I swung by here on a weekday morning for an apple fritter and chocolate old fashioned. The old fashioned was deliciously crispy and light, and the chocolate wasnt too sweet. The apple fritter was disappointing though; there were basically no apples in it, and the inside was a bit mushy. It was also overly doused with glazed sugar and too sweet. Prices were okay as these two came out to be $2.60 post-tax paid in cash (got a $.10 discount using cash).

A wonderful staff owned donut shop. With absolutely phenomenal donuts for a superb price. I pick up a dozen donuts for my co-workers sometimes, and every person who has eaten one of their pastiries has loved it. I cant recommend this place more.The only distinction with their rival donut shop Outlaw donuts, is that their products are slightly smaller. However, I feel like the size is perfect for the price. And the bundles you can get if you order more than 2x4x6 is great. Lastly. Coffee isnt bad either!

Actually, a good donut is hard to find anymore, think it has to do with the flour. All three donuts I ate had a little crunch to them and I loved that. The dough was soft and not chewy. They were on the sweet side but this was the best donut I have eaten over the 12 years I have lived in the area. I gobbled the three donuts and I could have eaten another three. Good job, Daylight you know what you are doing and NO GREASE!!!

Always a good place to stop for coffee and donuts...the owners are pleasant and attentive and the donuts are wonderful. They are open on Sunday morning and make a great before or after Church stop as well as any time through the week.

I’m not sure where all these reviews are getting donuts at. I’ve been here twice and every time they are out of donuts. The last time it was 9am and they had no glazed donuts and were not making any. After a month they still can’t seem to figure it out. The donuts are good if you can get one. Maybe I will try again in a few months.

My wife and I just went to Daylight Donuts for the first time about time we have affordable fresh Donuts, they were great and fresh people need to give this place a break they just opened up give them the benefit of the doubt. Love getting the donuts here! Sorry Outlaw, my allegiance has changed. My only tip for newcomers: go early! Whatever time youre thinking, go 30 minutes earlier than that.

Had a great experience there this morning. Doughnuts were good, coffee was good, kids enjoyed it, and the staff was really friendly and accommodating. Just needs a little music in this place to not make it so quiet :-)

I went thru the drive thru and ordered an apple fritter for my husband and a cinnamon roll for me. They dont have cinnamon rolls so they put a glazed donut in there. Cinnamon rolls are baked like bread with cinnamon! Heads up . Prices are high, but the quality is ok. It was $4.00 with a tip for 2 items. Yikes

The doughnuts and pastries here are like no other in the quad city area in that you do not have that heavy gut bomb feeling after eating anything from this shop. A couple of other establishments also put out excellent product (Outlaw Doughnuts, Wildflower) but only Daylight Doughnuts is absent that deep fried food feeling. Highly recommended, easy street access.

I am not able to put no stars so heres at least one. Employees were rude to customers and each other. Doughnuts were very dry; tasted like it was made the day prior. Overpriced for what I got. Overall unsatisfied and would not recommend to anyone.

I have never seen a donut shop unable to keep up with demands on a daily basis. To top it off service is slow, donuts are inconsistent, and the parking lot is hard to get into when turning left. I am a fan of Daylight Donuts but this location is not keeping up to the brand name. I hope they eventually get it figured out but I will be choosing Outlaw Donuts for now on
