Great place.Business is run by people who care about their customers.AND they care about the community and give back.During the recent Customer Appreciation Event they & customers raised 20,607 lbs food for food bank.Staff is knowledgeable & very helpful. As we said - Great Place
10 years ago this was one of the best ranges in the country. But times have changed this facility is all about getting every nickel from everyone who walks in. Just like Costco they make a fortune from memberships from people they know and hope they will never see again. The change over in staff is monthly. They are master marketers playing on the emotions of scared and vulnerable people.
Came here with no experience with an actual indoor range ( I’ve only been up to Hayden Creek) and I let that be known and they were extremely helpful and got me going right away with a great attitude. Thanks for being super helpful and making me feel comfortable.
Came in with my mother and father. To rent and shoot some of their guns.We shot a Glock 17, M&P Shield 5 and a 5.56 AR15.We had an absolute blast!Prices are very good if you wanna come in and rent a gun and just have fun at the range.Cant recommend enough, will definitely come visit again if Ill be in the area.
Great shop, nice indoor range, and outstanding training! I have taken the ID enhanced CWL course, Defensive pistol 1&2, and plan to take more classes in the future. They have a great selection of guns and accessories at reasonable prices. I have always received excellent customer service at the gun counter as well. We are lucky to have such a great facility here in Post Falls and if youre looking for a place to train or buy a firearm, definitely give Center Target a look!
I recently bought a new gun here and took a class to learn how to shoot it. Rod led the class. I highly recommend them. Very helpful to purchase and qualify to shoot your new gun. Love Center Target Sports.
Have visited this store/range several times throughout the years. Recently, I went in to purchase a gun but found that the transfer would take too long (not their fault as it has to do with the state I am from.) After spending a good deal of time with me and then finding out the transfer issues stood in the way, Larry, recommended a shop/range near my home (300 miles away). I should have written the name down, as I couldnt remember it when I got home. I sent an email to the owners asking if they knew the place or could ask Larry. I sent the email after 10 PM. I had an answer 5 minutes later.I do not hesitate to recommend this business.
Larry was my instructor and he was very uneducated. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Larry went on about how people from Washington are dumb and that youre not allowed to open carry in Oregon. The least your instructors could do is know their gun laws and have some compassion. Very disappointed.
Some of the finest instruction you could ever receive. Great people, great prices... incredibly experienced.
Came here for my first time with my family on girls day and I have only ever shot a shotgun before and my mom wanted to shoot hand guns today and the staff was so helpful and is very informative. It is also a great place to come and try out guns when you are shopping around for a new one so you can get a feel for it. Highly recommend
Im new to semis and Tony did wonderful job introducing me and my wife to the store and to that area of shooting. Very friendly and patient; I asked a lot basic questions without feeling dumb it embarrassed. Even had to ask the same question twice :) thanks for making out a GREAT experience, will come back again!
Ed and Peggy Santos are the owners of Center Target and they are both wonderful folks. The range is freeway close, its clean and modern and most importantly, safe. The Center Target staff are equally helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Whether its gun parts or purchases they know their stuff.Training is also available from basic pistol safety to advance gun fighting tactics. The best part about Eds training philosophy (in a nut shell) is that quality training is available to those who seek it but does not drain your life savings in order to obtain the proper education. You can also rent a variety of guns and calibers to try out and membership is also available.Try Center Target soon.
Outstanding facility, great service. You can try many handguns from selections from their showroom floor at a reasonable price. They have commonsense rules and very helpful personnel. If you do not have eye and ear protection, you can purchase them there. Nice facility with clean public bathrooms.
Was signing up for a single lane by a nice worker named Elizabeth when PJ, another worker notified me that there is no longer a military discount for disabled soldiers. Only soldiers that retired at full 20 years. I asked PJ if I got hurt in iraq and received a purple heart from those injuries how can I finish my 20..he replied to take it up with the owner Ed Santos. Im gonna find a new range that supports all veterans. Especially during these times.
Grant and I had a fun class today at Center Target Sports. Thank you Rod for an exceptional experience on the range. First time ever shooting in the dark and rapid fire. We will be back. You guys are the best. Thank you Larry and PJ for helping me with my faulty mag. 👍.
Went today with four friends with skills ranging from total novice to expert and we all had a good time. The staff were helpful and friendly. A couple of us shot machine guns for the first time which was pretty sweet.
Love this place I would go every day if I could me and my dad go here any day we can and it is always fun.but one time we did buy a used gun and it did not work well and it took them a while to find out what is was but when they did they fixed it and it did take a while but it was a really good time there and I am glad my dads 22 is fixed cuz that’s my favorite gun to shoot at this range
Ive been shooting here on numerous occasions, shipped a firearm here for FFL transfer, attended their CCL class and made other small purchases. The staff has been nothing but excellent and polite, Ed did a fantastic job teaching the class, and their selection of rentals is great. I also had an experience with a firearm malfunctioning from the factory, and the gunsmith got me going again quickly and was reasonable with his rate. I cant recommend this facility highly enough.
I just dropped in to shoot a few guns while on vacation. Great staff, friendly, knowledgeable & professional. The range is very nice and well kept. I had no issues with any of the four, 9mm handguns I rented, all worked flawlessly.
Always friendly and happy to answer questions or help. Always room to shoot. Friendly and helpful to new shooters. Thanks!
I visited Center Target today. I am new-ish to my area and havent had time to join a range or shooting club. But today I googled ranges and after reading all the 1 star reviews (I always do that - hope for the best, prepare for the worst) I decided to go shooting at Center Target.During the course of my visit I dealt with four different staff members. Each one was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. None of them tried to pressure me into anything, but were ready to answer any of my questions.I got a lane and a few targets and off I went. I was there about 2.5 hours. I had a few shooters come in and out while I was there. Everyone of the shooters obeyed the rules, were friendly, and seems to have a good experience. The facility is clean. Well maintained. Great indoor shooting lanes. Wide shooting lanes. And as for the store area...yes some higher prices items...some lower than you find elsewhere. Thats part of it. Supply/Demand/vendor relations...Instead of just paying for my lane use and targets, I decided to become a member of the Range today.Ive only ever given one five star review and she still hates it when I tell the story...
Awesome! Just frickin AWESOME! Great selection, even better prices. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and very polite staff. If you love guns like me, then this place is heaven. I drove three hours to get there and it was totally worth it. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
The employees here are amazingly helpful and accommodating. Thank you!
I visited center target today to buy a Christmas gift for my husband. The gentleman who assisted me today was very helpful. He was able to judge my level of knowledge, and explained exactly what he liked about the accessories. I will be in the market for a new firearm soon and I am definitely excited to go talk to these guys about my opinions.
I Took a class on handgun safety with Dennis. Great instructor with a wealth of knowledge...had a great time and 4 hrs flew by. Cant wait for next class!!! I really appreciated how serious they take safety of all, very important in this environment! :)
Customer service varies greatly.. some days its outstanding and knowledgeable staff ready to help. Other days especially the weekends the staff seems overwhelmed and just helps the regulars they know first.. definitely not a first come first serve basis. I dont find it worth waiting 20 to 30 minutes just for initial service after people who came in after me are helped first. I have experience this on my last 2 visits. Hopefully you can make some adjustments to help acknowledge customers and improve your customer service as they come in to your business. Otherwise I have enjoyed shooting here when the customer service has existed. Today I had to just walk out because I couldnt get service no matter what counter I stood at. I really hope service can improve as I enjoyed the facility for the most part it is a nice facility, but in need of serious customer service.
Ed and Peggy Santos have a heart to serve the community and train others in the SAFE use of firearms, and so MUCH MORE. The store has its own gunsmith on site, helpful and knowledgeable sales and training staff, AND 16 indoor lanes (75) to practice on. You can rent one of their guns (even try a machine gun) ON SITE OF COURSE. They sell new, used, and consignment firearms.
Never fired a gun before coming here. Staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. There were a nice selection of pistols to rent.
Center target was actually the second range I had visited in the Spokane area. I couldnt imagine the huge difference in customer service! The staff is very friendly and quick to help - especially good for those who are just getting started. They also offer an extensive variety of classes. For the more experienced shooters, everyone there is extremely knowledgeable including the on-site gunsmith.I have been back many times - using the shooting range, getting help with purchasing firearms, and even going to their summer fundraiser for a local charity. I cant say enough good things about this place. On a couple of occasions, I have brought along friends from out of town who are quite experienced with shooting ranges, and we all feel the same way: its a bit of a drive out to Post Falls, but well worth it. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
These guys do it right. Very nice place. Lots of things in there store and a very nice indoor range. Classes of many kinds. Many guns to rent but you need to buy the ammo for them from the store. The ammo is a bit costly but it help pay for the rented guns. They do have a gun smith on site. We enjoy and support this local store.
This locally owned gunshop has a friendly and knowledgeable staff and fair prices. The prices arent the lowest ever, but they offer a lifetime warranty and a 30 day regret free return policy on every new and used gun they sell. Overall its a great place to buy a gun and the indoor range is top-notch.
Very professional looking shooting range. Lots of high quality arms and gear. A very busy place on a Sunday morning, the day I visited. Prices for arms, ammo, and tactical gear was way out of my league, but looked like a great place to shoot and train.
Came in to buy a Glock 19. Kicked out for not complying with the “mask law”. Their words not mine.
After having been a member for 3 years I can see where the people leaving 1 stars find their frustration. The customer service really does depend on the person you deal with. I have attempted to reserve multiple lanes and was told no problem then later told members can only reserve on lane. During 2013 you would pretty much get a different answer from half the staff on most questions. Since I really like the range overall I keep going and now understand the challenges they face in staff training and turnover. I highly value the knowledge I have gained from the owner Ed. The limited classes I have been able to take have put me many years ahead in my knowledge and skill. What I have found is never count on something a newer staff member tell you unless you double check with management. I will continue using Center Target Sports for years to come for training and pistol shooting. It is without question the best range here in the Northwest.
Great Place to go shoot. Friendly customer service and fun atmosphere. Will go again!
I joined as a member here the first week they opened, and and while I no longer live in the area, I still stop by occasionally when I am in town. Great facility, good staff, and they do a ton for the local community and customers. My only complaint would be that the facility has need an expansion for the last 5 years. It is jam packed and often hard to get time when you want it.
Great Range- Purchased an annual membership after my second visit. Very clean facility with professional, knowledgeable staff. Steve provided me a great overview of their class offerings and member benefits.Highly recommend- give them a visit!
The staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The range was awesome and bonus points for having a gunsmith on the staff. I will definitely go back. A great experience overall.
What an amazing store ! Great customer service, super helpful we will definitely be coming back
The people are always very friendly and the facility is next to none. The facility has monitors so that employees can ensure that there is no unsafe handling of firearms on the range. The targets are individually controlled by the shooter so there is no waiting for someone to hang targets. Its just a good shooting experience.
Great classes and Product. Extremely easy to work with. I highly recommend them and will continue to go here for most of my fire arm and training needs.
Very professional and well run. Staff was extremely helpful. This was my first time here and they made it a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Will definitely be back.
My dad, my 10 year old son and I went shooting at their range and I have never dealt with a staff so rude. I have been an avid shooter for six years and have been to about 20 indoor ranges across the western states. There was one gentleman that helped us with the paperwork and he was cool but the other two employees were terrible. I asked for a screwdriver so I could adjust the sights on my dads pistol and was told rudely that they would not let me borrow one. My son was shooting in one of our lanes and I popped my head over to the next lane to answer a question my dad had and was yelled at because they said I was leaving my child unattended. My dad got a phone call from a friend that was meeting is there and he put down his gun and stepped back out of his lane to answer the call. The guy came in and got in his face and said he couldnt talk on the phone because he wouldnt be paying attention to the child. I was standing right there!! My dad said ok and the guy said say it louder so I know you heard me I was amazed at how rude he was to a 74 year old man. The best was when I was emptying a my 22 pistol at the target and the guy cam in yelling who did that? It took me a second to figure out he was talking about me. Turns out they have a rule that you can not shoot faster than one round per second. We asked him to be more polite when talking to us and he burst back into the shop and yelled at another guy to kick us out. I consider myself a very safe shooter and I have never had a range master correct anything I have done. These guys were just unreal. I will never go there again.
I cannot say enough about what a great facility Center Target Sports is. I am a female ccw holder and I took my classes from them. I also shoot there regularly. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and safety-minded. The classes are some of the best available in the country - in my opinion! And they always manage to have something in stock that catches my eye. =)Also - No foul language, respectful, safe, clean, top notch. I would even classify it as a family place. Perfect for beginners and experienced shooters alike. Great place to take your kids to teach them about firearms, shooting and safety. Thanks Center Target Sports for bringing this gem to Post Falls!
Don’t be proud, take a course from this team. Incredible value for money. Take a course from Ed Santos. You’re cheating yourself if you don’t.
Told one price for the range cost by one employee only to be charged even more by another to fire 50rds.
Took a class from Ron today. Very informative. Actually learned a lot more about the basics than expected. I liked that he explained and demonstrated why things are the way they are. Didnt just skim over lists of dos and donts. Looking forward to taking some other classes in the future. Thanks!
Fantastic range, friendly knowledgeable staff. Fair prices. Range and grounds are super clean.
Nice place to shoot but could use some up graded lighting and acoustic work for better sound supression...
Love this place and the people who run it. Very safety conscious. Great classes. Clean. Top notch!
Wont even see if your gunsmith has a $5 part. Alright then.
My husband had an awesome time here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wasnt too busy when we were there, around 10am Friday.
Terrific staff. Very friendly and inviting. I highly recommend for both buying guns and training and the range (done all 3).
I visited to get set up for concealed carry and they were great. Good selection and everyone was very helpful. I didnt shot but the range looks great.
Great facility, took class from Rod, learned MUCH, way worth the investment - well be back !
Ive been going to Center Target Sports on & off for almost 8 years now. Ive taken classes, as has my wife. Ive taken guests as well and never has there been an issue. Always polite and courteous. Ive seen a couple complaints on here, but always anonymous. Curious why someone who wants to complain, does it secretly. Anyway, fantastic place and rated one of the best in the country to boot (or rather, shoot)!!!
Quick and efficient transfer. Helped me figure out how to get the right documentation I needed when I was missing something.
Great indoor range. Staff has exceptional knowledge of firearms and their classes are the best in the area.
I spent a couple enjoyable years shooting at this range and was a member for a little over a year. I routinely witnessed the staff talking down to customers in a manner I thought was inappropriate. I never said anything until the assistant manager talked to me in a very condescending, not at all instructive manner to correct a safety mistake I made. I have no problem with their assessment of my action, but I didnt deserve to be spoken to as a child. She is not my mother, and shouldve talked to me as a man. My complaints have concluded in the cancelling of my membership and a ban from returning. (I am using an pseudonym to remain anonymous, I do not wish to advertise my gun ownership to the public. CTS knows who I am)
I have no use for a range where you are not allowed to shoot more than once per second. Mrs Peggy, I saw your reply to another customer. No I do not shoot the ceiling. All my shots were center mass on my target. On your piece of paper with the rules of the range which the customers sign, I crossed out the no more than one shot per second rule, signed it, and the employees did not notice. Later, they did take the time to enforce the dumb rule by calling ceasefire and reminding us all to not shoot quickly. Wouldnt want anyone actually practicing and getting better at shooting now would we? How would you shoot when defending yourself? Would you limit yourself to one shot per second? How do you know you are proficient enough to perform as needed when the time comes if you cannot find a place to practice?Your gunsmith installed the sights on my pistol improperly. As I practiced at the range, my shots drifted farther to the left as time went on. For a few minutes I thought I was going crazy or getting worse or something, then I discovered my rear sight could be moved with one finger. This is a fixed sight with a set screw. Your gunsmith messed up, and I paid $35 for the job to be done. Ive paid $15 in Boise, and that guy used loctite and a laser boresight to ensure zero. When I brought the problem to the attention of the staff, basically, they shrugged their shoulders. The smith had left already and would be off for the next two days, and I live hours away so Im not going to waste my time or money coming back for the service, I will call the $35 a loss and have a more local professional do the job. Also, as another reviewer noted, why do you not space out the occupied lanes? Hello? When there are three lanes in use out of however many total, why did you put the guy with the 10mm right next to me?Positive things about the store: they had the pistol I wanted in stock at a reasonable price. They had the pistol I wanted to try out available for rent. They have potentially lifesaving medical supplies for sale. Some of the staff are polite professionals. My experience was mixed, but I have no reason ever to go back. It is not a range for proficient gunmen. I miss being next to state land where I can set up my targets and practice however I want, drawing from a holster, shooting quickly, and shooting on the move.
The owners are responsible caring people in community. They hire good people. The classes they offer are superb.
Im from Spain, so the only guns I have seen before its on movies. People are friendly and helpful so, even with the initial doubts as them explain the safety and other procedures... At the end, 100 bullets, 3 guns (I could switch any gun same caliber), plugs and safety glasses for 100 $. You tell me, Ill be back every time Im nearby. Thanks, guys.
I felt like the enemy for asking dumb questions. After several minutes of this, I left disappointed. I will not return.
Went in to sell a benelli shotgun I had only shot once. The guy fumbled around unsure of the process. He finally called a guy over who looked it over and offered $175 for it, which he admitted was not a fair price. I agreed though since I was only hoping for $200. The guy then disappeared to find someone who knew the process of buying a customers gun. After being gone for 5 min he came back and said they called the owner who said he wasnt interested in the gun. Wasted my time for 45 min. and then went back on what they had offered. Next time maybe call the owner first instead of wasting someones time. I wont be back and dont recommend doing business here.
Terrible customer service, i made a very expensive purchase there on a firearm and had a free pass to us the facilites, but when i relaized you had to have eye protection they told me to have shooters glasses, well after spending 1590 dollars they could of given me a loaner piar at least,,, moreover they sell safety glasses & there not shooting glasses 3 dollars to purchase the safety glasses..not very happy about that.. !!! not very good cutomer service...one other point to make here, you cant shoot any round more than 1 secound but you can rent a full auto??? lol
The only place to go in the CoeurdAlene for the best in shooting ranges, training and supplies. Friendly and helpful staff make going to Center Target Sports a fun and satisfying experience.
Friendly staff, helpful advice, and good overall target range.
Best shooting range in area. The owners Peggy and Ed are amazing people.
A safe place to park your I8 while you practice fundamentals of marksmanship on the range.
Underwhelmed. Visited on a weekday. No less than four employees studiously ignored me browsing around. Finally I asked a counter guy for help finding an item, who put down his task to assist. Dont have any plans to return.
My opinion is that this is the nicest indoor gun range in our area. Also available are hand gun classes.
Yesterday was my first time in your store and your associates were very helpful. They saved me a lot of money with their help. Thanks
I was a big sharp shooter fan, but a cabelas associate said to try center target. Boy, im glad we did! The staff is so welcoming and very knowledgeable. Great discounts and they have a gun Smith on sight. We had a wonderful time and will be coming back in the near future. Thanks from philana and raymond Parnell
The gunsmith at center target is absolutely not worth your time or money. I put in a winchester 94 with three minor broken parts and a tiny bit of rust on some of the internals. The gunsmith said he would call me if there was any parts or extra services needed for the gun. Ok. So a whole month goes by before i hear anything. So i call after a month and i ask for the gunsmith, hes not there due to a family emergency. Ok thats understandable. Im told hell be back in three days, so after three days i call again and im told that he has already ordered 3 or four parts the gun needs. Ok you should have asked me before you ordered the parts like you said you would. So he informs me that with the price of parts and labor the total would be $105 dollars. Seems a little steep but whatever, its an heirloom gun so i guess its worth it. I say ok 105 bucks sounds good. He said ill call you when its done. 25 more days go by with no phone calls or messages and my father was getting a little agitated that it was taking so long, so he calls them and they inform him that the gun has beed done for quite some time and that it had accumulated $55 dollars in storage fees. And to add insult to injury they said that when the gun is done being worked on, if its not picked up in 30 days they put it up for sale. So i now had 19 days to pick up my heirloom gun or they sell it. When i put the gun in they never told me anything about selling my gun or storage fees. And in the two months it was in there they never called me once to tell me the progress or tell me when it was done so how was i supposed to know.So i go to get my gun rightfully pissed off, and when i talk to the gunsmith he says that they dont have a such thing as storage fees and that that extra $50 dollars was added because of the parts he had to order, when a month before he told me that after parts and labor it was 105 bucks so i just paid the extra 50 dollars to get my gun out. So they stole 50 dollars from me, lied to me, took a horridly unreasonable amount of time, didnt update me or tell me when it was done, did a piss poor job of putting in the parts in and returned the gun with scratches, chips in the wood and burrs on the metal. The gunsmith at center target is a lying thieving incompetent scammer. Do not go to center target or at least the gunsmith unless you want to have a really bad time
Great gun shop... Indoor range is great, great classes offered here, gunsmithing is reasonable priced.
I bought my very first gun here. Extremely helpful and very courteous. Lots of great help.
My son and I had a blast! Great, helpful staff.
Nice place.
Friendly staff, straight forward range setup. If recommend it.
Great shooting area for pistols, rifle under 30 cal.
High quality facilities. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Excellent firearm and defensive training classes. Professional friendly staff.
Another well taught class by Rob thank you very much 😆
Helpful and kind employees . They were recommended and I wasnt disappointed.
Well run indoor range; excellent customer service, staff very helpful.
Range/facilities are nice. Employees are very rude. Due to poor customer service wont come back.
Great for an indoor range. Good people.
Remember when you felt like you learned something at CTS? Not anymore. I have taken most of the classes offered at CTS and Ed’s level of enthusiasm has definitely declined. I used to love taking classes there but after the kid was born I kind of drifted away from it. I finally got around to taking my CCW class. What a disappointment. I was told that my $110 was for an 8 hour class, but mine was over by 3. My Brother in law said his 8 hour advanced shotgun class was only 5 hours long. He took the day off of work for it and really felt cheated. The beginner pistol class was 4 hours in class and 3 1/2 hours shooting when I first took it. I took it over with my girlfriend and barely shot 2 hours with long classroom break’s in between and lots of unused ammo. CTS training is definitely not what it used to be.
Very good return policy, life time warranty, and offer lots of good class.
Prices on the high side but great service
Oh yes! This is the place of all time. Anything you need. They have it!
Husband loves inside shooting range in winter months
Typical gun store experience. Although if you can avoid talking to the staff, you might get a better price than Cabelas at least.
Fun safe clean range great staff and inventory
Always a great indoor range with awesome staff.
Staff is awesome but they can be a little short handed.
Brought an ar15 barrel in to have a flash hider pinned. They told me the threads on the end of my barrel were worn out. Not sure if that was true or not, but they offered to replace my barrel for cost, which they did. They never contacted me during the process, they didnt get what Id asked for, which was something similar to what I had. Instead I got something entirely different and now im stuck with it. I will say they did decent work for what they did, but im missing some things on the gas block that I used regularly that I dont have now. Probably the last time I get work done here unless I have all the parts for the repair to go with the gun I bring. Definately the last time I let them handle getting the parts thats for sure.
Member 1+ year. Best range in NW. Great everything!
