This shop is fantastic!!! Always more than happy to help out and go above and beyond to get your bike fixed and back onto the trail as fast as possible. My son blew the seals on his fork and was racing the next day. They had the parts and dropped everything to get his bike ready to race. Even found a broken bolt that would have ended his race and had a spare to fix it. Highly recommend

These are my go-to guys for bike stuff. Theyll usually have the right part when the other shops wont. Extremely knowledgeable staff that knows how to set up bikes correctly.

I worked with two different people at the shop and they both were extremely helpful and patient with a newbie like me. They didnt try to upsell or use a lot of lingo I couldnt understand but explained everything and have a genuine passion for helping get started and keep going on the right bike for them. Definitely recommend for people of all levels.

So this shop sells BMX / Mountain bikes, had one on a repair stand but told me they didnt fix bikes with fat tires??? What the heck do they think Mountain bikes use? Said they dont carry the inner tubes. How can you be a bike repair shop and not service different types of bikes that you sell? Dont waste your time if you have an all terrain bike that has tire issues. Got the impression he just didnt want my business. Ill be taking my bike and my money someplace else.

I had a very good experience. They helped me with my beloved old bike and its still working great. I thought I left a review a year ago. I had the name of the owner and another who helped me as well. My phone must have died before I could post. Ive forgotten names but Im still very happy that I went there.

We had some rented bikes from Phx and came up north (Prescott and Sedona) to ride. When I ran into trouble, the guys at Bikesmith helped on the spot with a quick dropper repair on the spot. Got us back out on the trails that day. Thanks guys!

Been hard to find a shop that really understands how to properly repair and condition a bike. These guys are great!!! Ive known Andrew and Leah for a while, and when I decided to bring my mountain bike out of mothballs they did an outstanding tune-up on it. The bike had been previously tuned nicely by another bike shop 5 or 6 years ago and then sat, and Andrew was honest about its current condition, 5 years later - and most certainly saved me money with his appraisal. My bike is 16 years old and now it runs and looks like it was when it was new. Totally reasonable pricing and friendly service. I am so happy!

Mike and Andrew are great guys to deal with and their love of riding shows. I was shopping for a bike but was hesitant to order one without riding the exact model and size. My experience with this shop was excellent! Each employee with whom I dealt was friendly and knowledgeable. My repair was completed as promised and economically. The mechanics encouraged me to return should any problems arise and seemed genuinely concerned with the quality of my riding experience. I also purchased a used commuter bike several years ago and continue to ride it on a regular basis with no issues. When checking out the reviews of this business, make note of the chronology; the current crew of employees kicks it!

Been to every shop in town and this one is the BEST! All of these negative reviews for this place are from a few owners ago and have nothing to do with the current owners and staff. Andrew, Leah, Ray, and Chris are all top notch people and bike gurus. Not only can they share firsthand knowledge of all the best riding trails in town (because they are some of the best riders in the area), but they can completely rebuild/fix every aspect of your bicycle blindfolded due to the amount of experience they all possess.Everytime I go into the shop they are always full of positive energy and willing to answer any of my questions with a smile...I hardly EVER leave reviews for businesses but once I saw the negative reviews that dont have anything to do with these current folks, I felt I had to set the record straight for any prospective customers. Not very friendly . Could care less about my business or not . And they have a dog there it you try to pet it it bites you . I’m fixing up a bike for my friend and went in to air up the tires I had a pump at home but I didn’t have th energy to hand pump it that day . So I walked the bike to there shop asked it they could air it up for me so I see if they where gonna hold air . He dint say hello to me for starters . And when I asked them if they could air it up he pointed the to hand pumps said you can use those . I said I was hoping you could use the air hose . He didn’t say anything kinda with an attitude took my bike and filled it . I said thanks just wanted to see if they were holding air . One was leaking I could hear it . He said nope not holding air and walked away for me doing whatever he was doing . Didn’t ask if I needed a tube or can I help you fix it nothing . So I left checked it out myself and figured out it needed a tube .dumb me went back said I needed a tube . Asked him what size tube I needed he said “wasn’t really paying attention ...” . Also my son went in there to get tubes and chain and the next day mind you he hadn’t ridden his bike yet and the tire wasn’t holding air he went back to tell him they made him buy another tube at half price when it was there tube to begin with ... Shame on me for not going to high gear CINDY AT HIGH GEAR IS THE BEST I RECOMEND THEM !!! I went for convince NEVER AGAIN !!

Dont listen to the other reviews.I have had the chance to do business with all the bike shops in the tri-city area, and Bikesmith is my favorite of all. Not only do they carry many great bikes from Giant, KHS, Pivot, and Devinci, they also do quality work with their repairs, and within reasonable time. Andy, Ray, Little Ray, and John are all very experienced and know bikes inside and out. They can get you fair prices on great products, and what they dont have in store, they can have it in within a day or two. Also, they are the most centrally-located shop in town, which is convenient. As soon as you get to know the employees better, you will receive outstanding customer service and be satisfied when you walk out the door.

Absolutely the best shop in Prescott. Andrew and the guys know bikes and local trails.I trashed a carbon brake riding the Dells. No other shop had my interest in mind. Manzanita Bikes actually tried to gouge me on the price of a replacement, plus a 4 day wait! High Gear Bikes was good; they suggested ordering a replacement on Amazon and said I could ship it to their address. Iron Clad Bikes said my brake (XO carbon) was outdated and should be replaced with a Deore- this on an $8K carbon XC bike! Bike Smith, on the other hand, set me up with a loaner brake, installed it, ordered a rebuild kit for my brake ($24), and went over my bike and made some adjustments... for nothing.Absolutely the best customer service Ive seen, not just in a bike shop, but in any business. Plus they sponsor races and have free beer after weekly rides! Ill never go anywhere else in Prescott.

The other reviews of this shops poor service arent even from people who had work done here. Not only were they not friendly, as stated in other reviews, but they did not perform the appropriate tune up repairs that we agreed on when I dropped off my bike. They were supposed to order kevlar tires, but didnt, and they said nothing when i picked up the bike. The only way I knew was because, thank god, they didnt charge me for the kevlar, they charged me for the cheapies they put on the bike. Then, when I DID get a flat (because I did not have kevlar tires) I went to patch the tube myself, finding that there was no goo in the tube, which they DID charge me for. And if there WAS goo in the tube, I wouldnt have gotten the flat... the puncture was tiny. Stay away. This shop has no integrity.
