We love Tandem! Portland is a favorite spot overall and the city can do no wrong by me. Great space, low key ambience and a true passion for great coffee. We had βcortadosβ and went back for a second round. We love the location and nice outdoor picnic tables. We had a super sunny day for our visit and would suggest a stop when you are in town.
A great atmosphere. The people are wonderful and very welcoming. Our grandson LOVED the sea-salted choc chip cookie. The baked goods are excellent. We will be back. I had a delicious house coffee, blackπΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈπ―
Great coffee, nice people and the service was top notch. Baristas were very knowledgeable about the coffee being served. Ill definitely be back!
Needed a place to write and tried this place for the first time. I was short on change but they served me anyway. Good people, good environment, and tasty food. Definitely will be back.
So much energy from the coffee itβs like Iβm two people riding on a tandem bicycle. the breakfast sandwich is the best thing Iβve ever tasted as far as breakfast sandwiches go if you can ever get it. Limited supply :p so get up early if you want that buttery biscuit B.B.
I expected the good coffee but was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast sandwich. A simple sausage egg and cheese sandwich that greatly exceeded the sum of its parts. Both were delicious.
Tandem has some of the best coffee Ive had anywhere. They really know what theyre doing, they obviously LOVE what they are doing, and their whole operation is just so cool. I highly recommend Tandem to anyone who likes coffee :).
Coffee a bit bitter for my taste. No cold brew. But the nectarine scone with black tea glaze is out of this world
The best espresso I have ever had! I bought the beans to make at home before even owning am expresso maker! Great vibes!
Friendly staff, great coffee. Why only two kinds of beans on pourover at a time though?? doesnt make sense for the roaster location - you should be able to try everything!
Coffee was decent, but nothing special. Not a lot of variety either. Its also very small and tightly packed. Did appreciate the eco-friendly cups.
The coffee is wonderful.. however the size of the cup is awkward when in the car. The cup isnt tall enough and the rim sits below the cup holder wall.. so, when you go to grab the coffee, you are somewhat grabbing the coffee by its lid, while trying to drive. Its definitly designed for sitting in the shop or foot traffic, but not for travelling via car.
Delicious coffee, I smelled it for 5 minutes like it was my girlfriend.. Im a no cream no sugar guy, so I need a coffee that has flavor and kick.. And this has both, great stuff.. A little pricey but understandable.
Excellent staff and service. Very welcoming atmosphere.
Cool roasting company that sources high quality beans. Met nice people there while drinking a perfect pour over.
Cool vibe, really friendly and helpful staff, and the coffee is really good. I purchased a bag of the βTime and Temperatureβ blend and have been enjoying it. The prices are a bit high, but itβs coffee, so they certainly arenβt alone in having high prices. Anyhow, go check it out if youβre in Portland or near Portland.
A nice little coffee shop with probably some of the best coffee Ive ever had. Im a simple black coffee drinker so I didnt see what they had in the way of fancy foofoo drinks. Only downside was I thought it was a little out of the way, but it was worth the walk.
Out of the world scenes. The Everything scone with cream cheese is true heaven. Followed by the kale scone. Top it off with the West End Blues coffee and you have arrived at the best place for coffee & scone in Maine!
The best mocha I have ever had. Not too sweet, the perfect chocolate flavor. Cute little shop, very clean and tasteful. A real find, check it out.
Neat place with great coffee and pleasantly unique atmosphere. I enjoyed chatting with Adam, who informed me of their second location in the West End that also houses a bakery.
Honeymooning in Portland and this was our first stop. Superb coffee, adorable ambience, and outstanding service. Barista was taking a nasty call from an irate customer, handled it with poise and grace, all while servicing several guests in a timely fashion. Impressed all around! A must when visiting.
I drove to Tandem this morning with my dog, and was pleased to find dog-friendly outside seating. The coffee was very good and the slice of coconut tea cake was huge (we shared it 3 ways), and delicious. The staff was very friendly, and there was even a place to tie the dog up while getting my order. Two coffees and the tea cake were $8.50, which was very reasonable.
Wow! The coffees seem to get better and better and weve never had a bad one! The team is super helpful and organized - were so glad to be a partnering coffee shop!! π
Amazing coffee and baked goods! Love the fresh almond milk.Side note, got a ticket parking out front! Not cool.Still great coffee.
Decent small coffee shop...not too much choice.
Call me a peon but this place is best for baked goods. The coffee seems overpriced, mainly due to quantity for cost. The food makes it well worth a visit and is great for on the go.
Also has great chai. Baked goods.
I have nothing but good things to say about the tandem coffee shop experience! everyone who works there is incredibly warm and friendly-- they cultivate a real community feeling in their cozy, beautiful, sun-lit space. i especially love that it attracts firemen and artists alike, all drawn like moths to the AMAZING coffee and friendly ambiance. try the iced malt coffee (its TO DIE FOR!) or the lakehouse blend (if you like it hot). you wont be disappointed!
Small, local, good brew. In an up and coming part of town. Good people, great outdoor seating!
These guys know what theyre doing. Someone sent me a 12oz bag of their product, and wow - I was able to produce a pretty impressive taste with a chemex.
Awesome service and staff! Great coffee!
My friend gave me a bag of coffee from Tandem. It changed my whole view about coffee. I realize that I never knew anything about the coffee bean itself or the process. I am on my way shortly to learn more.....
Hannah and Luke were so great! charming spot with delicious pastries π₯°
Awesome coffee. Dustin the coffee dude is super friendly. A business that cares about their coffee and puts quality effort into customer interaction.
I always wish these folks had a location closer to me in MA. Incredible selection.
Best coffee in Maine. Always fresh. If you havent been checking the dates on coffee beans, you should!
Moca is really good... Parking can be a pain.
Cozy space with beautiful coffee. When I went in they only had 1 type of coffee available in whole bean. It was the Colombia and it was delicious. Pricy and worth it.
Perfect place to drink craft coffee. No wifi - which gives it a community jovial feel
Best scones in New England. And really good pour overs.
Good coffee, nice decor but they close at 4pm and thereβs no WiFi
Hands down the best single origin coffee shop in the area from Yarmouth down to kennebunkport. Awesome treats, although wish they were able to offer heating capabilities for food.
It took then 12 minutes to make 2 pour overs. It just really seemed excessive. Coffee was tasty I guess.
Great food, great coffee, great atmosphere, great people, great place to go in Portland!
Perfect brew, delicious baked goods, and bicycle themed brand. A coffee bar that stands out and produces quality drinks every time.
This place is great, but you will have too wait.
Best coffee in the city, and home to some of the best baked goods as well.
Excellent coffee, amazing beans, one of my favorite roasters in New England.
Really delicious pour over and cappacino. Great barista. Very clean and friendly place.
Excellent coffee, well prepared in a little brick building. A great coffee experience.
These are the nicest guys ever! Great coffee
Wish I could rate this place 6 stars. Only high praise for this quaint coffee artisan shop
Some of the best coffee in Portland, plus good music, friendly staff, and baked goods, too!
Best coffee in town. great pies and baked goods too.
Iced coffee is the best around, and so are the people who work here!
Single Origin here lived up to our coffee snobbery π from Southern California. Its a must to try. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
A must stop for coffee in Portland. Great coffee, great service, comfortable environment.
Great coffee...the place is still being se up but the staff was cortegeous
Awesome coffee and great baristas!
Fantastic coffee and really friendly staff. I dont miss stopping here when in town.
Always good coffee and service
Very well roasted coffee, left with a couple bags. Tried their malt coffee beverage and wouldnt recommend it, but their pourovers were very well done.
Great coffee, snuggled up little space.
Just note that they dont have wifi
Coffee lovers
Great coffee, Friendly folks!
Wonderful coffee and supremely nice people. Best coffee in Portland, bar none.
Best 100 square feet in Maine.
Incredibly welcoming on my first visit. This would be my regular if I lived nearer.
Small but enough seating areas. Not many options for pastries but the maple parsnip scone is amazing!
No atmosphere, minimal seating, and chai latte was weak.
Really good, pretentious coffee!
Tasty coffee :)
Very likely the best beans in Maine.
Great place to study
Amazing coffee and staff
Best coffee in Portland
Great coffee and tea
The real deal. coffee loversβ dream.
Exceptional.
Great coffee!!
Quality coffee, genuine service
