Erin was fabulous and very knowledgeable! It was like shopping with a best friend :) I was from out of town so I was by myself at my appointment. she was so helpful taking pictures and making suggestions. The appointment was very professional and organized....impressive considering most other places I have visited. I highly recommend this shop.
This boutique has the charm and elegance of another time and the dedicated focus to the bride is incredible. The owner Erin is passionate about making each bride feel as though they are her only client. I love this bridal boutique and would give 10 stars if I could.
When I went to Erins store in March 2017, she helped me find my dream dress and I was so excited to be working with her. My dress was quoted to come in in July, and in late August I reach out to Erin for an update, but she was hard to get a hold of. Over the next 6 weeks, I had to call and follow up with her because my dress was still not in even though she told me on several occasions that it would be shipping the following weeks. It never did and she never communicated to me what the issue was. She would say she would get back to me and she never did, I had to follow up. This was very stressful and worrisome since my wedding was only 4 weeks away and there was no definite date for when my dress would arrive. I was at my bachlorette party, supposed to be enjoying my weekend, and I had to reach out to her again to let her know I needed a tracking number or a refund on my dress the following Monday so I could look into other options if my dress didnt come in. It wasnt until this point that she let me know it was the designer who was delayed and was then that she started to offer me alternatives in case my dress didnt come. I was very disappointed in the customer service I received; such a difference from when I bought my dress to trying to get an accurate update on when it would arrive. Compared to all the other vendors I have worked with planning my wedding, I felt the least amount of care and attention from my bridal boutique. My dress finally came in 3 weeks before my wedding, but the stress of the experience was not what I would have expected. And she didnt even provide a garment bag. I had to pay for one from the seamstress who altered my dress. It wasnt even built in to the cost of the dress so I would feel it was an extra touch of service. I dont even want to leave a negative review, but I do want to share my experience in working with a small boutique. Hopefully no one else had to stress on the most important detail of their wedding with little communication as to what was going on.
Erin was great! Helped me find my dream wedding dress, and because I am a military Veteran, offered a veterans price as well. Thank you so much for all of your help, Erin! Our wedding day was incredible and the dress was perfectly me-- so many people complimented me on it!!
********** AVOID******* AVOID******* AVOID********** AVOID****************DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT get your dress from Tour of Elegance. It is not a legit company.I purchased my wedding dress from Erin Bearden in October of 2017 and started contacting her end of Dec. beginning of Jan. for updates of when my dress would be getting in so I could plan to schedule my first fitting. I emailed her, texted, and tried calling her business phone (which was off the hook, which should have been the first red flag!) and no answer. Finally, by the end of January 2018, literally a month later, I get text from her saying to call her. She had the worst news any bride would want to hear 2 months before her wedding. She told me that Essence of Australia lost/dropped her order and she cannot get my dress. I was literally in tears. She also said she had lost 5 other girls dresses and she called me first because my wedding was the closest. I was in complete shock and didnt know what to do.I called multiple boutiques to try and find the dress in my size and as a sample because I had no time to rush order a dress from Essence. It takes 10 weeks to rush order and I wouldnt have time for alterations. I called other Essence of Australia retailers, Blush Bridal (Karly) and Archive Bridal and they were so helpful and so sweet about everything. They tried so hard to try and get me my dress in the right size and color and did some investigation for me. They got a hold of the Essence of Australia Representative for Southern California and I found out that Erin is not a retailer of Essence and her business is not even an operating business. They said she must be buying dresses online or a different way, not through the retailer. I looked her up on the Better Business Bureau and she was not listed. She made more promises to me that she would get me a veil and help me out with alterations because of everything that has happened, but I have not heard from her since. I have it all in writing on our contract so I can take legal action.Girls, please do not get your dress here. Save yourself heartache, disappointment, and stress before your wedding. She is not getting her dresses straight from retailers like she said she is. Dont believe her lies. She will con you like she conned me. I dont want any of you to go through what I went through. And please if you went through the same thing like I did, post it on here so other people will see. Expose her for the shady business that she is trying to run.
Terrible place to shop for wedding gowns! Very limited choices and not very helpful with trying on the dresses! They have NO DRESSES for the Bride to be to look at which was a major let down! Would not recommend this place!
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have had a nightmarish experience with this shop ever since my sister chose it for her bridesmaids gowns. The shop owner sweet talked my sister (the bride) and quoted her the bridesmaid dresses at a specific price. The first problem we came across after this was the different prices charged to each of the 3 bridesmaids when the dresses were ordered. But because nothing was in writing with the bride, and each bridesmaid went in separately for fittings, each different price was paid.My own worst experience with the owner was the fitting, I am a larger girl, 510 190 lbs... compared to the 5 3 100 lb shop owner I am huge. In the 15 minutes I spent with her for my fitting she managed to tell me that I wouldnt be able to fit in anything less than a dress size 20 (I am a size 14 in jeans), that I would never be able to lose enough weight by the wedding to fit in a 16, that I would have to pay extra for a plus size dress (anything over a 10) and that Spanx were my friend. I am not easily offended, but I was in tears on the way home from my fitting. She made me sign a contract saying that I ordered a size that was advised against by the store because I ordered a 16. When my dress arrived I had to pay to have it brought in and up, it was still too large. The last stressor for everyone was the time frame for the dresses being delivered. We ordered them 18 weeks in advance of the wedding, they were told they would be in by 16 weeks before the wedding. The shop owner told a different tale to everyone calling to check on the dress prior to their arrival. She told one bridesmaid they were stuck in customs in Europe, she told another that they were stuck in Asia. She told the bride they were in New York, but something went wrong with the shipping. The dresses finally arrived 5 days before the wedding, so the tailoring cost more because of the rush prices. In the end, the store owner was a liar, a cheat and a generally mean person who I would never, ever do business with again.
