Im an avid nature loving, outdoorsy, extreme sport enthusiast and have all of the big toys to go with it. All of which will not fit in my car. The most recent add on to my collection is the iKamper. Best investment Ive made yet. Rack Attack is hands down the best place to go if you need any type of rack or accessory for mounting all of your favorite toys. Not only do they have a great selection of various brands, but the customer service is stellar. In my opinion, customer service makes or breaks my shopping experience. The crew at Rack Attack are super friendly, very knowledgeable and reliable. I will definitely come back. There is always something more I can build onto my jeep.

I called ahead of time to make sure they had what I needed. The guy was very friendly on the phone and had quick responses. I arrived about 30 min later and was greeted by everyone and everyone was friendly. The service was quick. Everyone was helpful to my questions and needs. Rack Attack is amazing! We were suppose to have our tow hitch and wiring installation done by Uhaul for a big move but they didn’t have the right part ordered and took up several hours of our day just to figure that part out. Rack Attack was about to get us in ASAP to help us out of a frustrating situation. Truly appreciate them and their staff who were all very friendly and honest throughout the experience. They actually offer solutions and input to ensure you are getting exactly what you want.

Rack Attack was so helpful in purchasing our first set of kayak racks for our Toyota 4 runner. I really didnt know much about kayak racks but I really appreciated how easy their site was to navigate and how easy it was to buy over the phone!! I wanted a bike rack for my electric bikes with a ramp, a friend had gotten the Yakima bike ramp rack on line, so I ordered it at the same place she got hers. The problem was it didn’t come directly from them and I received the wrong rack. When I got a hold of them they were out if stock. I decided to see if anyone else had it and I found rack attack, I’m from Vancouver so I just drove over and got it, It was the same price. They loaded it into my vehicle for me and it works great, I no longer need my husband to lift the bikes onto the rack and he finds it much easier to use also. Other places will sell a universal ramp but they cost about the same as this high quality rack with ramp.

All three people that I met when I went into the store were helpful. They explained the different car boxes they had in stock and we’re willing to show me each one’s features. Another employee even removed the box from its packaging and showed me how to install it. This was when it was 115 degrees (although we were under cover). Everyone made this a positive buying experience.

Had a great experience at Rack Attack. I had done a little research prior to going into the store, but the staff blew me away with the depth of their knowledge. They walked me through each of the roof boxes I was interested in and spent time getting into all of the pros and cons of each and what would be the best fit for me and my car. They even let me take the boxes out, place them on my rack, and load up my golf clubs to see how they would look and feel. Would highly recommend!

I bought a Yakima skybox that was missing the keys. The original owner and I went down to the store and got the cores replaced for both locks and provided two new keys for only $10. And it took all of 10 minutes too. The staff were very friendly as well!

I went to Rack Attack with very little knowledge about what type, style, size or brand to get. I felt that the Rack Attack employee who helped me was knowledgeable and very reasonable. He gave me what I think was a balanced and fair assessment of my options. Great selection and lots of different choices.

Had an older Yakima 18 cubic ft skybox that we lost the keys to. The guys at Rack Attack did a great job of tediously going through the key code options to find the right key to pop out the cores and then outfitted it with a new set to keep this box usable. I also was looking for an extender for an older version of the Yakima hold up two bike rack (to take it from 2 to 4 bikes). Although they didn’t carry it and wouldn’t be able to get it in for a while, they helped me avoid buying the wrong version (the newer EVO version that they do carry), and steered me towards other online sources (REI) to find what I needed. They were great about helping me find what I needed instead of being concerned about making the sale.

This friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful team has the best in-stock inventory in the city (saving you $ on potentially costly shipping for oversized products like cargo boxes), and they go the extra mile to ensure the customers are happy with their experience. Its also nice to see some outlier brand products that arent already over-saturating the market. Having done my research before going in, I was pleasantly surprised to work with one of the employees who utilizes the same non-Thule or Yakima cargo box I was interested in. He real talked me about comparisons, gave me some great hacks / insights regarding use, care, etc., and was great about showing me how to install it. I was also in & out in 20 minutes. Its assuredly in your best interest to speak with these industry pros before pulling the trigger on rack gear. Theyre great people, who obviously stock the best products, and work hard to take good care of their customers.

I came in to this store looking for a particular Thule cargo box but told that Thule no longer carry it. So Daniel helped me with another brand - Inno which I liked but thinking it might be a little bigger than I need. But Daniel and another guy tested it in my Forrester and it looked good. I told him I need to think about it since it was more than I need to spend. But at the end of the day we came back and bought it and they installed it. Mike and his team are very knowledgeable on the rack systems offered at Rack Attack. I’ve used them a good handfull of times since I moved to the area in 2011. I like the fact that they have used racks and supplies in stock. They will fit your sport and vehicle needs based on their experience. I just purchased some Thule locking straps there that were the same price as I found on line. The new locking straps are way easier to manage than my 20+ year old straps. They kept my extra board locked safe and sound in my rig at the beach today. I could have easily ordered the same straps on line but I want to support local anyways. Good inventory. Friendly staff. Gave me a quick tutorial on my new Yakima box and helped me get it on my car in less than 10 minutes.

We called before driving all the way over there, it was about an hour and a half one way.. We were told they could install the unit when we got there. However after driving all the way over there, we were told they were book up for installations through next week. The unit wouldnt fit in our vehicle in the box, and we were told if we opened the box, and it still didnt fit we would be charged a $20 reboxing fee.We started assembling the unit and cross bars ourselves, and were told it was a three hour install, and if we werent done by 5:00, it we would be required to leave.We finished installing it in an hour with no help from them at all. Very poor customer service.

Mike and his team at Rack Attack are top notch. On my first visit they helped me place two different cargo boxes on my roof to see which color looked better. The staff at the Portland store are always helpful and knowledgable, whether Im looking for a new rack or parts for my old one. I usually know what Im looking for before I go in, however their displays are well organized and provide a wide range of stuff-hauling options so even if youre not sure, they can demonstrate the right parts for your situation.

I ordered a rocket box from Rack Attack, they were able to make suggestions to help me find the right model, had it in stock, and installed same day. The process was seamless and the team was super helpful.

I called to discuss the differences between two racks I was interested in as I live about two hours away from the store. The salesman was super knowledgeable and offered his professional opinion that helped me decide on which rack was right for me. I bought the rack over the phone and they brought it out to my vehicle when I arrived. I could not honestly asked for a better experience for my first rack purchase.

I had such a great experience getting a bike rack for my older CRV. It was tough to find something that would work with my older model and with my swinging back gate. So I tried Rack Attack, and was lucky enough to get Daniel, who was awesome. From the moment I had an initial conversation on the phone, to when I came in and ordered the equipment, to the install, Daniel was 100% on top of it and offered great attention to detail, patience for all of my questions and a wonderful, friendly disposition. Went here on a Saturday morning. Most stores were sold out of the roof cargo boxes I wanted due to the post-covid camping craze, but these guys had what I wanted in stock and it was paid for, installed, and I was driving away with a new cargo box less than 20 minutes after I arrived.

These guys saved my summer, I’m not even kidding. I bought a rooftop tent from a big brand name but it came damaged and a week late. With less than 48 hours before my summer road trip, the awesome guys at Rack Attack Portland took care of me like pros. Working with my crazy timeframe, fitting the cost within my budget and being so supporting and understanding - all that went a long way. I am a forever a fan and loyal customer.They ended up saving me from disaster of installing the original tent on my RAV4’s original racks that were not weight compatible (something that my original tent distributor never disclosed). Friendly staff and good instock inventory. I placed an order online for a cargo box that no one had in stock near me. I expected to wait 6 weeks for delivery which was fine. Right after I placed my order, Mike called me and said they had some in stock and that I could come pick it up whenever was convenient. I picked it up a couple days later. They installed it (for a small fee) and I was on my way in less then 10 minutes. I will definitely keep them in mind for future rack purchases.

Audi didnt ship my rack in time, and I was in jam - needed a roof carrier in 24 hrs for a camping trip. RackAttack came through for me and the guy at the store even stayed after work to put it together so he could install it the first thing next day.

The employees really know their stuff! They take the time to find the right product for you. I tried other places and couldnt find a hitch lock. I gave up for over a year. Finally wanted to get the bike rack installed and tried this place. In and out within 15 mins with the right product and really decent pricing. Only negative is the parking. Theres a couple spaces, but its mostly street parking next to Providence Park.

I recently purchased the Yakima Skybox 16, and the service I received (and observed) was outstanding. I first spoke to Mike on the phone, to pay for the box. When I came to pick up the box, there was another customer in front of me that was having some issues and wanted to cancel his order and to make sure he wasn’t charged for it. He sounded agitated, but Mike was super thorough and patient with him, and handled the matter in such a professional mannerism. He even gave the unhappy customer his card and told the customer to call him anytime. In any case, the pickup was super quick and easy, Mike and another associate (so sorry I didnt catch her name) installed the box on my car, made sure it was on properly, and that was it! A+ service all around!

Stopped in yesterday needed a new strap for a Rocky Mount bike rack I bought there YEARS ago. The wheel strap had broken (my fault) and I needed one, Daniel dug through whatever crates they had there to find just the right one that would fit my bike tray and it worked perfectly. I purchased a Thule Camber 4 bike rack and found some minor damage to the end cap (guessing the box was dropped on its end). I emailed Rack Attack Portland and got a quick response that Thule would send a replacement cap directly to my house. This was the perfect solution as I like the bike rack, it was already installed, and the cap replacement is easy to fix myself. That, and it was the very last unit in the area! This is my second purchase from Rack Attack, and theyve earned my loyalty with all future purchases.

I purchased an electric bike from a dealer in Portland OR, 180 from our home town, and did not have a bike rack to use to bring the bike home. I called Rack Attach Portland and they had the one I needed in stock. They put it on hold for me, to pick up later that week when I came for the bike. I was concerned that it might take long to install it on my car but they assured me that they could help if needed, plus they had a covered garage in case it was raining. I arrived at the planned time and day and they were ready for me. Took just a moment to install it and they disposed of the boxes and packing material for me. They have an amazing store with every type of rack imaginable. Great staff too. I appreciate their willingness to help with my situation. Nice job!

Fantastic staff. Came in and they helped me. I was going to swap out rack for something inferior, but they instead showed my how to get the current rack to work again. Ok so this was freakin insane! I have been looking for the Kuat Pivot Drivers side for a while but been sold out everywhere! I checked the Rack Attack website and it said they were in stock and so I thought Awesome and hit the order button online figuring Ill have it in about a week or so. Well apparently I wildly underestimated these guys because I ordered around 3pm on Tuesday Dec 1 and it was at my door before 11am Dec 2! WHAT?! you read that correctly, less than 24 hours shipping!!!!! Now, I live in Vancouver, WA and it was shipped from the location just across the river in Portland but still, I mean that rivals Amazon. Just incredible service there! I brought my old THULE box in that needed new lock cores. Even though it is an older model Rack Attack had the cores and replaced them for $21! I had thought I would need a new box but Suzie sussed out the issues with the damaged core and had me back on the road in no time! Loved the service and location. Easy to drive into covered garage to get things done. A-plus place and staff.
