Cute shop just off Sandy, I would highly recommend if youre looking for a little set of unique thank you cards, or little knick knacks. I like purchasing birthday cards, as they have a little something for everyone, and any occasion.

Allport has THE best card and gift selection representing artists around the country!

This is an odd place. And it is where I now always go when I need a greeting card for any occasion. It looks kind of like a warehouse inside, suggesting that they must be doing wholesale business. Nevertheless, individuals like me seem to be quite welcome. The big draw is the large number of locally-produced cards. Its not that Im some sort of Portlandia local everything nut. But the cards, many produced in Portland, just tend to be more interesting and innovative then what you find at the supermarket or drug store. The prices are reasonable and the person who takes your money is very friendly and helpful. And its never crowded. In most cases, Im the only retail customer there. And for me, its a great location. Parking is usually scarce on Lawrence, but just drive a few more yards up to Sandy. Plenty of parking there. Or just bike. Speaking of which, one complaint: No bike rack (this is Portland, no?). But the sign post out in front is a good 1-bike substitute.

I LOVE going into Allport to buy my greeting cards because they have the BEST SELECTION! My favorite birthday cards are by Bald Guy, and when it comes to sending a card that expresses how I feel, Allport has artists that blow me away!
