go after the installer. My contract was with Colortile for the installation, not the installer. Colortile was only interested in getting paid and would not do anything to help with the problem. I would not recommend them for any installation since they dont stand behind their work.

Im replacing my kitchen counter tops. I have been looking for cap tiles for the edges with little luck. Although they were not in stock, Alex was able to order them.

Color Tile really saved me on my carpet remodeling project. Installing all our bedrooms and a hall way in record time. Just 5 days, from the day I signed a contract, Bravo!

Very poor customer service. Walked in and waited 15 minutes for someone to show up. Employee was hanging around in bathroom. Before I had a chance to even mention the reason for my trip I was rudely told my car was not parked properly.

Customer issue was not resolved in a professional manner.
