I was traveling with my family on Hwy 69 when I got a warning of low tire pressure. As I was driving I saw the bright red Sun Valley Tire building and pulled into the parking lot. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a happy hello and the owner Paula came over to help me out. They quickly looked at the tire and found a nail I must have run over on the highway. They took my car and quickly fixed the issue. The best part, they fixed it for FREE! They even gave me a complementary inspection and topped off all my fluids. I am going to recommend this wonderful tire shop to anyone living or passing through the area. Fantastic customer service and I was in and out faster than I thought possible. It started with The battery light coming on my dashboard and ended with a total failure of my vehicle with both a dead battery and a dead alternator. I cannot say enough great things about Sun Valley Tire and Auto Service in Prescott Valley. I called two different places that said there was no way to get an alternator for my car until the next day. That includes the Toyota dealership itself. This guy got on the phone called a bunch of places and was able to locate my alternator and then said bring it over and he will get it put in so I don’t have to stay up here. They got me in, charged me an incredibly fair price and were some of the kindest people in an auto repair place I have ever delt with. They were slammed. Completely packed. And still took the time to appreciate my issue and help me out! Cannot thank of them enough!! Rick Witham You and your crew are getting pizza on me!!

We got a quickly leaking puncture in our tire while between Phoenix and Prescott Valley. Went to a gas station to change the tire and they recommended Sun Valley Tire. We drove 25 minutes and was greeted at the front desk by Rick, who was lively and promptly came outside with us to check if the tire was repairable. It was, and they had it fixed for no cost in less than 20 minutes. Everybody we interacted with was a pleasure to talk to and very welcoming. Our short time spent in their lobby found us in the company of other customers who also were in a good mood to chat. Our experience could not have been more seamless, helping us hit the road in a shorter amount of time than it took to drive there.

New owner Charlie is as awesome as the previous owner which Charlie worked for / under. Highly recommend. I bring cars up from valley as these people are trustworthy. They tell you the truth and not pushing to up sell or scare you into work.

What an awesome place to go! I needed a transmission fluid flush and was pricing around, the dealerships are always so expensive. I had called Sun Valley Tire & from the very first phone call, I was incredibly happy with the customer service. I decided to bring my car in & again I was greeted with friendly faces & my car was ready when they said it would be. I am extremely happy with the service of my car. Great shop!I broke down in a work van a couple miles from this shop in Prescott Valley on the way to a important job site.On the phone they said they would fit me in and were super understanding to me being on a deadline(the 1st couple shops I called did not seem to care about my predicament or deadlines). After limping my van to Sun Valley repair I was nervous cause I could see they were very busy.But they had my van up in the air within minutes of my arrival! Soon after they had diagnosed my issue, had send their own driver to pick up quality OEM replacement parts from dealership, power washed undercarriage to remove trans fluid that had sprayed everywhere, fixed my issues and had me back on the road in just a few hours! At a extremely fair price.I do a lot of work in Prescott and will now go out of my way to use Sun Valley when I have any maintenance and repair needs.Great shop!Great Mechinics!Great people!

I just had a level kit & front end work done on my F150 from a dealership in Utah. The truck started making noise on the front end. I took it into Sun valley in PV where they were able to diagnose the problem & have it back to me within a few hours. Thank you Rick & the suspension mechanic !!!

This place used to be very reliable and honest. Since changing ownership this place is very corrupt and unreliable. Took my car in for the specific cause of an ABS and traction control light on and had my brakes replaced but the light was still on so they told me to bring it back by and they would reset the light on my dash. I bring it by and they now tell me that the wheel speed sensor needs replaced and that was the issue all along. I asked if there was even a need to replace my brakes and asked to see the brake pads and they could not show them to me. I dealt with Rick and James. Do not trust this place.

Biggest THIEVES in all the tri-city area. Used to be top of the line years ago. I’ve been burned by these thieves, and will gladly spend the $95 taking it to Canyon Auto in Prescott or $140 for Jim’s Auto diagnosis. Don’t make the same mistake I did. If I could get them a negative star review, I would.

They definitely recommended a lot of services that didnt need done. I took my car back to the dealership and they informed me everything Sun Valley said was wrong with it, was in fact not wrong with it. The work they did on the car was good but I wouldnt recommend going here to diagnose car problems.

I have been bringing my 2014 Expedition there for regular maintenance and unexpected repairs for years now and wont go anywhere else. Service advisors are friendly and above all HONEST. Ive had terrible experiences with advisors/technicians but none here. Thanks Sun Valley Tire!

Had a brief but satisfying experience at this place. After having been turned away by several other places without an appointment I was able to get my car on the lift here and have a pre-purchase inspection done quickly and free of charge. They even let me peek under the car myself and take pictures.

Don and Paul are top notch. (Honest and resourceful and are willing to help the customer out even if that means losing business) I mainly use them to change oil and with Veteran discount, it’s great. Bought tires before and replaced brakes, that’s about all I’ll do here. I like to hang around and watch and to be present if an issue is brought up. Had 2 new service writers today, checked in with one of them at 10, he read off what the computer said I was in for, after scheduling a week before, it was for an oil change and alignment check. I acknowledged that was correct and confirmed I would be waiting in the lobby. My car wasn’t moved for 1 hour, ok, not the biggest deal. 1 hour went by after they started on my car and I asked how the alignment check went, I was told they had to have the oil filter brought in from their parts location and that’s why it was taking so long (I thought telling them my car make and model would have helped them be a bit more prepared for simple things like having the right oil filter ready when I scheduled the appointment). Not what I’d asked but I figured he was saying that put the alignment check back. 30 minutes went by and as I was checking out I asked again how the alignment check went and the same new guy who checked me in told me that I hadn’t requested one and that it would take some more time if I wanted it done. I know my alignment is off and would have gladly had them align it, but telling me I hadn’t requested it after it was in their system that I had, I figured I’d take my vehicle elsewhere. I really want to like this place, I love the shop talk atmosphere with the old timers who come in. After this experience and a previous time finding tools left in my engine bay, I figure it’s time to move on and see if I can find a more professional car service shop.

These guys are the most caring and professional mechanics in the area. They have won my patronage time and time again. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else.

They used to be very honest - the best place in town. Always a pleasure to come there, I knew that I was getting the best price and wasnt getting cheated. Otto was supervising all of the mechanics himself. All of the mechanics were super knowledgeable, very honest.In the last year or two, things have changed for the worse.. the mechanics are always trying to replace parts that dont need replacing and telling me that the tires were rotated when, in fact, they were not.To test this, I marked all of the tires with numbers on the inside of the wheel.. and after TWO of the last tire rotations, NOT ONCE were the tires rotated. Also, I decided to do a coolant and transmission fluid flush elsewhere and bring the car in for an oil change to Sun Valley next time.. and STILL they recommended that the coolant and A/T fluid were dirty and needed replacing. Makes you wonder if they actually change the oil or just let it go dirty, as it will cause more expensive repairs for them down the road.Im done with this place.. not sure what happened, but now most of the mechanics are just a bunch of crooks. If you want an honest place to do your maintenance, do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Told me one quote over the phone when i got there they wanted 40 more dollars. I spoke to the manager Mike and he would not charge labor he suggested the warrenty so i added that. So my understanding is that if anything happens to the tire its covered

They tend to recommend not needed repairs. For example I had an oil change. They told me I needed a serpentine belt. The one I had on my vehicle was not even six months old.

This place has gained my forever service! I went here for a second opinion on my brake pads because I was told they were in the red zone and need to be replaced. I come to Sun Valley and they told me that I actually had 70% of my pads left. They literally saved me a few hundred dollars. Very honest people and I’m happy I have found a reliable car service place so I’m not getting ripped off anymore. Thank you guys very much!

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I had arrived early for my appointment for an oil change, and ended up sitting there for over 2 hours. What should have been no more than an hour at most, turned into making me late for all my other appointments that day and having to reschedule and pay late fees. I will never return here.

I am from Colorado and took my 3500 Ram dually truck in for 6 tires and alignment. I waited for truck and manager came into lobby and showed me that my hubcaps (BOTH) rear were broken by the employee when removed. Ok, one maybe but BOTH? The shop blamed it on wear and tear and poordodge parts. For $400 I can get new ones from the shop for their error!,I paid $1700, for tires but received no compensation for hubs.

Was told I needed a timing belt for my car and was told it was an all day repair. The next day, they said they have been short handed all week and are running behind and only had 1 person that can do a timing belt on for this week and the other person had a family emergency. Im patient, but when an all day repair turns into 3 days is when I draw the line and will never go back. On top of that they quoted me under $1300 for the timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt. Final cost almost $1500. The knly plus I will give them is they were honest to tell me that I didnt have to replace my water pump with my timing belt, cudos for the honesty, just poor for customer service and getting the job done in a timely manner.

The guys are amazing and very professional and respectful. I had a little bit of a wait but they were all very busy. Non of them standing around. Thank You for your fast service.

Will inspect and do little things for free. But your appointment time is for dropping off, not the time of starting service -- which was not explained to me when making the appointment.Even with a morning appointment at 8 am for a half hour of work, plan to drop off your vehicle and expect them to call you in the early afternoon.They inspected my car for free, so I have no complaints. They are a victim of their own success unless they expand.

Ive had multiple tires replaced by these guys, fast and quality work and no hassle, great labor price and if they dont have the tire in stock, theyll get it in fast. Couldnt ask for a better shop, plus theyre local so youre supporting the community rather than some big box shop corporation.

Great service and loved the environment. The attendants where very good, and friendly. Although our alignement took an extra hour. The store environment was very patriotic so the time flew by like a good classroom setting. Learned a lot.

Dont drive by this place. It is the shop that will handle your repairs and diagnosis with respect to your safety and wallet. Last time I went here for an oil change, we heard a rattling as we were leaving. We pulled over and popped the hood and the oil cap was sitting on the engine! When we confronted the mechanics about it, they tried blaming it on us and didnt offer an apology or anything for their mistake. Id rather spend the same amount and do my own oil change! Waste of time and money for these screwups.

It took awhile but it was worth it. Little Blue is all better.

Hands down the best shop in town. Had friends from out of state show up with broken A/C. Got it fixed in good time and for a great price. Ill recommend them to everyone.

I am usually very happy with my service, but I am disenchanted with my most recent service. I brought my daughters mini cooper in because i thought it was leaking oil and I noted that the oil was over filled. They looked at the car and correctly diagnosed that the leak was coolant from the water pump. They removed the excess oil and correctly filled the oil to the correct level. I was quoted that replacement of the water pump would be approximately $1000 which I approved. I found our paperwork for our extended warranty and that would have left us paying $100. Later I was called advising replacement of the thermostat for an additional $450 I elected to do this to avert any further cooling issues. The problem was that the repair took 7 days to complete and I wasnt kept well informed of the status of the repairs. Being in the service repair business my self I understand the difficulty of complex repair I think the guys were over their heads and probably should have referred me to some place else. When we picked up the car the service manager told my daughter you all would never work on a mini cooper again. I agree with that as you have lost my business. Ive been using you for over 7 years.

A good place to get an oil change BUT.... I am not a Trump supporter and having to stay outside in the rain because of Faux News running on the TV and Trump signs around did not help the experience. IMHO the politicking and all that goes with is made me feel uncomfortable going there. If you are a Trump fan have at it. If you are not you will be assaulted with right wing blah. As a businessman I try to not shove my political views in peoples faces. It will chase some customers away. I would rather get on with business and make more money. I think they are only hurting themselves by being political.On the other side. The service was good and friendly and the mechanic that did the work was good and friendly and the price was fair. So if you dont mind being assaulted with Fox News and Trump signs and flags they are a good place to go!

Always had quick friendly and budget service at this facility. However they diagnose my car wrong and tried to charge me twice as much for services on the last round. I will not be going back. Always sad when a business uses you for your money and takes advantage of your lack of knowledge.

Bought 80k tires got 65k tires. When I asked them for the 80k tires they said it would be another 25 a tire plus the labor to take their mistake off and put the right tires on. Got quoted 530.00 for the tires paid $640( for the wrong tires) Not even the right brand. Was told my flush was 120 got charged 170. told the oil change was 29 got charged 50. this place is a joke but then again thats the good old bend em over and force it deep in them Prescott is known for.

Good Trustworthy mechanic. Family has done a lot of business with them over the years. They wont try to gut you for everything you got and are generally sympathetic to your troubles. We wont go anywhere else.

Excellent service, customer service and fair prices! Make an appointment if you need service or theres a problem that needs to be addressed. If you have an emergency they will fit you in and get your car back to you as quickly as possible, especially if it is your only vechicle. Make sure to let them know if it is your only car. They have six mechanics bays and they are always filled. A great deal of their business is return customers with good reason. This is where weve been taking our cars for over 14 years. I highly recommend them.

Be warned. I took my kids car there with tire leak. Was told tire was fine but air sensor needed replacement. She drove it to cootonwood and it went flat again. I took it to discount tire, the next day and they found the leak and fixed it and sensor was fine. Only reason this in not 1 star is the employees were very nice. Not sure how a tire store lets a leaking tire back on the road.

Bought a new car through Carvana that came with a 7 day guarantee. I took it into Sun Valley and they did a full inspection on it for me- for FREE even. Made me feel much better about my purchase and my new car. Thank youAngie

3 hours for an oil change ? What was the point in making a 12 oclock appointment? Paul told customers, we dont do fast here . No kidding. They cleared out the lobby for random drop ins and pushed our appointment until the very end . He said they would get our car back because we were back . What does that mean ? We sat outside waiting andthey diidnt take the car because they thought we left ? So they had more time to screw around and pretend like they did work ? Never again .

What great service!! Had a low tire and arrived at 5:45 pm on a Monday, they close at 6 pm. They took my tire off, patched it and had me back on the road by 6:05 pm...they would not let me pay them. I will be getting a new set of tires in a few months and plan to buy them from Sun Valley Tire!!

I was very pleased with the service I received at Sun Valley Tire & Auto. I needed new tires on my 2012 Jeep Liberty and they sold me a very good set of new tires at a great price! Also had them mounted and balanced in no time at all. I definite recommend Sun Valley for any tire service or purchase!

Great experience. We were told at Toyota our tire was unrepairable and we would have to buy a new one for $200 because tires are only covered if we buy them from them when we just bought a brand new Corolla 3 months ago. Came here and they fixed the tire with no problem and they are Veteran Owned so thats a huge plus in my book!!

Very nice! The dealership wanted me to give them $569.00 for stuff they suggest I have done. Went to Dons shop and got an oil change, which is all I really needed at this time. They saved me over $500.00! Love this place (love Dons dog Gunner, too!).

Very busy shop, take that into account when scheduling. Last July my A/C in my 18 year old Jeep died. I had already replaced the moter and front axle so I figured why not fix the air. I was expecting to spend a couple thousand dollars but to my surprise it was only around $1,150. Great. A week later my A/C isnt working again. I called and the Jeep was back in the shop within the hour. The problem was theirs, a bad part, but was back in my driveway the next day. This shop is honest, reliable and affordable. Veterans get a discount and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a good repair shop.

These guys know their vehicles and parts. They do their best to stick to a quote, even when the promised part turns out to not be available (for various reasons). I got better tires for the same price due to a technical snafu when ordering.

Amazing shop! Paul went over and above to diagnose and repair a problem with our Lexus SUV. This is definitely the place for car owners, who no longer have faith that they wont be taken to the cleaners every time a car needs repairs! Never seen a shop that doesnt obsess on trying to upsell until I came here. They only do what is needed and they do it well.

Sun Valley Tire is respectful, accommodating and honest. I brought my car into the shop without an appointment after calling with an emergency. Even though they were extremely busy and could not fit my car in the service area it was repaired and ready to go from the parking lot. I was amazed at how kind these people were to me. I had my dog with me and it was scorching hot. I did not have other transportation and was on the road with little to no means of dealing with the situation. These people took care of me like I was a friend or relative. I will buy tires from them in the near future. They switched that flat tire out and put on the spare without a charge to me and gave me a quote on two new tires that I could not get anywhere else. Great prices and decent people at this shop. I highly recommend them.

Upsetting experience. The shop continued to say that my car would be done the next day, which went on for a week. The reasons why it took so long were not specific. When I finally went in to pick it up, I was told that they would never work on my type of vehicle again due to its structure. This really saddened me because I cannot say that those who interacted were knowledgable for the job. I wish I had been referred out since this turned into a 7 day long burden. I understand that this may not have been expected, but in the end, the needs of the shop overruled the needs of the customer.

Scandalous on every level. All these desk guys are dealership retreads, same tactics & lack of ethics. Protect your bank account & run to any other garage! (or watch Paul take every lone customer aside, either in the office or literally outside, while he lies to them with no witnesses ... if he is helping you you better ask for documentation, or bring your own witness. He got me 3 times in 2 visits. 1) I was told spending $190 to service my AC system & replace both Schrader valves would fix my AC problem 100%, and then they discovered a new issue that I had already described to them in the first place. 2) I was told that returning with it the next day for a correct diagnosis I wouldnt be double charged for the AC system recharge, the next day it was included in the VERBAL quote anyways. 3) when I took it to some local auto AC experts the next week they had to replace a leaky Schrader valve AGAIN?? ... All i accomplished by going here was an oil change, and it cost me $234 & 7 HOURS of life (why did you guys put at $10 shop supplies fee on my bill?) There is a lot of discrimination going on at this place!!
