Cosube is a chic surf-themed store and coffee shop! The barista surprised me by making a fantastic latte art—a lovely bear—which made my day! Decent coffee and great service. There are several benches outside so I enjoyed my coffee while sitting outdoors getting some fresh air.

These guys have one of my favorite breakfast burritos in town. Ive been impressed with their customer service and the food is unbelievably good. Really cool surf shop as well.

This place is not set up to actually do business. I came here for what would have been my second board repair but left after 25 minutes of what I can only call confusion (the same thing happened last time I visited)…While the repair work is good and the turnaround time is decent, it’s like pulling teeth to drop your board off here. The staff has no idea what is going on, how to help…multiple calls made to the manager on both occasions to clarify process (which is literally, drop your board off and sign a comprehensive release). How hard can this be? I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if there were more than two people in the store, and I certainly didn’t feel good about leaving my board there.

The barista’s are both super sweet and do a great job. The avocado toast is soooooo good and I love the rose cardamom latte.

Best wetsuit rental in Portland and perhaps the Northern Oregon coast. These guys have become my go to spot to recommend whenever a friend needs to rent a suit- they are great quality and a decent thickness for a great price and timespan. Some rental places on the coast will charge up to $80 for a suit that would barely be warm enough in California. Cosube does not skimp and I really appreciate this. This store is definitely just as much about the coffee and the clothing/ lifestyle wares on offer as it is about surfing (they have a very limited selection of suits and boards from what I’ve seen) but everything they carry is of good quality and they have a very well-rounded selection of things on offer so it’s likely that you’ll be able to find what you need here. I really like that they have a coffee and good menu, it’s nice to be able to grab something to eat/drink before and after renting a wetty. The staff are always super friendly and helpful too. I really appreciate having a store like Cosube in Portland (vs having to drive out to Lake Oswego or the coast every time I need something/ ordering online).

Beautiful space, friendly folks, delicious beverages. Small selection of surf boards and accessories as well as lifestyle apparel for men and women. Looks like they used to offer board shaping classes, but those are suspended during the pandemic. Either way, definitely a cool place to check out.

This is a great place to get a few hours of work in!- Theres a lot of seating inside with huge (I mean like 15 ft tall), tinted windows- The WiFi is really fast (~45 down / ~30 up)- There are few power outlets scattered around the place- They have a massive selection of food and drinks to keep you energized throughout the day- Good music playing all the time, and its not too loud

Awesome threads. I would sleep in my hoodie if I didn’t have to take it off to wash it occasionally. Also good to know that there are real life human beings running this shop, not just robots in a warehouse filling boxes.

Traveled to Portland and had beer at this place. Asked him to recommend brewery and restaurant. He was super nice! Beer was good as well. Will back when I come back to Portland.

Do not buy clothes here! Bought a XL shirt for 75$, went in to exchange it for a Large 1 hour later. Was told the system would not allow it and that I could not exchange. They have a 30 day return policy, so that was unacceptable to me. The lady working was frustrated with me because there system did not work. Telling me “ you could have tried it on before you bought it”. She ended up calling the owner and he tried to fix the problem remotely. I was in the shop for over a half hour while they tried to fix it and finally the girl said, “ my boss can’t figure out why it’s not working, we will just exchange it and fix it in the morning.” Making me feel bad for exchanging/ making anyone wait for that long is unacceptable and shameful.Edit: Response from owner is a complete lie except that I exchanged a shirt.

There is no cooler shop in Portland. There is no better feeling then sitting next to good friends, new friends and strangers in this wonderfully perfect surf shop sipping a coffee or beer and trying to decide which 3 items to purchase out of the 10 you want...the answer is to have another beer and buy them all!

So this is a surf clothing shop with a coffee bar inside with some food... And a cooler with drinks and beers actually LOLCoffee shop is awesome...the fact that you can crack a beer is awesome...but the clothing shop isnt a traditional chill surf shop. More expensive clothing and more fancy. I picked up a basic lightweight sweater shirt and it was $110... Sticker shock with most items i looked at.what is nice is that they have a shaping room for making surfboards that you can rent out or that you can take a class to learn how to make surfboards in which is awesome. They bringing legit surfboard shapers the teach for our classes for a good price. Great thing to have here in pdx for all the cali surfer transplants.

Great coffee/surf/beer shop! I moved away from Portland to Southern California…so I no longer get to enjoy the coffee or beer in person…but CoSuBe is still my “go to” spot to online shop for really cool clothing finds.

Coffee surf and beer we had a great coffee and even a great wine for the opening from the POP UP STORE from outer known.

This place checks all the boxes: fantastic coffee and bites, super cute clothes and accessories, a rad vibe, and the friendliest staff. Cant say enough good things!

Nicest staff in the world. Ive bought a board from here as well as other bits and bobs like clothes. They always go above and beyond, and chuck in a drink for free. Proper good shop, proper good people.

Cosube is such a great shop! Everyone there from the barista to the owner are super friendly and very helpful. Alex helped me pick out a wetsuit and gave me helpful advice on sizing. It is a great store with a relaxing vibe. My dog is also allowed to come inside so that is always a huge plus! :) I will be back soon!

This place is great! Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, and plenty of seating. Coffee is high quality: Ive had the cappuccino and iced latte and have loved them both. Cosube also serves cold beer on tap. Theres a great selection of high quality surf gear, including boards, board shorts, shirts, and other beach apparel. Highly recommend!

The coffee is fine. Nothing special about it.But when Cup and Bar and Crema are within walking distance it is best to pass this place up.The food isn’t that great either.The space is shared with a surf retail store which has some fun and cute items.Overall it is overpriced for an “ehh” experience.

Love this place! they have everything youre looking for in a surf shop plus awesome coffee/beer and retail section. excited to rent a wetsuit and board and get out to the coast this summer! the staff is super knowledgeable and they have a great selection of boards and gear. love that they open so early so you can go there before heading out to the beach.

I found this place by searching for surf shops on google. This is a Coffee Shop that sells beer and clothing and about 5 surf boards. You will not find what you are looking for if you are looking for a surf shop The side of the building says cold water surf. I feel that I was misled and I could have saved a 35 minute drive across town if they would just say this is a coffee and clothing store with a few surfboards. I bet the coffee is great and the clothes are cool if not a tad expensive for me. Nothing against the quality of the store, but I believe this place is mislabeled.
