This place is awesome. It has all my favorite items for crafts. From fabrics, to jewelry making tools, to beads galore. Love love love it. You have to stop by and check them out. Something for everyone.
Went in to see if there was any Fall/Halloween stuff out yet. I like to browse and prepare. The employee was really nice, she greeted us as we walked in and said if we needed anything to let her know. There was a bunch of Summer stuff on sale and they were setting up for new merchandise. Fabric was on sale, varied depending on what you are looking for. Great store and a good variety of material, patterns, and sewing essentials.
This most recent visit the store was clean, organized, and the staff was super helpful (not that I blame them in the past, it was crazy busy). A young person named Grace helped at the cutting counter, they were exceptionally polite, personable, and helpful. If someone from Joanns reads this - please recognize them for superior customer service.
Store wasnt crowded. Everyone was masked up and sanitizing. Very friendly staff that was willing to help! Cashier helped me download a coupon that let me save $21.00 on my total sale. Great experience!!!
Only complaint is how trends tend to change the inventory. But the people are great and the store is well laid-out.

I love shopping at ALL Craft 🖼️ stores. But JoAnn Fabrics & CraftStore has a good selection of fabrics & upholstery fabrics by the yard. When I go there they always have customers waiting patiently for their number to be called. All their depts. have a fairly variety of selections . The ladies at the fabric cutter counter are helpful& friendly to answer my questions or get someone to help me. Im not sure if its always the case onweekends. ( I went on a weekday morning.) 😋
There are only 2 Joanns close by where I live - Poway and Vista. The staff at both stores are super friendly and helpful. You also meet very nice people with creative ideas! Love coming here for fabric and notions!
I go to the Poway location quite often because I am a crafter and I sew a lot. I enjoy this store it is never crowded the people that work there are very friendly you can use coupons all the time from online. It could be a little more updated its very outdated inside. The store is moderately clean and organized, stocked decently.
I am a regular here. They are mostly a fabric and clothing arts based craft store, while they also sell jewelery crafts, painting supplies, stuffing craft supplies, needle supplies, cake decorating supplies, as well as a bit of DIY stuff and simple home decorating stuff.
First time visiting. Nice store with lots of selection of fabrics and accessories for sewing and projects. Good customer service.
Good selection and Great Staff trying very hard to do too much with too few employees scheduled. Not sure if the problem is local manager or corporate, but with a big sale I would have expected more people working as they were seriously understaffed.
Absolutely love Joann’s. I started getting into sewing and went when there was a sale and got a steal out of everything because on top of it being cheap, I still got a 20% discount off and was amazing! Great employees and great attitudes as well.
Its okay. Its not the best place. Theres a lot of empty shelves. The quality of the fabric leaves a lot to be desired. Theyre not very good about letting you use their coupons . The prices are high. Service isnt the best either.

Theyve been good during these rough times.Unless Im walking in to get fabric though, I dont think Ill be using curbside for smaller items.Curbside pickup (for items allegedly listed in stock at location) is 3 to 5 days, & their email & app fails to state this. Perhaps it should include this information so people dont call the store & have predictable exchanges. After calling to ask about an order placed the day before, the woman in an irritated tone said It takes 3-5 days & abruptly hung up after I replied I didnt realize this, thank you so much. If the email or app said this I would not have called; Im not trying, nor do I want to, be a nuisance by checking on my products.Maybe curbside pickup is new & recent to them because of global affairs. I just find it interesting some stores that have products in house have pick-up ready by the end of the day, if not the next. If not, I feel its generally expected to get an email/call/message explaining the delay or EAT (like if the products were listed in store but actually are not; this just happened to me ordering something at BestBuy). Afterwards, I did notice a section on the app where you can track your order & it indeed said it was not ready. Its kind of tucked away & the email doesnt suggest you check there, only to stand by for another email. So I could have spared human contact after all -- I wish I knew that.I know theyre a fabric store, & what I ordered was not fabric. And I think thats why Im a little miffed at the lack of communication; these are items I was going to buy via Amazon Prime, but elected to get at my local craft store instead at the last minute. I wanted to support them as well as I thought it would be quicker if they had it in stock, but it turns out Amazon would have been faster this time around, and less irritated with me asking a question.Edit: I know this is already long, but Im reading reviews seeing others have had a problem with ordering things seeming in stock. Maybe dont list it as so & give a longer EAT. Seeing this repeated only strengthens my beginning statement. If it takes longer than 5 days I dont think Ill be picking it up, and I think that means it will not charge the account (according to the email of the order processing). I will be watching closely on this.Edit: Got an email this morning the saying part of my order was ready to be picked up. I was getting ready to go out to get it, I got this email I attached concerning the other product. Product suddenly not available & cancelled? A joke. Knew I shouldve used Amazon.

This is the 4th time I have come to this location and received horrible service and employees not honoring there own prices. I pointed it out to them today the online or in store was 1 price while in store the prices were dramatically raised with buy 2 get free.

They are doing their best at this time to serve customers. Deliveries are slow to them and us. Stock is low because of this. They are clean and following strict guidelines to keep themselves and us safe. At this time only allowing 30 customers at a time. Always have been courteous and helpful and still are. Prices are average. However, they always have coupons in emails and especially on their app which I recommend. Parking is great at this location. It was rarely overcrowded or over busy in the past.Easy to find and get to from the main street.

Absolutely ridiculous I was #18 in line before they called a second cashier then there was up to 25 people in line! No social distancing going on here. Shame on your company for not taking care of customer service by time I got up there I returned the product I was going to switch and buy more of. Along with 6 other items and expressed my disappointment and left. Poway is notorious with lines and short staff. From now on Ill just go to hobby Lobby its worth the drive.
Placed an order in early March. No email for the first three days. Tried to call the store and nobody answered. Tried to cancel this order and place it elsewhere.Update: customer service provided help, so I waited the week for my order. My order was ultimately canceled the day before it was supposed to be available.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Whenever I am in the store and near the cutting table, I can hear associates helping customers get a discount on their purchase. Good parking. Well stocked fabric selection. Also, considering the building is old, the store is clean and well kept. I shop here all the time. UPDATE:. Today, I was able to make a purchase from the baking supplies area and I am very pleased with my purchase of cake plates.
The customer service is great- the fabric inventory was a bit low. There were bargains on Cricut vinyl and some of the yarn on clearance was actually yarn I needed! Will check periodically on fabric inventory.

This is a great store. The staff are very friendly and very interested in your projects, and will not hesitate to make helpful suggestions to improve your projects. The selection of fabrics is large, and the store is very well organized.Make sure to use your phone to look up coupons, as they often have heavy discounts and they can stack!
This review is for the Poway store. All the staff are super friendly, very nice and helpfull but except for one young employee which name starts with an A. Ive been to all the stores in San Diego but this store (Poway) this employee needs to work on her customer service. Greet customers and atleast have friendly conersations while cutting fabric. Sometimes it just makes me feel not to wanting to go to this store. Would rather drive 20 minutes south where everyone else knows about customer service.
I understand how backed up this company is on orders. Please note that, although it is not listed on their website, all fabric orders are taking at least a week to process, regardless of whether that fabric is listed as in stock or not. I made my fabric order based on the items listed as in stock and in store. Unfortunately, it is still taking over 7 days to process. If you email customer service,they will not look up the order number. Instead, they state that no refunds can be made and that orders are final. Calling goes directly to the national customer service line, which is not what I was personally looking for. This information is not posted on their website. To help with any aggravation from future customers, please note that all orders are taking at least 7 days and do not necessarily order what is in stock.
Great place too buy nice fabrics and anything you need for sewing. Always has holiday decoration for whatever season is coming up. Has other parts and crafts there but not much selection. Definately worth a stop by for sure. Also you can find coupons on line.
DIY paradise
This store, is it really well late out fabrics and crafts store. they have all of their inventory set in the manor that allows straightforward access going from the crafts and craft tools, over to the different selections of fabrics and other items. The staff is also very friendly, too. If you really want to maximize the savings when you come here, you will need to download the Jo-Anns app on Google play or The Apple app store. They will offer coupons inside the app that will definitely make the discounts for what you buy there worth your time.

I did an online order/pick up In store 2 weeks ago. It took them a week and a half to get back to us saying our order could not be filled. We figure the stick was out. Then we went to gothe store today to see if we could get some fabric and other things to make face masks. We got there and there was a line an hour long and when we asked an employee who came out to deliver a curb side order about our cancelled order, she said it wasn’t there fault the order wasn’t fulfilled because the bank cancels the order in 10 day if they cannot fulfill it in that time even if they have the things in stock. It surprising to me that the order took 10 days because all I order was 2 fabrics and some sewing machine needles. I was trying to be cautious and safe by ordering for curb side pick up and wanted items to make masks for my family and friends. I am 15 and was trying to be safe and helpful and now I have nothing and would have to be around others to get what I need. Very disappointed.

Well organized, clean location. The actual strip mall that it is located in looks really run down on the outside. But the JoAnns is surprisingly well maintained. I rated 4 stars because their coupon system is not great - coupons dont work how they are supposed to even when it reads very clearly a certain way. Military discounts cant be applied on most items, etc.
Large store with many items to select from. We were looking for holiday themed fabrics to make tablecloths for gifts. We found just what we needed. The staff was efficient and friendly.
They always have the fabric I need, and their gingerbread villages are fun for the whole family. My family and I have made a tradition of decorating them
Joanns carries most of what we need for sewing and crafting, and nothing beats actually feeling the weight and texture of fabric before buying it. It would be nice if they carried more traditional garment fabrics, but as a retailer they must cater to the mass market, and not niche craftsmen like myself.
They have decent sale prices, and coupons on their app (which of course cant be used on sale items). Narrow rows and somewhat dimly lit inside. But, it isnt nasty or sketchy inside, which is a good thing!
Terrible customer service at the register
They are still trying to rebuild their inventory after the covid-19 shut down. I had to go to two different stores I. Order to find what I needed.

I went shopping for my wifes beading supplies which they had an abundance of and more as well as some tools she needed for the same all in all good experience. It seems for beading they had more than Michaels arts and crafts dead.I am a veteran and they also gave me a 10% discount yay !!!They had super sales and good products the staff was nice on and on good experience I will be coming back to the store.

I wish theres a 0 star I can rate for store. The customer service staff (that tall old female staff) is absolutely worst. !!!RACIST!!! Yes, you read it right!! please stay away from this store, and make sure you dont bring your kids there, because I dont want our kids to learn from any awful behaviors / vulgar languages from this TALL old female staff. She should not have a job there OR ANYWHERE, until she learns how to behave and speak.
So the store has had some small renovations, not much, they just updated their tech, changed the layout, and bought new carts. When they have good deals it can be great, but beware of some misplaced fabrics within the sales fabrics that are not on sale. Before you have your fabrics cut they will give you a price that can change when you go to final checkout, in the front, and dont be surprised if the amount increases. Needless to say was disappointed with the last visit to Joanns.

The prices seem a bit high, unless you use a 50% off coupon. Selection is good. Staff is 50/50, imho. One of their employees has been crabby and disgruntled every time I go in. Hopefully she will make a career change to improve her disposition. Store is usually clean, though dusty toward the rear of the store. All in all, i shop there for the selection, but am likely to start shopping on line unless the pricing and shopping experience improves. Sad, bcs I used to really like JOANN Fabrics.
