Incredible experience thrifting here! It’s a dream for a grad student budget. The owner and staff were attentive, kind and helpful. The prices are SO good compared to retail stores. I got a super nice Zara coat for $28, a CS Princeton sweatshirt for $12, an Ann Taylor cardigan for $12, and so on. All clean and nearly new or new condition (hence the name of the store)!

Came for the 5$ sale and the store is very disorganized and dirty most of the items were torn and damaged or visibly and smellibly filthy and unwashed, definitely not worth 5$. Ads say everything 5$ or less this week but it is not true as the only items in the store that were in good condition or worth anything were not included in the sale the ads were misleading. Most of the staff seemed friendly except for one of them whom I believe to be the owner/manager she was rude and irritable Very unprofessional treatment I will not be returning due to an all around sketchy and undesirable experience

The clothes is clean, eclectic and well priced. They support scholarships to Princeton Day School through sales since the 1940s. Big sales a couple times a year.

I believe the bad reviews of consignments being “lost”, consigners never being paid or having their items disappear. Everyone who works here seems nice except the owner who seems to only be in it for the money. This leads me to think that this is no longer a fundraising operation for PDS families to donate things to raise money for the school. The way it’s operated now, it seems purely for the owners’ profit and that she’s not in any rush to let people know about this change.Website now says “under new management” and some vague wording about how store still benefits the school. I wouldn’t be surprised if benefit was minimal and this sentence was included to mislead PDS families into continuing their pure donations (vs consignments) for the owners’ profit.Store is ok but owner gives off bad juju. Sorry to say it, but she doesn’t seem honest.

I loved this simple store, you need to look around to find findings. The prices are fair and the woman in the shop was kind and helpful

I have had many great experiences at the Nearly New Shop. What many people do not know is that this store has been here for 75 years and really value each and every individual customer. The Shop is nonprofit and all purchases go to a good cause, so nice!! I found a gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer dress during $5 week for $5! Best consignment shop ever. The woman was so helpful and kind.

Great store, great prices, helpful staff. I am an experienced thrift store shopper and Nearly New is now on top of my list. The store is packed with clothes, it makes it a bit hard to look through the merchandise but other wise no complaints.

A friend and I went on $10 bag day and it was fantastic! Fill a bag with items for $10 no matter what you had in the bag. Very nice and very friendly staff. Interesting mix of items and fun one of a kind finds.

Great thrift shop that I enjoy exploring, but I’m often so disappointed by the customer service. I went in to consign brand items twice in the past year, silk, wool sweaters, brands like Sandro, Ted Baker and Tommy Hilfiger and the staff (and the owner) were rude and unpleasant. I was lectured to bring in items on hangers - which isn’t always possible if you walk or bike everywhere, staff suggested I go home, clean items and try again (pilling or some fibers on a wool sweater doesn’t mean it’s dirty) and it just felt like they’d rather not help me or look at my items. I have been here several times now, both as a paying customer and consigner and have left frustrated with the unkind, condescending treatment.

Don’t let the picture of its location trick you, the store is in the back. Its a cozy place, it has a lot of clothes, although hardly any men’s clothes. The prices were a little bit high, overall it was okay.

Hard to find but great clothes. Mens shoes were kinda weak but everything else is nearly new. And it didnt smell like a thrift store.

Customer service bad. As it is a used clothing shop, they should be able to discount clothing being sold in bad shape. It is supposed to be cleaned before sold, but the clothing I chose turned out to be dirty and stained when I brought it up to the cashier. The owner took them away and said they would be washed. Never gave me a chance to to buy them at a discount, or even buy them. They have lost a long time customer with this bad behavior. The attitude of the owner was dismissive.
