I’m sure the coffee is great but I was kind of surprised by the seating arrangement... With a lot of coffee shops to choose from in this city, it’s super important to offer a comfortable space. Unfortunately in the lobby of the Meier & Frank building is not the most conducive place to be productive or take a meeting. The design indicated to me that this was a grab & go setup or perhaps temporary situation without making a lot of investment in the space, so it can become something else in the future. The building is undergoing a lot of changes and it feels like a little outpost to step away from the hustle bustle of pioneer square for a minute.
The pour over coffee was so so so good. Better than any coffee weve had in San Francisco. The staff was very friendly as well. 10/10 would go there again!
Great service in here all the time. I didnt enjoy the coffee or latte that much. But the drinks mainly the greyhound is awesome. The fresh grapefruit juice makes the difference and Ive asked other places but they dont have fresh squeezed juice. Great atmosphere with a laid back vibe. I wish they played different music at times but overall a great place to hang and drink. Good happy hour prices!Upper Left Roasters
Person working was very friendly, and the coffee is quite good (though I am a dinner and watered it down a lot). Decent area to relax and i liked the books and decor. Restroom is somewhat inconvenient, but theyre downtown after all.
Upper Left’s Downtown location is a convenient/tasty option for locally roasted coffee. Located steps from the Pioneer Courthouse Square Max station makes this an ideal place to grab my morning coffee before heading into the office. The staff is friendly and always greets me with a smile.
I came here after work while waiting for a friend to came home and sat outside. it was gorgeous out and i love their little patio. They have a small happy hour which i didnt take advantage of but the bartender was super chill, easy to talk to and attentive. They also had free wifi which was perfect. Im glad i stumbled across this place.Upper Left Roasters
One of the only woman owned coffee shops in Portland! Best space with great coffee and people! Beautiful open space with couches where you can hang and do work for the day. Highly recommend.
They have a great coffee menu and some of the best trained, nicest baristas in town! What a great little place to snag a coffee and a bite.
Love this place! The sleek design of ULR creates the perfect environment to work from or meet a friend for coffee. The avocado toast is the best in town!
Amazing coffee, wonderful service. Always enamored with their decor/design and beautiful spaces
Friendly baristas and a beautiful new space. Happy to have them downtown!
Cool spot to relax and sip some java in Portland.
Good coffee. Nice building
Great coffee shop staffed by great people. Its a little tricky to find, but worth it.
Good coffee. Ask for the house make nut milk.
New outpost of Upper Left Roasters tucked in a corner of the downtown Meier & Frank building. Coffee, tea, matcha, pastries and a small menu of bagels and toasts.
Way too hot in here.
