My fiance reserved a truck here, showed up, and it wasnt there. He had to change moving weekends and rent through Uhaul, texting all of our friends who were waiting to help him move that the truck wasnt at the location. So, now I am moving, and I reserved a truck at this location because its close to home. He reminded me of the story, so I decided to book through a Uhaul location close by. We both have used Uhaul and had good experiences. I call Penske to cancel my reservation, and the salesperson argues with me for 5 minutes about why I should stay with Penske, how hes going to give me a discounted rate, and how Uhaul cant guarantee my truck will be there. He said Penske guarantees truck AND location. Well, I told him, that didnt happen last time, because the truck wasnt there. He didnt apologize. He just kept repeating their mantra: We can guarantee truck and location, and Uhaul cant. That was the opposite of my fiances experience, and he refused to acknowledge, and he would not cancel my order but just kept arguing with me. I understand trying to sell and keep a customer, but at some point, you have to let go and just cancel the order. He finally did when I just went silent and stopped responding, after multiple times of simply saying, I understand, but I would like to cancel my order. So fed up! What a phone call and terrible customer service experience.
