Donuts were great. Stop there for sure. So many great choices.
My wife normally loves CoCo donuts, so picked a dozen premium donuts for her family this morning. Got 3 Boston creams (Bavarian cream) as part of the dozen…but all 3 were not filled with anything. Fairly disappointing. I’ve never actually had that happen before at any donut shop. And when I called to let them know, all they said was “Sorry.” Disappointing customer service this time around. Hopefully next time is better.
I love this place. It really has the best donuts and the staff is always incredibly warm and friendly. Sunshine in particular is a great asset to the shop and I always look forward to seeing her when I get my weekly coffee and donut. Were lucky to have both her and the shop in our community.
Smaller selection of donuts and coffee, but they are really good!
The service here is wonderful. If you are in a rush just call them to keep your order ready especially in the early mornings they keep it ready for you!! I absolutely recommend this place and they are customer focused, friendly and great quality. They have happy hour as well.
We visited Coco Donuts in the late morning and most the donuts had been bought out. The employee said that they had been unusually busy, so maybe thats not a frequent thing. As a consequence, there werent a lot of donuts to choose from.BUT the donuts that were there were quite good, and the employee/staff was extremely pleasant and had good customer service. The lavender coffee and Thai tea were good as well. Overall Im still pretty pleased with my experience at this donut shop.
Ive been going to this coffee shop for about a year now. The service has always been consistent, but the best part is how personalized it is. I occassioanlly get coffee for my coworkers as well, and she knows each of us by name and our order. Even today I didnt know what to get for one of my coworkers, but she did. Thank you for all the coffee Sunshine!
I’ve been stopping by this place for quite some time now and the donuts are great with good prices to match, especially since I buy for my company, so it’s always in multiple dozens. Service is great whenever I get this thin blonde girl, given that I’ve only seen like 2 workers over the past year or so. The other boy is very nice too, I might be a little biased since they never have donuts when he’s working, somehow. Anyway, it would be 5 stars if they had a good selection. It seems that whenever I’ve walked in for the past 3 months, I’m always told that they never had their “premium” donuts delivered, which means that they have an extremely low amount of fritters, cinnamon twists, some other donuts, and absolutely zero mochi donuts. Does that mean these donuts have sat since yesterday? It only seems to happen when this one guy is working and I’ve been super confused about it. Is the other girl a manager who does all the deliveries? In any case, great place to go to, just don’t expect to see the donuts you want, then you won’t be disappointed when you go and will be surprised and happy to see what you want… if they get they’re order, that is. 5 stars for service, price, and quality, minus 2 stars for never having “premium” donuts anymore.
I used to really love going here, and during the pandemic they were using all the precautions which I love! But now (while still in the pandemic and with herd immunity still not in place because not even 70% of Oregonians are vaccinated) the barista isn’t even wearing a mask! Vaccinated or not, it shows that other customers can come in without and mask and who knows if they’re vaccinated. Just disappointed and shows that they don’t really care about their customers or their health. It’s not that hard wearing a mask.
My favorite donut place. The service is always top notch and between the drinks/donuts, always gonna keep coming back! Sunshine is an amazing barista and 90% of the reason I show up.
I would buy gift cards there sometimes for my very good friend Glen, that pass way last year,he really loved there donuts and milk, plus they would put outside there front door at closing sometimes 1 or 2 box of left over donuts for the homeless and they gave me a few free boxs to take home for me and glen I would I try to give some to people walking down the st.or others who live at glens apt.blvd.The Employees are very nice, polite great fresh soft donuts. Must go see #5 stars up.
Great donuts, some of the best in town. Try the mochi donuts!
Went in to a maskless employee talking to a maskless customer about how they cant wait to be at 70% of the population vaccinated because then no one can force them to wear a mask. I dont live in Portland so I wont be going back doesnt carry much weight but suffice to say it wont be on my recommendations list
I love this place! The barista is vaxxed and following the CDC guidelines if you are also vaxxed. Some other people are getting mad that they didn’t read the signs posted saying you still need to wear a max if you are not vaxxed. It’s not hard.
I dont normally like donuts but this place is an exception. Great customer service and great flavor!
Post covid reviewGreat donuts especially now that Blue Star has mostly closed down. I really liked their strawberry frosting it is excellent. Go and buy their donuts and patronize them!
Raspberry jelly filled. Do it
Good quality donuts, was a bit rushed on completing my order, I asked what a premium dozen meant and got no explanation. They do however have a reward system.
Sunshine goes out of her way to make everyone visit a. Up lifting experience when they come to the shop
If you don’t want your donuts to be too sweet, you definitely need to try their collection!
Great donuts and the latte was pretty good
My favorite donut spot in Portland! They have the best texture and flavors, including lavender and mochi donuts. The store is always clean and the staff is friendly. Can’t beat their prices too.
Best darn buttermilk bars eva
Laid for parking to grt in and find they only had 5 individual donuts left at 9am
I truly believe this is THE best donuts I have ever had o.o Delicious but definitely not healthy :O If you dont mind the wheat and milk in these its a great cheat day option!
Great donuts! Warm friendly service.
Great coffee and even better donuts!!!
Best donuts in town
Their best seller is their maple bar, but the lavender glazed and apple fritter were heavenly as well. Their espresso is also amazing. The fall spice latte and gingerbread latte were perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and topped with beautiful latte art. There are no chairs, so you stand at a bar by the window and enjoy the street view, but its cozy enough to make it work.
Awesome and sweet owner/ operator
Such a friendly staff and very helpful! They suggested the cake donut with peanuts and wow! Amazing. Quiet and a good place to work.
These Donuts are quite good if you want solid Classic Donuts in classic flavors. Definitely more economical than Voodoo or Blue Star Donuts, but gourmet donuts these are not. The grease kind of coats the roof of your mouth and has a slightly oxidized flavor to it imo.
Yum!!! These donuts are so good.
Tasty and affordable 😋
Best place for donuts around. 2nd to none
They give you a donut hole with your coffee. Delicious little morsels. The coffee beans are great. One of the best local roasts Ive had. Must try.
They are delicious so get here early. Once they are out...they’re out! The staff will help you mix a dozen for work and make sure you cover all the bases from sprinkles to long johns to jelly filled. I highly recommend the apple fritter here. It is light and fluffy and similar to enjoying a funnel cake. These people definitely know what they are doing. The prices are super reasonable since they are all about quality and not PDX Hype. Keep up the tasty work!
Staff were incredibly nice, but not without a personality of their own. There was a dog present when I walked in and its hard to think ill of a place when the first—and thus far only—visit was so positive.I do not expect a dog next time I go, but a man can dream DAMNIT!
Great little coffee shop, lots of natural light. Love to sit here and read. Donuts are great, but the croissants are my fave. Heard they might start offering savory options, which would make this place the utter best!
Roast their own coffee to perfection! Pastry selections very good.
Of the best places to stop in for a donut and a good chat, the staff are quite sweet, and the donuts even more so
Great spot to get donuts. Not the most expensive but definitely not the cheapest. Best for the value though as the donuts are amazing and the experience with the staff and space are awesome too!
Great selection of delicious donuts. Prices are inexpensive. Espresso drinks also available. Run out of donuts later in the day - but also have some great deals at the end of the day!
I love the donuts here and the chai tea. The staff are always so friendly.
Walked in with my partner. Big smile on my face, said hello politely. Woman at the counter didn’t even look at me, asked my partner what she wanted. Then, without looking at me, asked “is that all?” I don’t particularly appreciate being treated as though I’m invisible, not when I’m being polite in the first place. Coffee was sour and tasted of either an unwashed coffee pot or a poor roast, incidentally. Bad coffee, inconsistent service. Good donuts though.
Latte comes with a donut hole which is nice.Iced coffee come with 2 large ice cubes; Good flavorRan out of donuts on Friday before 9am. It was refilled at about 9:10 though
With all the hype on donuts in this town, I feel as if Coco is underrated. This place has an old school feel, and doesnt come off as what an LA marketing agency thinks a donut shop is.
I know a few people who really love this place. I dont really get it. They have a relatively modest selection of average donuts that taste fine. I could say the same about Safeway. Actually, Safeways selection is generally better. I guess Im just not a Coco kinda guy. The hours arent all that great, though, either. Overall, the place is fine, and if youre needing a donut fix, you might stop in.
Excellent donuts, but if its close to the end of the day dont be fooled into taking the free donut that they offer you alongside the one that you pay for. If you do youll end up eating both of your crispy apple fritters back to back and feel like trash afterwards.
First time there and donuts were awesome! Woman there was very friendly and kind enough to buy me a donut with the one I purchased. I will be back.
I had the Vietnamese coffee, which came with a complimentary donut hole -- a delightful surprise. At 3pm, though, all the donuts were already sold out, so dont wait too long! The coffee is Stumptown, a nice roast. The espresso was better than most other places Ive been to so far.
Ive been going to Coco donuts since I worked out in Tigard; Id stop at the downtown location before going home in the morning after a graveyard shift. Always a great donut and they introduced me to my first lavender experience in cuisine. Best buttermilk bars ever.
Oops! As a person with allergies it’s important to get what you order. I popped in for a hot tea. I ordered PLAIN black tea... they have two offerings an English breakfast Smith’s tea or one with flavor. They gave me the wrong tea (sad face) I didn’t realize until I drove off. After a call they promised a free tea when I return. Which I will later in the day.
Great donuts, staff is super friendly and helpful. Love that theyre next to the max too 😅
The cashier was very helpful and friendly. I got a glazed buttermilk, sweet and delicious. Will be back again!
The donuts are tasty, and the people who work there are kind.
Still the best donuts in Portland, from my extensive sampling! Great coffee, too.
Pretty good but in my opinion the one downtown is better
Good maple glazed old fashioned donut.
Nice and clean and trendy. Just seems its a little hidden.
There a very soft and fresh donut and you can buy a gift card and they have a few of they around town.Gregory Scott Martin
Coco donuts is a donut shop, a hometown, mom and pop donut shop, the donut quality is ok the coffee is ok the prices are a little presumptuous. Their large 16oz coffee is more than a Starbucks venti. But they do not have the volume that a Starbucks has either. An actual letter that you are going to see on your local coco counter will state that in order to keep costs in line with the cost of a living wage and in order of keeping our employees insured we have had to increase our prices.Coco is not without a heart, they are not an evil corporation bait and switching you into a cheap product, and they raised their prices only AFTER cutting their prices for two weeks in a customer satisfaction celebration. That being said, they do not have confidence in their product, I found the letter passive aggressive, I felt that it was my fault these employees weren’t getting a living wage, so I asked the attendant if that was what they were trying to do and she got defensive, good company support, but the next time I saw the letter I sent a letter on to the home office, who sent my letter as a disciplinary issue to the attendant, the attendant then shared the entire experience with my coworkers, NEVER once did they reach out to me... passive aggressive customer shaming. As a company, know your strengths, KNOW your weaknesses, and do NOT be apologetic for treating your employees right, they will ALWAYS appreciate working for a company that supports them, a city such as PORTLAND, OR will support a company that pays a living wage, insured their employees and takes pride in the great product they provide, because of my experience, I will always share this story with anyone who mentions them, PORTLAND, OR should support the companies that provide unapologetically for their employees.
There donuts are the best&the workers are very nice, they give me and my friend free donuts, thanks
Delicious donuts with a light coconut taste. Nice and light, not too heavy or over done.
Great donuts, lattes and staff. I go there every Wednesday and Friday.
Delicious donuts that are a huge step up from grocery store ones without a large price hike! Staff are friendly and the coffees good too!
The best chocolate cake donut Ive had in Portland!Really classic very well made donuts and they wont break the bank, Ill definitely have to visit again to see if this may be my new favorite donut spot in Portland.
They roast their own coffee, and its some of the best in Portland. The lavender and the coconut donuts are amazing.
Delicious/my favorite cake donuts. Especially delicious lavender donut. 🍩
Excellent customer service, not great big selection. Quality. Just did pastry.
Whenever I stop by any of the shops I have always had a great experience. The Lavender latte is the best!!!
Excellent donuts. A great variety in PDX, different from the other popular places as these are like classic bakery donuts- done perfectly.
A wonderful change of pass from the spazzyness of Voodoo. A everybody knows your name type of shop. A great selection of donuts and some really tasty coffee. Its right off the MAX line too which is nice!
Great donuts. Especially enjoyed the espresso one with chocolate covered espresso beans on top.
Loved the carrot cake donut and chocolate sprinkled donut. Fast service and good range of options for flavors
Perfect donuts, in house roasted coffee. Great staff. Im honestly baffelled by the negative reviews, its a wonderful little shop.
Good donut... nice staff
Both ladies were very nice and helpful. Awesome donuts!
The people that serve you are very nice but they have a few issues with the place. As I sat down flies were all over the place and you could see junk piled up behind a curtain. They also managed to mess up my simple espresso, giving me the wrong size and the wrong drink.
They open early, staff are sweet, donuts are tasty. What more could you ask for? Located right by the train? Check.
Fresh doughnuts and delicious coffee ☕ (I enjoy the Rose Mocha!)
Great staff. Way better than average doughnuts. Lavender is nice.
Nicest people ever.
A great quaint donut shop, located downtown, the service is great, very friendly staff, yummy selection of donuts, coffee is dam good, like place to chill.
Great coffee and excellent donuts make this small shop a nice stop for a quick snack.
Very good moist donuts, not greasy
Solid recipe. great glaze. old fashion chocolate is exceptional. y
Great coffee, amazingly light/airy donuts, consistently awesome service.
