I had just moved from Maryland to Northern Virginia and needed my prescription filled quickly on my way to Virginia. Stopped by this Walgreens and they took care of me right away. They filled my prescriptions within 15 minutes and I was on my way. Clean store, well stocked and friendly staff. Now that’s outstanding service at it’s best.

Worst experience at any pharmacy. Was waiting at the window for more than 5 minutes and being ignored. Said “excuse me” 3 times and kept for waiting.

5 stars for customer service, 3 stars for corporate support and staffing.I have been a customer of this Walgreens/Rite Aid for several years now after being dissatisfied with the service at a competing pharmacy chain. I dont regret my move. Ive always had very good customer service at this pharmacy. That said, recently the pharmacy has been overwhelmed and in my opinion, understaffed. Whether its trying to speak to a pharmacist by phone or standing in line to pick up a prescription, the wait times can be excessive.I have to say however that the folks behind the counter as well as the store manager, Chris have been doing the best they can given their circumstances, and have been providing excellent customer service.Hopefully this store will get some much needed support from corporate in terms of added personnel.UPDATE 10/21:Today there was no wait. I was in and out in record time. It appears that more pharmacy personnel are on staff.

I have been getting my prescriptions here for years. And ever since they switched over the pharmacy has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. They never pick up the phone. Sometimes they do the wrong prescriptions. They claimed they didn’t have one prescription I have which I have only picked mine up from here for now over 3 years. Then you have to wait in line again which is never less than 25 min. It doesn’t matter what time you go. It’s far from convenient to get prescriptions here now. It would make more sense to have an on line wait list too so you don’t have to stand in the store for 25 + minutes to get medicine during a pandemic. When you call it takes around 15 min before you speak to someone. Sadly, I’m going to have to drive to a pharmacy not near my house because of how poor the service has been here.

2nd covid vaccine with Shanae today. Never in my life have I had an injection that was as painless as these two vaccines, both from Shanae. She assured me at vaccine 1 that there would be no pain and she was true to her word. Each time she explained exactly what I needed to do from an admin standpoint as well as what to expect from the vaccine.This is an EXTRAORDINARY woman. I told the very frightened woman waiting for her shot that she didnt have to be afraid. No pain and nothing but kindness and professionalism from Shanae. When she came out, she thanked me and said I was right.Please know how awesome Shanae is. I am so thankful for her during these pretty unsettled times.OK, Im pretty darned shocked by this store. I could not believe my good fortune when, after days of trying, I finally got an appt for the covid vaccine. I just hit it right and I chose this location thinking that since it was in a superb neighborhood, I wouldnt have to worry about protocols, cleanliness, the actual shot, etc. To my utter surprise, even though the online description of this procedure included Walgreens precautionary process, which was impeccable, they did none of it in the actual store.1. NO sign or indication of where to go when you walked into the store.2. NO sign or indication of where to check in AT the pharmacy.3. 2 chairs perched right next to each other for customers. What?? During a pandemic? Nowhere else to sit besides what appears to be a kids table. Not a good idea.4. NO temperatures being checked.5. NO sanitation measures. Did not see wipes, people cleaning the two chairs which did have an occupant, door handles, nothing. I did not even see a dispenser or wipes anywhere.*6. The shot is asterisked because the young woman administering it was stellar and I did not feel a thing. She was a diamond in a coal mine. Sincerely, I wanted to take her home with me and just be around her goodness. And she can give me a shot any time. Awesome. A full day later and hardly any stiffness. Proves if given right, you dont have to suffer pain.7. No one told me it was time for me to go. I sat there 20 min waiting to be excused. Finally I asked if I could go and someone said, Oh yeah, sure. Go ahead. This was not the job of the shot giver. I noticed that earlier. So she is not to blame. She did her job more than well and made sure I understood all the paperwork she gave me afterwards.8. Walgreens, you need to get with the program. Inexcusable lack of preparedness and protocols for this vaccine! No sanitizing, no checking temp, 2 chairs with their arms jammed together. I do not blame the pharmacist or those working there. I dont think they were instructed as to what to do.

Staff is great but theyre understaffed. The line is an hour every tim. It was a 5 star until Walgreens took over. Bring back Rite Aid!!! Im looking elsewhere for prescriptions. I cant wait an hour in line every time. Prescriptions are never ready either.

Pharmacy technician Ms. Shenae Washington is Unprofessional an extremely rude. Changing my pharmacy

The pharmacy is a nightmare. When you call no one picks up the phone and after 15 minutes of wait, the phone gets disconnected. When you go to pick up your meds the lines are so long that it takes over an hour to pick up your prescription. The pharmacy closes every day at 12:30 to 1:00. Seriously who does that? This place is a nightmare.

For some reason they are now closing down from 130 to 200. Then there is a huge line. Ive been here for two hours waiting and still no scripts ready for me.

The wait time seemed to be a lot longer ever since they changed from RiteAid to Walgreens. I had to wait at least 20-30 minute every time I visited the pharmacy, no matter what time of the day, what day of the week. They only have 2 registers for pickup, and there were usually 5 or 6 ppl waiting in the line.

Clean space and nice staff. The facilities were in nice shape as well. Great weekly specials on daily items with a Rite-aid wellness card.

Convenient neighborhood pharmacy

Very convenient location for me, and customer service has always been excellent. Really sad that its not open 24 hours anymore:(

The pharmacists are all really helpful and quick. Joan lu Mr Patel and the former manager the blond younger woman. Bindh the tech Is awesome she knows every customer by name. Jay upfront is kind and alicia is the best she needs to be store manager. Alicia is dedicated and hard working. She even knows customers by name when I walk in she says hi Sam how are you? Hows is your mom and dad? Like she cares. Thank you Alicia for keeping our rite aid neat clean and a nice place to shop

Not 24 hours any more. Shame as there is nothing else around here open.

After recent management changes, the pharmacy is no longer providing the 5 star service I have received from them for years. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and service.

I traveled from Darnestown to use this pharmacy -- it is no longer worth it. I will move on.
