No longer a loyal customer. Over the last few years I have spent over 50k at Home Depot. I have encountered a few unfriendly employees from time to time, but nothing to this degree. I recently had an issue with a material I needed for a project that I was in the middle of being discontinued. When I reached out to the store for help, I was surprised by their complete lack of professionalism, compassion and even common courtesy. The gentleman at the pro desk told me there was nothing he could do to help and just advised me to contact the national office. When I finally called the national number for help, they informed me that even though other stores in different areas carried the material I needed, they had no mechanism to ship store to store. BUYER BEWARE! If Home Depot stops carrying something you need, they will not warn you, they will not help you and they could care less. I am now literally left with a half finished project that has taken years to complete. I will never set foot in this Home Depot again and would strongly advise you to shop elsewhere.
I would like to thank The Home Depot Pro Desk service and specifically Ms. Vanessa Derma, for being so prompt and helpful recently when I had a problem with the installation of a screen door I had purchased from The Home Depot. I am totally pleased with the way the situation was handled, and for the professional treatment I received. I will continue to be a happy Home Depot customer.
