Dr. Lindy Thomas is fantastic at explaining my eye health and keeping me involved in the process. The staff is always friendly and warm, and when I said I dont have a ton to spend on glasses, the nice guy who grabbed frames for me respected that and showed me only frames that I can afford. He also paid attention to my color/shape preferences, but made some off-the-wall suggestions-- one of which I bought! Every pair of frames he showed me was flattering, and when something didnt work, he noticed before I did! I love Eyes on Broadway. Theyre not the cheapest place in town, but the experience and the staff make it worth a visit.

Darrin and Tristen are ! OUTSTANDING ! I had a wonky, reject Barton frame and an older-ish (due to Covid closures) prescription that I purchased during the height of Covid in Sept. 2020. They went above and beyond to correct the issue(s). Typically, I think most places would have never gone out of their way to address all of this (long story), in the matter they did. There are much closer optical places I could choose to give my business to, but I will continue to support Eyes! on Broadway because of the professional and tactful experience I had.

Friendliness, professional customer service, and knowledgeable staff far beyond anything Ive experienced at other eyewear places. We love Eyes on Broadway! From the great docs to the people at the front desk who have worked there forever, which says something, and the super cool folks who help choose and fit glasses. Their glasses are a bit spendy but theyre higher-end boutique glasses and the people there really know a lot about not just how they should look on your face but eyewear fashion and latest trends. They also have discounted glasses.

The best service that Ive ever received from an eyewear shop.Darrin was really great - I gave him a short description of what I was looking for (color, shape, material) and asked him to push my boundaries a bit in terms of style.He was patient, accommodating and was really great at pinpointing the style I wanted. We found an amazing pair of Anne et Valentin glasses that he ordered from the manufacturer and Im *so* excited to get in the mail.I did move away from Portland in the meantime, but when they called me to confirm my shipping address, I asked if there were any local shops I could go to to get adjustments on the glasses. Darrin looked up some shops that carried Anne et Valentin and emailed the list to me.A+ service, they took my insurance as well, so I got a great price on the glasses. Thank you!

I have terrible vision and for years I owned a single pair of glasses. One morning I couldnt find them. My prescription for eyeglasses and contact lenses had log since expired. I tried to go about my day, but my vision is really bad. A confusing blur of color was what the world appeared to be. Eyehealth Northwest was where Ive gone for eye related things my entire life. They told me they couldnt get me in sooner than a week unless it was an emergency. I told them that this felt like an emergency. Eyehealth Northwest told me they disagreed. There are so many locations and departments that do different things with Eyehealth Northwest. I would prefer my eye related things to be simpler than they make it out to be.Eyes on Broadway was a life saver. They got me in same day, the doctor was Canadian and she was very patient and kind. I walked out with all prescriptions I needed including some freebie one day contacts I could pop right in. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Eyes On Broadways team provides comprehensive support for their customers. I have been their customer for about two years now. While my initial interest was finding a stylish pair of glasses using my companys insurance plan, what I received was far beyond expectation and well worth the price:1. They were able to fit a prescription that provided the best vision I have had in my life, and without any eye strain. I had no idea it was possible to see this clearly.2. After unexpectedly scratching both of my glasses while using VR goggles, I reached out for help to replace the affected lenses. They offer comprehensive lens replacement warranty instead, and now I can see fine without major obscuration in the center of my FOV! Thanks! Heads up, if you use VR goggles add additional buffer to prevent your glasses from striking the VR lenses. The plastic may rub against each other and mess up your lens surface right dead center. No polishing can remove this issue.

Super friendly staff! They made an appointment and got me in the same day. Dr. Chiu was extremely helpful and thoroughly explained every step of the process during my appointment. She even scheduled me for the earliest possible follow up appointment to check in on how my healing process was going. The team genuinely cares about the well being of their patients and I felt safe and comfortable the whole time.

I just moved to Portland and Eyes on Broadway was recommended to me by a friend. The exam was great and I found some perfect glasses! A little bit on the pricier side, but the quality is way better than lenscrafters and they go above and beyond with customer service!

Dr. Barreto is a terrific optometrist. He is excellent at explaining eye health and is a great listener, focused on understanding the needs of the patient before determining what kind of prescription they need. Eyes on Broadway is a lovely facility, clean, welcoming and comfortable. The staff is great - very helpful in setting appointments and helping the customer find the right frames. And the frames! Great selection. This is one doctor appointment I actually look forward to keeping.

Just came in to browse and every single person that was working today spoke to me whether they were with someone or not. From coming I was greeted with smiling faces to when I left. After browsing for a minute once someone was available they asked my if there was anything I was looking for. Told them I was browsing but I noticed some eye glasses had a cushion on the nose cards. I originally came in because my glasses were becoming very uncomfortable. She immediately grabbed my glasses and said ‘Let me take care of you!’ She disappeared into the back room as I continued to browse. After a few minutes she came back with my glasses all cushioned up and adjusted like new! Can’t stress enough the importance of this kind of service. This is why you shop local. Keep doing what you do!

Have had really great experiences with the staff. Darren is particularly good at choosing the correct frame and knows exactly which lenses are the best based on your individual prescription. Saw Dr. Thomas, one of their optometrists, for the first time last week and felt I got some really good information. She was very thorough and detailed in her explanations of what she saw during my exam, will definitely be back for my annual checkups.

Just stopped in to see if they could fix my frames after the GF stepped on them. They fixed them up for free and even replaced the eye pads. Amazing!!!

This facility is beautiful, modern and immaculate. The doctors know and remember you from visit to visit. You feel important, and that care is personalized to you. The examinations are thorough, options for vision correction explained clearly. Good, updated styles of eyewear available. I think I could probably save a few dollars at one of those drive-through places, but there is no way I would. I know Eyes On Broadway is top-notch professional and that I am going to be pleased with my visit every time.

This place is wonderful, the customer service is top notch and the office is so nice. I came here a couple of years ago for my prescription, but unfortunately my insurance changed since then and I couldnt come to them again.I got a new prescription from a new eye doctor and ordered my glasses online, but when they came in they were kind of wonky. The place I got my prescription from was no help, so I went into Eyes to see if theyd still help me out (even though technically I wasnt a current customer when I walked in). Whitney was so so wonderful and helped get my glasses straightened out! She never made me feel rushed or feel bad about my glasses not being from their store.If my insurance still covered them, Id still be going there. Until then, I will tell everyone I know to go to them. They truly are wonderful people who know what theyre doing!

The staff and doctors at Eyes On Broadway have a way of making you feel like you are their only patient. Once you walk in the front doors the attentiveness the staff gives to every detail is amazing. They are so patient and helpful. (I tend to take a million years picking out new frames and they stick it out with me to the bitter end!!)

Twice I had small defects in the frame after several years and got a free replacement. Always enjoy the service by everyone in the office

Ive been going to Eyes on Broadway and seeing Dr. Baretto for over 20 years and have had an excellent experience every time Ive walked through the doors, whether its to have my glasses adjusted to having a comprehensive exam and choosing new glasses. I wouldnt think of going anywhere else!

I was seen promptly and didnt wait for more than a few minutes for both the first preliminary testing and then to see Dr. Boersma. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I didnt feel as though my appointment was rushed. At the end, Dr. Boersma explained to me what she had discovered and told me my options. A very good experience for my first eye exam!

I have been a client of EOB for nearly 10 years and have had nothing but good experiences until recently... Both occurrences offered EOB the opportunity to show how much they valued their customers. The answer seems to be not so much.My first experience involved a lost lens for my EOB glasses. I need the glasses for driving and it had been a couple years since my last prescription so I requested an urgent appointment The best they could do was nearly seven weeks away. I managed until then.Recently, my concern was more urgent. I started seeing flashing bright lights in my peripheral vision along with an increase in floaters, those little spots that always seem to move away when you try to look at them. Those symptoms are usually harmless, but they could also indicate a torn retina, a serious event that requires timely intervention. The response from EOB was that no appointment with their doctors was available for nearly two months. Instead they gave me a phone number for a clinic where they farm out overflow or apparently anything out of the ordinary. I did not use their suggested clinic but was able to arrange an appointment with Kaiser in two days.If you have no particular urgency and require nothing outside business as usual, EOB works very well. But if your needs include anything outside the easy, profitable path that EOB has chosen to stay on, you will find yourself on your own.

Their friendliness and service is incredible. I stopped in after reading online reviews and after checking out 3 different shops in town which also had good reviews. Lindsey from Eyes on Broadway asked what style I was looking for and then proceeded to hand select frames for me to try. Their inventory is insane. She slid the shelves left and right to reveal a seemingly endless supply of frames. Not only did Lindsey give me her honest opinion on 2 frames I couldnt decide between, but so did the staff at the desk and another 2 staff they eagerly called from the back. To top it off they were able to fix my broken pair I walked in with when all the previois shops said they couldnt. I now recommend them to everyone after that experience. I didnt get my eye exam there so I cant comment on that.

The exam itself was average - I had a pleasant experience. Getting my frames was the most fun Ive had doing so! I was open to a new look, and the employee brought me all sorts of choices that fit with my profession and my Portland style. Ive gotten countless compliments on my frames and I always brag about how great the experience was. A little spendy, but sooo worth it. Im sure there were cheaper options, but I just wanted what looked best.

Dr. Tom Barreto is an excellent optometrist with a practice hes built into one of the best like it anywhere. This is a good medical provider with competent AND friendly staff plus a lovely selection of eyewear. Its the complete package. I just ordered some lovely new glasses and I can hardly wait for them to come in. Another reason I like Eyes on Broadway so much is I enjoy Tom Barretos sense of humor and easy-going personality.
